Great tour guide

Excellent tour guide with extensive knowledge about the site. Be warned, the site itself has very, very long lines. You need to pay for 3 tix to get in, yes 3 different tix, and they are not cheap, for a quick 30min excursion to see the sites. The tour guide was great, and stood in line for us. I would not recommend visiting this site, but if you must see it, use this company!

What a great tour! Its so nice to get away from the "hotel zone" in Cancun and see a little bit more of Mexico! Our tour guide (Jonathan) was very knowledgeable (even had a small binder of photos/info about the sites) and did a good job guiding us along and also giving us time to explore a bit on our own. We definitely thought it was worth the extra money to NOT be in a huge tour group on a big bus shuffling from one ruin to the next.

Tulum was beautiful...

Tulum was beautiful however it rained no stormed the entire time. The other tour companies were prepared with umbrellas and raincoats our company wasn’t. We cut our tour short. When we suggested an alternative on the way back to our resort our driver talked us out of it. I got the feeling that he had something else that he wanted to do.

Top-Notch Tulum Tour!

Gabriel was an excellent tour guide! He had the perfect balance - pleasant and friendly without too much discourse on the 1.5 hour ride each way (we stayed just outside of Cancun) so we could relax during the drive, yet very knowledgeable and conversational during the 1.5 hour tour of the ruins, which for family was the perfect amount of time to absorb as much information as possible in the humid weather. We’ve traveled the world and have been on many tours, and not all guides can get this balance right… but Gabriel definitely did! I’d recommend this tour for anyone traveling to Tulum.

Best tour to see Tulum If you are short of time. Very knowledgable guide Gabriel, explained the ruins and history very well. He also happens to be good photographer. Took tour operator Nefi's advice left Cancun at 6.30 saved probably 2 hours on traffic and entry line. Good tour.

Excellent but better explanation on website needed!

We absolutely loved the tour . Our guide/driver was incredible. Gabriel was very knowledgeable in the history of Mayan people and we got a fabulous overview on that was polite, kind and very assertive . The only thing I would say that I was surprised ( nothing to do with the quality of the person who drove us and was our tour guide )was that it is unclear on website what is “customizable tour” meaning or private tour.. What was written in advertisement of the website it said design your own tour, which in my mind meant that it’s customizable tour which at the end it wasn’t, so that was the only downside, but thanks to our amazing guide he did customize it, but I had to pay extra. This was the only confusionu and downside so just be aware when booking the tour is not customizable. It is only the tour of the Maya ruins in Tulum and in the ride to and back from it.

We booked the private Tulum Express tour as we only wanted to see the ruins and didn’t want to make multiple stops at other hotels. Our tour guide, Gabriel, was amazing. He was on time for our hotel pick up in Cancun, and provided us with tons of details on Mayan history. Many of the details would have been lost on us, if we didn’t have Gabriel as a guide. Definitely would recommend him and Make Your Own Tour.

We arrived at the valet 7 minutes late and the very first thing our guy said to us was, “I almost left you guys no show” then proceeded to get in the car and we rode to Tulum for an hour and 45 minutes in silence.

Thank you very much for your time and comment on the platform, we do tours daily, and it is very easy to get negative comments, but quite the opposite with excellent or good comments. I personally had the pleasure of serving you, and when we apply the no show it is because you have been waiting for more than 30 minutes without hearing from them, it is interesting that you have communicated 45 minutes before to make sure that we will be there and once I was in the lobby, you did not show up at the agreed time, the hotel staff contacted your room, since they do not allow me to be with the vehicle for a long time in the lobby. However, we did the tour normally, that is, anticipating any uncomfortable situation as in the other tours, that is, they did not have to wait in lines for their tickets since we anticipated all this, as well as having a nearby space. in the parking lot and not quite the opposite as having parked very far from the site. And for my part in explaining the place to you as your tourist guide, I think I did my best, but in case not, for sure this comments will push me for work harder in any point.
