Alexandria has potential

Aatifa_J, Apr 2026
The coastline for Alexandria is stunning. Outside of that, its probably my least favorite place in Egypt. There is more tombs to visit, but nothing overly captivating. The citadel was the nicest thing to see. We had lunch included in our tour and the restaurant we went to was pure chaos. It also didn't help that no one knew what was going on. The driver and the guides were great and tried to make us very comfortable. Mahmoud made a lasting impression on parents - so much so that they asked for him to take them around the following day. Nona was sweet and gentle with both my parents as well.

Professional, Memorable Alexandria Tour with Excellent Seafood & Safe Driving

Diana_C, Jan 2026
I had an excellent experience with my guide Eslam in Alexandria, Egypt. He was knowledgeable, well-organized, and explained the city’s history in a clear and engaging way. The tour covered the most important landmarks, including the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Qaitbay Citadel, and the beautiful Mediterranean Corniche, without feeling rushed. He also shared useful local tips that made the visit much more enjoyable. We stopped at a fantastic seafood restaurant known for its fresh fish and traditional Alexandrian flavors. The food was high quality, well-prepared, and truly reflected the local cuisine. The driver was extremely careful and diligent, always punctual and respectful, which made the entire trip feel safe and comfortable. Overall, this was a smooth, memorable experience and a great way to discover Alexandria. I highly recommend this guide and service to any tourist visiting the city.

Discover the Ancient and the modern Alexandria

RosaMaria_N, Oct 2025
It was a pleasant experience with a very adept and knowledgeable Tour guide, Bassant. She was courteous and patient with us who were all in our seniors. We explored ancient history of Alexandria, enjoyed a seafood lunch at Branzino. A trip to Bibliotheque gives you taste of contrast between the modern Egypt and the ancient Egypt Yousef our driver was very courteous and careful.

A Decent Day Trip, But Fell Short of “Private Tour” Expectations

John_M, May 2025
The highlights of this private day tour from Cairo to Alexandria were definitely the historical sites – the catacombs, the Citadel of Qaitbay, and the famous Alexandria Library were all worth seeing and made the long journey worthwhile. However, the overall experience didn’t quite live up to the expectations of a private tour. The guide had very limited information to share and was difficult to communicate with, which made it hard to really connect with the significance of the places we visited. Lunch was another letdown — the restaurant chosen had a surprisingly long wait despite being mostly empty, which cut into our touring time. Transportation-wise, the vehicle was a basic sedan that felt cramped for such a long ride, especially with limited air conditioning. I had to ask the driver for a charger for my phone, and there were a few unscheduled stops for gas and coffee along the way, which added unnecessary delays. Driving in Egypt is intense, so be prepared for aggressive traffic and constant horn honking. Honestly, I think I might have enjoyed this more as part of a group tour on a larger bus — more comfort, and perhaps a better guide. Not a bad trip overall, just underwhelming for the price and the promise of a "private" experience.

Dear John Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the historical highlights of Alexandria – the Catacombs, the Citadel of Qaitbay, and the Library – and that you found them worthwhile. We’re truly sorry that other aspects of your experience didn’t meet your expectations. We take your comments seriously and will investigate the concerns you raised, especially regarding the guide’s communication and the comfort of the transportation. Providing an informative and enjoyable tour is always our goal, and your insights will help us improve. As for the lunch delay and unscheduled stops, we apologize for the inconvenience this caused during your day. We will review our choice of restaurant partners and remind our drivers to avoid unnecessary delays unless requested by guests. We appreciate your honest review and will use your feedback to continue refining our service. If your travels bring you back to Egypt, we would be happy to provide a better experience.

Beautiful Alexandria

PEDRO_P, May 2025
This is an interesting tour of Alexandria. We visited all the places listed on the tour itinerary and our Guide Eslam was very experienced and informative. He provided valuable information on the places visited. We had an excellent lunch on a nice restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean. Our driver Mustafa was very attentive also. Be ready for five hours on the road, but besides that it’s a nice tour.

