We upgraded to e-bikes which were great especially on hills. We felt we got a good sense of some beautiful parts of Calgary, especially along the river. The Saigon coffee at Hutch was great. The cinnamon rolls at Carmella were out of this world! We never would have guessed they were vegan. The light lunch at shoes and canoes was great too. Just right after a morning of biking. We highly recommend this to anyone looking for a taste of Calgary! 😁

This tour organizer really doesn't seem to be very organized. I made this booking for Labor Day Weekend, about a good month in advance, for me and a friend. When we got there, the tour guide was on the phone arguing with his boss. They had trouble pulling up our reservation (acting as if we'd made it just the day before), and wouldn't have had enough bikes for everyone if two other people hadn't decided to drop out at that very moment. We did go to a couple of really nice places around Calgary, and it was quite a workout that really took us around the city, but for the price we paid, I don't think we got our money's worth. At the last place in particular, the restaurant had prepared seafood paella for us, but my friend has a shellfish allergy (which I noted when I made the booking), and the restaurant had absolutely nothing for him as a result. These folks appear very disorganized, did not look over the bookings, and did not seem to have done their homework. Wouldn't recommend to anyone else.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you left the tour feeling disappointed, but we would like to clarify a few points for future guests reading this review. Our Calgary Food Bike Tour is an approximately 18 km guided ride at a casual pace, and guests are provided with pedal-assist e-bikes. The experience is designed to explore different areas of Calgary while enjoying local food stops along the way. We’re also unsure how the conclusion was reached that we would not have had enough e-bikes if the other guests had participated. Our additional e-bikes are stored away and are not visible to guests at the meeting location. We had the e-bikes required for the guests booked on the tour that day. We would also like to clarify that the Tour Guide was not arguing with their boss. Our guides regularly communicate with our team before and during tours to provide updates, confirm guest information, and ask questions when needed. This is part of our normal operating procedure. Regarding the final restaurant stop, we take dietary restrictions and allergies seriously. When the restaurant became aware that your friend could not have the seafood paella, they offered to prepare a chicken paella specifically for him. Unfortunately, that alternative was declined. We understand that every guest may have a different perception of value, and we respect that. However, the full guided bike tour was provided, bikes were available, the group visited the scheduled local stops, and an alternative meal was offered when the dietary concern arose. We’re disappointed that the experience did not meet your expectations, but we appreciate the opportunity to provide additional context and clarify what occurred that day.

What an outstanding experience! Dylan, our guide, set our bikes up to match our size and needs. The ride was fantastic from all the great history and interesting facts in and around Calgary Dylan gave us to the wonderful neighborhood inspired foods. We ate at Hutch, Canela Vegan Bakery and Bodega Tapas Bar by Sabor. At each location we were greeted with kindness and felt welcomed. The food at each stop was delicious and quite honestly some of the best I have ever had. Each establishment served unique and elevated dishes. We also were given information on the history of neighborhood and restaurant by their respective managers. This tour and foods exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds!

Definitely arrive hungry as it was three very delicious food stops!! our tour guide was wonderful and made the tour even better with her bright personality! Just note to allow extra time than it says, which was one of the things that made it nice as we weren’t rushed through the meals, but it definitely took longer than the original three hours, which just was a Big plus.

Our tour guide was wonderful except we were at the back of the pack and could not hear all of her comments. The sites were beautiful and the food was more than we expected and delicious. Good thing we worked off some of it with our ride😆. We would recommend the tour but don’t eat before you go, you will have plenty of food along the way.

Loved this tour! Kaitlyn was a fantastic guide. We went to 3 amazing restaurants, and all the food was delicious. The bike ride was so fun throughout the city, but was best along the river. The only issue we had was those at the back of the group couldn't always hear what our guide was saying. Also, I think the guides should be allowed to share the meals with us: they should be included for them, as well.
