You don’t have to pay for the penguin walk. We saw lots of penguins close up. We weren’t as close to the water, but we saw lots of activity and saved $60. US

This tour has excellent inclusions in the price paid (VIP option means all admission tickets are taken care of except for the boat trip to see the seals). Lina was an engaging guide and Leon a great driver. If there’s a negative, it’s the lunch stop. It was about 2 hours as the service at the restaurant was slow and I would rate my meal as average, though others were happy with theirs. II would have preferred to grab a snack and explore some of Simon’s Town. Perhaps that could be suggested as an option.

Awesome experience! Sylvia and Benny were absolutely amazing and made the whole trip so much fun. Absolutely amazing tour! At first we were concerned it may be too fast-paced and rushed but it definitely wasn't! We had enough time at all the stops and it we had such a great time. The explanations by our host was also really helpful and the energy and excitement was much enjoyed. We would have liked to have a small breakfast stop as we were picked up very early so couldn't get something to eat and didn't end up eating till around 2pm, but that's the only thing I would have picked up on. Aside from that we loved it and this tour was easily one of our favourite things on our holiday.

Group wasn’t small, close to 20 people on a shuttle. Do not get the VIP package. There was practically no difference between the standard and VIP package. Our tour guide knew we were running behind so we ended up skipping the line for the entire group anyway. Just make sure to buy your tickets to places ahead of time before starting the tour.

An execellent tour. Packs a lot into one day without it feeling rushed. Nathan was a great guide. He kept the tour on time and kept the energy in the bus high. He was also a font of knowledge and able to kkeep the relevant information coming. The highlight of the tour was the penguins and Nathan made sure we knew where to go to get the best sightings, Our driver was also great - we referred to him in a friendly way as "Captain"

I do not recommend. There was nothing small about this group, quite in fact were too many, too loud, too slow.. awful experience. Both the driver and tour guide were nice but not enough to compensate the experience.

Tour was great because it had a lot of other vibe stops beside the main targets of Cape Point and Boulder Beach. The seal island was really cool, the beach stop at the end was great too.
The BoKaap walk could be skipped in my opinion, maybe replace it with the Ostrich farm?
Lovely also that there were absolutely no shopping stops at partner businesses, like some tours use to in other countries.
The guide Noma was great, very nice, informative and patient. Loved that she gave the fitter among us the alternative to walk from the Cape of Good Hope to Cape Point. It was an incredibly beautiful trek which I can only recommend, if you're a bit fit, have trekking shoes and the weather plays nice. The restaurant chosen for lunch had good food and we had enough time to eat.
Tip - take some snacks for the morning. Besides lunch you don't have time to grab anything more than a soda or coffee.

I've never wrote a bad review but, I need to write this so other people know what to expect.
On November 18th, we went on the 5 star small group penninsula tour. Our guide, Nomasakane was outstanding! She was knowledgeable and her voice was very pleasant. She answered all of our questions promptly.
However, my husband and I are beyond disappointed with the transportation arrangements. The whole thing was deceiving and misleading. " 5 star small group" What a joke! If you consider 22 people cramped in a small van "small group" and the comfort subpar then maybe the organizer is correct. We didn't have a problem with the number of people but, the big problem was the fact that they had regular seats only for 18 people. My husband and I and another couple were the unlucky ones who got on the van last. At the back of the van was only a bench available. Really uncomfortable. The space between the chairs in front of us and the bench we sat on was very small. My husband is a tall guy. He and the other man were not comfortable. On top of that, the portion of the side of the van where the bench was didn't have windows. We couldn't see anything outside. This was a full day tour. Needless to say, we are unhappy. We paid the same amount of money as the rest of the people in the van but we didnt had the comfort or the view as the rest of the people. We demand a full refund do to the transportation conditions.

