Worst Tour Ever

Worst tour ever. The tour guide barely spoke English. He took us to 5 stops and said “go take pictures”. There were 3 couples on the tour. One couple left at the first stop. The other couple agreed with us that it was the Worst Tour Ever It was an expensive tour. supposed to be 4 hours and actually was 2. I am going to try and get my money back but am doubtful. This was a waste of time

According to our records, the tour conducted yesterday lasted the full 3 hours, not just 2 hours as mentioned. Unfortunately this was not a very good tour. The driver tried to give us a little history but minimal. Went to Peace Bridge that is under construction. Drive thru old area to see city across river. Went to Prince Island Park for 10 minutes. Went to new Library- that could have been a drive by. Going inside to hurry back to Van silly. The Tower was interesting. A lot of walking which some weren’t able to do. One tourist, I assume, sat in front seat with driver and they spoke to each other in foreign language. Van hard to get in and out of and no offer of step stool. Just all in all not that good.

Enjoyed the narrative from our guide and his enthusiasm - liked the Calgary Tower - really enjoyed the view of downtown Calgary from the overlook above the Bow River. We needed a bigger van, however, very difficult to get in and out of that small van.

Unfortunately, it was not clear from the description that part of the tour had to be done on foot. This was not ideal for my husband! The planned duration of 45 minutes on the Calgary Tower was also too long, as here 20 minutes is sufficient Max 30. And it would be desirable if the guide is either a native speaker or knows English. This was not the case in our case, as he sometimes did not know the words and did not finish sentences!

Walking as much as riding in van

It turned out that there was a lot more walking involved than riding in the van to see the sites. After going up in the Calgary Tower, we had to walk across several blocks to the Calgary library. At least one person left the tour because they couldn't walk that much.

Three hour tour was a good introduction to the city to get a key locations a lot of in and out of the vehicle group size are small tour guy very knowledgable and friendly it’s one of the first trips you should take when you get to Calgary I’d never been there before so a good overview before you do any other tours ti get your bearings

The library was magnificent. Work of art!! Worth spending time! We also enjoyed looking back at the city at Crescent Heights. Princes Island was under construction, not worth it!
