The tour was excellent. The guide was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to give us some historical perspectives regarding the different sites we were visiting in Bruge. The bus was very luxurious and comfortable. We had plenty of free time to shop or explore on our own.

The tour guide communicated with us the whole time. It was easy to locate the group tour.
They divided us into 3 groups.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable of the place and history.

This was a good tour and the guide took care for our needs, my wife uses a walker. The only drawback for us was it was a lot of walking to the city and then back to the bus.

The excursion was great, beautiful city. Would definately recommend. Our major issue was it was disorganized, our names were not on the list, gave me alot of stress dealing with where to go and what to do since nobody could help us. Group leaders finally got us on, due to us having the verification. They were fabulous at that point and they had to pay for a taxi for a few of us as the busses were full. AGAIN. EXCURSION IN BRUGES WAS AMAZING

We got off the ship and we couldn’t find our tour operator. We asked several local tour operators and they didn’t know anything about our tour. We specifically spoke to a woman that was holding a sign to our destination, but she told us we weren’t part of her tour and didn’t know who was operating our tour. Tried calling the Tour Operator and it was a long distance number in some other country and got voicemail on some unknown language. Tried getting ahold of Viator and couldn’t get thru to anyone, so it was/an extremely frustrating experience. No customer service whatsoever. After about an hour, the woman we previously spoke to approached us and she finally found out names at the very top of her list. There was also total confusion and chaos with the other passengers trying to find the tour operator. So we left the port over an hour late. The woman was very nice and apologized profusely to everyone. Once we got to Brugge things smoothed out and went well throughout the city tour. At the end of the tour several people were missing so that caused problems again. The sights were great and would highly recommend touring Brugge. The tour was disorganized and disjointed.

1. Board the free port shuttle right at the pier.
2. Take a short ride to the port gate.
3. Look for the big J. A. T. signs held by our representatives right outside the port gate.

Our guide Dimitra Maragkaki was absolutely amazing, very prompt starting from the day before the tour, during the whole tour including the bus ride and walking tour. She was very helpful full of information, very knowledgeable and friendly and considerate. She was constantly looking for our safety, make sure the slower walker is always catching up. A wonderful pleasant experience.

completely UNorganized. Due to the lack of organization we lost at least an hour and a half because they couldn't find the correct lists and assign the hearing devices. Ended up without a device and we couldn't see as much as we wanted because of waiting time while they were figuring out.

The waiting time was caused by your ship docking 40 minutes late, while the cruise line did not extend the total duration of your stay in port. This reduced the time available for our tour and unfortunately caused some rush.
You may wish to address this concern directly with your cruise line.
Please note that waiting for you beyond the scheduled tour start time was a gesture of goodwill on our part. If we continue receiving negative feedback after going the extra mile for delayed guests, we may need to reconsider this practice. In the future, we may depart exactly at the time stated on the tour ticket.

The tour company was located right outside the cruise terminal. Easy walk. Our tour guide Frank was very knowledgeable about the area. Once inside the market square we were allowed to go off and explore on our own.
I would have given this a 5 star but Frank walked way to fast for a few of us senior people. At one point I was yelling for Frank. He never turned around during the tour to see if the group was together. There was an elderly man behind me who was having trouble keeping up. Then a lady from our group came forward and kept Frank on task to allow the elderly man to catch up.

I picked this tour because it was cheaper than the one the cruise offered. Also, it was guaranteed to get us back to the cruise on time. It was supposed to start by 9 AM, but it was delayed slightly. We boarded the bus and were passed off to another tour guide once we arrived in Bruges.
Our guide was friendly, but seemed overwhelmed at times. We had some very entitled tourists in our group who were very demanding, and I don't think he knew quite how to handle them. I honestly feel like I didn't learn too much on this tour. He walked very fast and sometimes made it seem like he was leaving us in the dust. Honestly, the best part of the tour was when he let us go off on our own in the market square.

