I enjoyed the location of this tour very much! They picked up and stopped off at the ship very timely!! This was appreciated. We had plenty of time to have lunch and explore on our own after the walking tour guide concluded. There is quite a bit of walking in uneven cobblestone surfaces, be aure to wear proper shoes. If canal tour is a available - do it!

Christa was a first class guide, very knowledgeable and professional. The tour description did not explicitly state it was entirely on foot after transfer from the port. Two of the 8 people in the group had mobility issues and it was inconvenient for them. Ok if your fit and able.

Rocky start in Brugge

The beginning was rough. We were not on the list even though we had several confirmation texts and an eticket. After extreme confusion and the help of several people, it was confirmed that we would be part of the tour. However, there was no room on the bus. We ended up getting another transfer, but the tour was supposed to start at 9 and we didn’t leave the ship terminal until after 10. The good news is that Mary, our guide, and her assistant were wonderful. Kind, knowledgeable, and professional. Mary managed to get us to all of the places of interest. Sadly, we waited so long for our boat ride, we had very limited free time which was disappointing.

To avoid any issues during pickup, we simply recommend keeping a screenshot of your tour tickets, especially when booking the tour the previous night. Please note that we reserve 30 minutes to collect cruise passengers at the port, and the transfer from Zeebrugge to Bruges takes approximately another 30 minutes. Therefore, when you receive a 9:00 a.m. pickup time at the Zeebrugge cruise port, you should not expect the tour in Bruges to begin before 10:00 a.m. Please also note that the full tour duration was delivered as advertised. Regarding the boats, there is usually a line to board them, just as there may be a line to board a cruise ship or airplane unless you have booked business or first class. We also offer private tours; however, please note that they cost approximately four times more than shared tours. Safe travels!

The chaos and confusion...

The chaos and confusion at the meeting point were very concerning but once we got started Charlene was an excellent guide. We enjoyed our time with her and revised our initial impression. She was knowledgeable and very personable.

As we'd experienced before, operational organization was chaotic. Our tour agents were not where we had been told. A Viator desk couldn't help us as they were only selling shuttle tickets. An agent for a different company cold shouldered us. We eventually found we'd again been farmed out to another company. Though the itinerary did not specify it, this was a "walking tour" & definitely not suitable for wheelchairs, scooters & those with mobility issues though the guides handled these problems by transfers to taxis or adjusting their route. Our guide (Sharlene) was brilliant. Despite her age, she was brisk, knowledgeable & clearly spoken. As a local, she had her own series of stories about Bruges, told with wit & passion.

Walking through this most beautiful city was magical. Our tour guide Godfried (friend of God) was kind, very knowledgeable (he was born and raised) and oh so very sweet and patient with so many people with different levels of mobility.

Can’t hear

Loved the walking tour and the amount of free time allotted. Guide was very knowledgeable but could not hear half of what was said. Equipment was poor and Theo would not keep mike close to his mouth. Was asked several times to move mike so group could hear.
