An area of spectacularly white sand dunes, Atlantis Dunes makes a dynamic backdrop for adventure. Experience them on an all-terrain vehicle (ATV or quad bike) with a small group and a guide on this fantastic package that includes photos ready for you to share. This is the worse thing that has happened to me . I traveled from Ghana to Cape Town, I arrived at 8am in the morning , I didn’t even check in my hotel and went straight to the Atlantis dune, drove over an hour to the location , only to be told they are not operating . Meanwhile I was not informed and they have refused to refund my money to me . DO NOT BOOK THEM !

We were told we can reschedule as we were caught in accident on our way to the venue . We immediately called for assistance and the manager agreed to reschedule for us on The Saturday for the following Tuesday we texted and called throughout but we got no response from the so called manager. Poor communication and lies from
The manager told 1 thing on the phone and ignore us to only tell us a different story on text. No one tells you that you pay more than the original price to reschedule and that information is shared with you on the email confirmation or the ticket or the booking confirmation via WhatsApp they vaguely say “rescheduling is not free”

We booked for 10am, we arrived 30min before but people who arrived after us were given first priority, their tap functionality on the swiping machine was not working and we didnt have our physical cards and we had to pay for our riding permits, fast foward they tell us that we are going to be moved to the 11am slot and on the other hand we asked our uber driver to wait for us for an hour now we had to extend his waiting which meant that we had to pay more money. I really had a bad experience

They are very unprofessional, we booked and paid online. When we arrive, they allowed white people whom didn't pay in advance to go 1st. We had to wait for the whole hour. No apology, our itinerary was messed up and we cud have slept 1 hour more.

We arrived at The Dunes, paid the entrance fee, and wasn’t given any ticket or proof of payment. After that, we were told to wait at the back — and ended up waiting for over an hour with no updates at all. When our ride was finally supposed to start, we were informed it was delayed.
The entire experience was extremely frustrating. There was absolutely no communication, no staff member checking on guests, and the person we signed our indemnity with was suddenly nowhere to be found.
The booking instructions say instructors are clearly identifiable by specific clothing, but that wasn’t the case. Instead, we had to walk around asking random people for help because nothing was organised or clear.
For the amount of money you pay, you expect a smoother, more professional experience. Unfortunately, this fell far below expectations.

Whoever that lady was who was in charge , I heard her name is Dee . Very rude. Swore at us and we want a refund! You cannot swear at customers . We need a partial refund of some sort and an APOLOGY. Gave other people our time slot and our bikes when we clearly arrived early. When a booking is late there’s a cancellation fee right ? We started our ride at 3:35. That’s 35 mins late. We want a compensation

This was the worst. The atv were woren and damaged. We had to wait for a new atv in middle of tour and someone wrecked. We didn’t get the full experience. Only rode for about 20 minutes bc others had wrecks in group. The group was too large. I have done this excursion here before and it was totally a different experience.

I was extremely disappointed. Had a terrible experience. Decided to book for myself and hubby as a birthday suprise....to my dismay. We were the only people for that specific slot and the guide rushed through everything. After the safety instructions which was rushed through... in less than 3 min we were on a bike. I was given no time to become orientated with the bike as it was my first time and the guide was impatient and practically rude asking me if I'm Gona go through with it as my time was running out, mind you this was in less than 10min since we arrived. In order to not spoil the day for my husband I then decided to have him go alone and I proceeded back to the car. In less than 45 min my husband returned and also mentioned that the guide rushed him, and according to our knowledge as per the app this was supposed to last for about 1 hour. I normally don't like to leave bad reviews but this left an extremely bad taste seeing that it was supposed to be a special fun outing.

They don’t tell you that you must be 30min early. You pay 250pp if you’re “late”.
The ride is not an hour long, it’s about 40min
Their quad bikes are old and so may break at any point of your ride.

If you can, book this with a different operator.

The group we were in was too big,(20 people), and it slowed down the adventure. Plus, we had to pay an extra entry fee of R200 pp on top of the activity that we were not told or explain about beforehand.
Hopefully next time it will be a smaller group.

I booked this tour as a pre-wedding activity for friends. There is nothing in the description that lets you know that it is 45+ minutes from town. I did not find that out until after I booked the non-refundable excursion. I emailed the owner for two days to state that we would not be able to arrive at the scheduled time due to the distance. I never received a response. In fact, Viator emailed me later to see whether he responded. One person in our party did arrive at the scheduled time and let them know what was happening.
When I arrived, the employee that met us was hostile, rude, and disrespectful. He wasn't even apologetic that I had never received a response after reaching out for two days. In fact, he suggested that I was lying about reaching out. I let him know that we were doing a pre-wedding activity and I did not want to spoil the mood for the couple. I asked him to lower his voice and he refused. He continued to act hostile and told me that we should be grateful since he was already supposed to be off work. He could care less that the couple was in earshot.
The next day, I reported his behavior to the owner. I told him that as a business owner myself, I would have fired someone who behaved as his employee did. The owner was kind and listened carefully. He told me that he would get the employee's side. The owner later told me that his employee claimed that I "just came to argue". Let's just assume that outrageous statement was made because I am a woman. Regardless, the owner failed to adequately address my concerns or his employee's behavior and the impact on a couple's wedding weekend.
I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS EXPERIENCE.