We are absolutely delighted to hear that your guide, Nomasakane, was outstanding! She is indeed one of our stars, and we will be sure to pass your compliments on to her. Her knowledge and passion are exactly what we strive for.
However, we feel it is very important to clarify the technical specifications of the vehicle you traveled in, as there seems to be a significant misunderstanding regarding our fleet standards:
Vehicle Quality: You were transported in one of our brand new 2025 New Generation Luxury Sprinters. These are the latest models on the market, specifically acquired to ensure the highest level of comfort and safety for our guests.
Seating Capacity: These luxury vehicles are strictly certified for 18 or 19 passengers (plus the driver/guide). It is technically impossible for there to be 22 passengers on board.
Seat Comfort: We must correct the record regarding the seating. There are no benches in our fleet. Every seat in the vehicle is a certified, individual, reclinable luxury seat with full air-conditioning. The back row consists of individual seats aligned together, but they are standard luxury seats, not a bench.
We pride ourselves on offering a "Small Group" experience, which is defined in the industry as a group of under 20 people (as opposed to 40-60 seater large coaches).
We regret that the back row did not meet your personal preference for window viewing. For guests who require specific seating arrangements, extra legroom, or a guaranteed window seat for every passenger, we strongly recommend booking a Private Cape Town Tour. This allows for complete customization and exclusivity.

Good experience. Both Sylvie and Akim were very helpful and friendly and made it into an altogether great day out.
Nathan was great and very accommodating. Viator advertised more stops than the tour had scheduled but he made a couple extra stops to accommodate, which was appreciated by all—particularly those who had the actual schedule and got bonus stops. Both the driver and guide were engaging, professional, and tried to make everyone comfortable. Beautiful scenery. A great way to tour the southern west coast.
Had an absolute amazing time! The host Nomasakhane and driver Leon were so great! Both were extremely friendly and knowledgeable! We really enjoyed their input and historical knowledge of the areas we visited. The views were stunning! Absolutely recommend this tour!

I was excited due to the great reviews when I booked the tour but the reality was different. Overall the tour felt very rushed and we were home sooner than I expected. First, we were given three different pickup times which was confusing to start with. Second, we never stopped at Noordhoek village as the itinerary said. Our guide asked “does anyone want coffee?”and no one spoke up so we didn’t go - later I realized this was part of the experience that we missed . Third we were supposed to have one hour at the cape of good hope but it was more like 20 minutes- in an hour I would have been able to climb a bit to the top so I am sad I missed that. Similarly for the penguins - we were supposed to be there for an hour which ended up as 40 minutes which felt rushed. Finally we never stopped at Simon’s beach as the itinerary said and I was looking forward to that.
The driving was fine and the van was comfortable. Our guide was very friendly and informative. However, in short I am sad we spent more time circling Cape Town in the morning to exchange drivers and pick up people than at any of the sights.

We apologize for the confusing pickup times, as well as the missed or shortened stops at Noordhoek Farm Village, Cape of Good Hope, and Boulders Beach. These stops are important parts of the experience and should never feel rushed. We’re also reviewing why Simon’s Town Beach was skipped, as this is typically a scenic highlight unless weather or time constraints prevent it.
While we're glad you found the van comfortable and the guide friendly and informative, we deeply regret that you felt the tour didn’t allow enough time to enjoy the key sights. Your feedback is being used to help us improve our time management and guest communication for future tours.

Sights were awesome. I thought at first that it had too many stops when reading the itinerary but the time per location was just right and the tour didnt tire you out. Of course there were a couple of places there that I would visit again but for the better part of the day!!
Excellent service from the tour operator. They answered queries on the viator app quickly, confirmed the night before and prompt. Nathan and Leon had the right level of chatty and information sharing. They made sure we were all safe (traveling with 80 yr old mom!) And very accomodating.

A fantastic experience! Seifu and Zane were excellent guides/drivers and are very knowledgeable about the area. They stopped to point out other wildlife along the way, were humorous and fun and quite understanding when I was ill during the trip. The restaurant we stopped at for lunch was excellent and each stop had enough time to see everything.
