It was a hot day in Brugge and water and beer was plentiful! We loved trying Belgium beers and hearing about their history. We learned a lot about Belgium too! The waffles were fun and easy to make and delicious! This was such a fun part of our day! Highly recommend!

This was such a fun experience! Luc was a kind and knowledgeable instructor. We learned a lot about making waffles and also different kinds of beer and why they were important to Belgium. It was so fun, and also delicious. Cannot recommend this enough!

Waffles and Beer in Belgium - Why Wouldn't You do this?

I did this experience with my wife and 14 year old son. We all thought it was amazing. We have recently begun taking cooking classes on Viator when we travel, and I thought this was amongst the best I have participated in. You begin with a nice tasting of Belgian beers. Dad happy! Then you make belgian waffles. Mom happy! And my son enjoyed it as well. I took pictures and ate the waffles. So delicious! Our instructor was excellent and very personable. There was a group of young Dutch women also, and they mainly conversed in dutch, but I thought he did a nice job in interpreting what they asked and his response. Unnecessary, but went the extra mile.

We had a great time making waffles! The four of us ended up in a small class of only 7 people total. Our host had interesting stories about the beer we sampled and explained the different types of waffles. This class was recommended to us by friends who had lived in the Netherlands and taken the class before.

We had such a great time making waffles and drinking beer! This workshop is well laid out, and expertly run. The gal who ran this (sorry, I forgot her name) was enjoyable to talk with, very funny and extremely friendly. I would highly recommend this activity to anyone looking for a fun activity in Bruges!

What a fun beginning to our visit! A history of beers with Bram, good company and beer tasting. A few successful waffles (great variety of toppings to chhose from) at the end of the evening (washed down with more tasty beer) made it a great introduction to Brugges.

What fun! Brecht was a great host with fun facts about Belgian Beers and the borders in Belgium. It was wonderful to learn about and taste several beers including Cherry and Peach beers! Followed by a sweet treat of waffles under the able supervision of Brecht. We made more than we could eat! We certainly left happy 😊

This session was a great experience for everyone in our group. We had a good time laughing as my husband had very little cooking experience. We sampled 3 different beers from Belgium and then used one in the waffle recipe. Waffles surprisingly turned out good (even with some eggshells!!).