Great Alexandria

Jan_G, Apr 2025
The trip was fantastic. Our driver, Amr, picked us up on time and navigated the busy streets with ease. We were safe the entire time. Our guide, Naela, was so kind. She provided us with a lot of information about all the sites, as well as the history and cultural information. She took me back to ancient times and I felt I was there. They were so kind and we learned a lot, and they took lovely photos. The restaurant was good and the food was fresh. We got the all/inclusive package so we dis not have to worry about anything. I loved Fort Qaitbey, where the Great Lighthouse once stood. The Library of Alexandria is massive and beautiful, the catacombs incredible. Overall, highly recommended. Thank you for the hospitality!

Perfect way to fill free day in Cairo, prior to starting our 9-day Egypt tour.

Samuel_P, Mar 2025
Our small group tour turned into a private tour, that happens sometimes when you use a small local tour company during the shoulder season. We were there in mid-March. Pros and cons to this free upgrade. Your time/schedule/stops become flexible and efficient. But you’re also solely responsible for reasonably tipping the driver and guide. For the tour itself, we visited 4 sites: the catacombs; the amphitheater; the library; and the castle. If you have the flexibility, pick a day/time when the first 3 are open. The castle I’d say it’s optional but you’re there already, why not. Each of the first 3 are really amazing in their own right. When you visit the amphitheater, be sure to step on the echo pedestal in front of the audience and sing (or just say) something. We chose the all inclusive option. If you added up all the entrance fees (if all 4 are open) and cost for lunch, you’re about even. If you have other considerations like many children who get bored easily and/or don’t eat much, then you need to take those factors into consideration. We thought our choice met our need well. The trip to/from Alexandria. If this is your first time on a driven trip in Egypt, brace yourself. Better yet, try to catch up on your sleep for the ~3-hour trip to and from. The only thing you’d miss is mad-max style driving (think of the skill required) and all the stress from seeing it behind the driver. Happy travels.

A tour specifically designed for those who love history and culture! - with Eslam

ImenMyren_H, Mar 2025
Amazing history tour with Eslam!!! The company in itself was responsive and helpful with any question 24/7, they were very flexible and made sure everything was prepared in detail. We’ve tried different guided tours but this one was the one we liked the most. We were free to explore and Eslam always had an answer for every question. It was very nice having a guide we could easily communicate with and that knew so much in detail about each stop we had. One thing is having a charismatic guide but also having one that is educated within history and all the things you wish wish for in a trip was the best! Fair prices and great food to end the day with. The driver picked us up at our hotel in Giza and drove us to get food during our 2-3 hour drive. He was also very kind and attentive. All in all 10/10 day We started quite early so it’s good to bring a jacket for the early morning

A day in Alexandria

Rafe_Y, Feb 2025
Hesham my driver took me on time, so we started our journey to Alexandria. Before I was led by the Egyptologist Naelah, Hesham bought me a Falafel Sandwich, which was delicious. Naelah took me to several historic sights with the Library as the highlight. She was very knowledgeable and pleased to answer my questions. We went to a restaurant to have lunch on time. They were really considerate to fulfill my nutritional demands. All in all a nice experience with a lot of things to see. Hesham took me to the airport as well, so perfectly suited for a last day in Egypt.

A wonderful day in Alexandre

Shaowen_L, Jan 2025
This is a very interesting tour. The Catacomh underground graveyard is such a unique site, the waterfront is beautiful and the world second largest library is fascinating. My guide Eslam is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly and I enjoy his explanations and presentations. Hesham Ahmed, my driver, is an impressive driver, safe and fast and super attentive.

A PERFECT TRIP TO ALEXANDRIA

Frietzie_A, Jul 2024
Adhoc booking: We made the reservation 10 hours prior to our departure at the last minute. Our driver, Omar, picked us up at our hotel, made the trip really easy, and arrived in Alexandria early. He even went above and beyond by providing us with Turkish coffee. Our tour guide, Eslam, was a laid-back guy who was well-versed in the history of Alexandria. He took us to the nicest restaurant, Market Fish, which serves fresh fish and delicious calamares, and was so kind to offer to treat us to some of Alexandria's delicacies. Eslam helped us go to the bank for currency change and even paid for our cigarettes as we didn't have enough Egyptian pound. My favorite part of the trip was the Catacombs; if you book this tour, be sure to include these two highly recommended 👌 pure kindness.
