Great overview of the city and its history. Fun, funny and interesting tour. The two hours flew by for us!

I highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Alistair, is a dyed in the wool storyteller (perhaps due to his Scottish roots) with a great sense of humour. Apart from the Belfry bells seemingly getting stuck in the on position for a cartoonishly long time and Alistair having to battle to talk over them, I found the tour to be very insightful, full of interesting history and humourous tidbits. This tour is definitely worth your time. Side note: if you're looking for the guide during a busy day in the square, look for the bright yellow shirt and umbrella.

Ray did a great job! We really enjoyed learning about the community and the history of Bruges. He was very personable, funny, and knowledgeable. He even showed us the 2026 top chocolate shops. Thank you!

Was a bit iffy about Bruges with all the Easter tourists and the carnival in the center of the Markt. We had already loved Brussels and Ghent. Then we had our city tour with Gosha- she changed my view - her knowledge and enthusiasm made me love Bruge as much as the other cities!! Her recommendations also were awesome!!

Our tour guide Alasdair was incredible! He delivered every story with style and humour, and we found every element of the tour to be absolutely fascinating. Highly recommended!

Truly is a great thing to do on your first day to get the basics and layout of the important places to return to. Our guide, Pascal, was informative, entertaining, and had great energy. He was very knowledgeable and brought the history of Bruges to life.

Steve had a lot of Bruges history for us and he made it fun. He obviously loves his city. He had lots of suggestions for us and he tried to keep us warm as the weather was not great.

This was a really great experience. Our guide, Arthur, was very entertaining, knowledgeable and had a great voice that carried clearly across the group. He set the context of how this beautiful city is so well preserved, so interesting and such a great place to travel in Europe. Love his sense of humour - a great showman! Thank you, Arthur! Highly recommend.

One of the best tours we had on our trip. The guide was very knowledgeable, and was delivering all that info in a such a easy to digest and funny manner that you didn't want for the tour to be over. Definitely recommend!

This was the best introduction to Bruges. Paschal captivated us with the history and stories, our first time booking a tour - would highly recommend!! Paschal is brilliant at what he does, from age 12 to 55, we all loved it.
Ricardo_A, Dec 2025

Eunice_W, Dec 2025
We couldn’t find the guide anywhere in the area we were told to be. I then phoned but no one answered my call. Very frustrating - grrrrr
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Sorry to hear how frustrating this experience was. According to our records, we did not receive any missed phone calls or WhatsApp messages around the tour start time. The instructions on Viator clearly explain where to meet the guide — on the Market Square, in front of the Belfry Tower, and how to recognize them by the yellow umbrellas, a few minutes before the tour begins.
That said, we understand how disappointing it is if you still couldn’t find each other, and we’re sorry this caused frustration. We continuously try to make our meeting instructions as clear as possible to avoid situations like this.
Brian_G, Dec 2025
Very enjoyable 2 hour tour of the main attractions of the city. Our guide was informative and shared the history of the city. He also added a few stops where we were given samples of chocolate and waffles. We had a great time.
Joan_H, Nov 2025
A very energetic, performance-heavy account of local history. Thijs, our guide, was entertaining and knowledgeable about many interesting aspects of the city’s history. The tour was fun.
Jesse_B, Nov 2025
We booked through Viator for a tour of Bruges with Ambassadors Tours with Pascal - and were so happy we did. Meeting Pascal at the main square with his yellow umbrella - he was fun from the start. A historian that made the stories of Bruges memorable - lots of laughs and a personal feel. My husband and I were with one other couple. Pascal’s English was easy to understand, his walking pace was comfortable and his information was so extremely interesting that those not on our tour wanted to join to overhear what he had to say. The 2 1/2 hour tour ended at a brewery with light conversation and lots of time for questions. We tipped well for the two of us - Pascal was well worth it.
Allen_T, Nov 2025
Our first time to visit Bruges and this was a wonderful way to see the city and learn the history. Our Tour Guide was AMAZING! Highly recommend this tour!
Janet_A, Nov 2025
What a worthwhile, fun and enjoyable tour! Arthur provided so much history and context to Bruges along with humor and useful information that I’ve already appreciated during my stay in Bruges. Whether you are in Bruges for a day or many more, take advantage of this incredible opportunity! I loved it!