First of all i always chose Viator when traveling because thay have best tours and service. This time in a cruise i had best affordable options but i oreferred to pay 120 EUR instead of 60 EUR cruise, because Viator is better. I was traveling in a MSC Cruise. We had a rough day at high sea but the next day when we arrived to Rotterdam weather was fine. I had seen that storms were expected but i trusted Viator to cancel a 6 hours walking tour if weather was not suitable. At 5:50 pm captain informed us that due to severe conditions dhip was not going to stop in Zeebrugge. I imediattly called Viator both guide, US services and using chat channel informing that we could not take exvursion. 16 hoirs before. I got the message that the 300 EUR were not beeing refunded as 16 hours was less than 24 h notice and cruise changes were not covered. I think this was mean, we understand the terms but we did what was possible and most of all it was a matter of saphety. Did the tour either boat included took place if it was not safe? Are you keeping our 300 hundred EUR and lose a limg kasting customer. Shame on you. You just took profit of what you know beeing unexpected and out of control situations. Dont take Viator. They were not honest. And they asked us for our opinion in this tour!!! Teasing us!

The taxi driver to Bruge was a terrible driver almost getting in an accident by not looking.
The walking tour was slow and repetitive and we did not get to see any museums. Guide was average. I would not recommend that Viator use this company again- they can find better options.

Are you sure your review was posted to the correct business? It’s possible that the ports or tours were mixed up — which can happen easily when cruisers are visiting many destinations day after day.

One of the prettiest cities in Europe. Gorgeous architecture and lots to see. I had a Belgian waffle for lunch, bought great chocolate and handmade lace. Our guide, Charmaine, was amazing!

Knowledgeable guide provided insights on this amazing medieval city. We enjoyed the boat tour as well as the walking tour. Wear good walking shoes and enjoy the chocolate! I recommend chocolino, just off the belfry square

Tour had a lot of walking and we were with an elderly person and they could barely keep up. The tour guide did not speak English well and offered very little useful information. We had very little time to embrace the sights. When we arrived at the canal, the tour guide and canal operator had a huge fight and we had to wait 20 minutes after the tour was in limbo. It was the worst tour I have ever taken.

We regret to hear that our tour did not meet your expectations. To avoid discomfort for elderly participants, we strongly recommend reading the tour description carefully before booking. It clearly states that the tour includes approximately 2 hours of walking through the pedestrian areas of the city.
Gabriel is a fully licensed guide, fluent in both English and French, with 16 years of experience leading tours. The “huge fight” and wait you mentioned were not reported by anyone else in the group.
According to your guide, the main source of dissatisfaction appeared to be the very limited walking ability of your family member, who unfortunately was unable to keep pace with the group and was often left behind.
When booking future tours through Viator, we strongly recommend reviewing the tour descriptions in detail and basing expectations accordingly. Safe travels

Operator had ripped us off of what we paid. In case of force majeur and bad weather and ship wasn't able to dock. No passengers to tour around. They won't refund.

Your refund request has been declined in full accordance with our 24-hour cancellation policy. We recommend addressing your claim directly with your cruise line, as your ship was the only one to cancel its call to Zeebrugge at the last minute on June 23, for reasons unknown to us. Other cruise ships had no issues docking, and their passengers joined the tour without difficulty. Wishing you safe travels

Rip Off Not 1 but two dead batteries on head sets. Guide didn't care. Wanted us to pay extra 30 Euros on top of $250 original change. So we had to wait on dock for tour to come back.

• Your headset was replaced within a minute of reporting the issue, so we’re surprised to hear it described as a “rip-off” or that the guide didn’t care — since our guides always carry spare headsets
• The optional lunch during free time was offered to the group, and the majority chose to participate at an additional cost of €15 per person, paid directly to the restaurant. There was absolutely no pressure to join, and certainly no intention to mislead anyone.
• Lunch has never been included in this tour, as clearly stated in the tour description. We kindly encourage you to review the inclusions of this tour on Viator website.

The overall tour was great. However; she never told us her name and she was distracted early on because there were two late people that never showed. So distracted that she talked with the taxi driver the whole time into town. When we asked a question she said she would tell us in town. She never did. Overall it was a fun beautiful day. Also the tour was an entire walking tour and I don’t think people who signed up for the tour understood that.
