This was a fantastic experience and one of our favorite memories in Italy. Monia was so kind and funny, the workspace was pleasant, spotless, and professionally set up, and the gelato treats we made were delicious! We learned much more than we expected about the interaction of the ingredients and what was important to get the best results. Thank you to Monia for a wonderful time.

Gelato x 4 - fun and tasty

We attended the course with our 15 year old, all of us really enjoyed the class. We all took part in weighing out ingredients which were then all combined into one mix for the whole class of 12. There were 4 recipes, all of which were very nice, but the chocolate one was the winner with most people in the class. Would recommend this class to anybody. Wish we had more time in Bologna to experience the pasta making class too

I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Bologna. First of all, we were so grateful to be in the air-conditioned kitchen on a brutally hot day when air conditioning is not easy to come by in Italy. I read other reviews that said it was less of a hands-on class and more of a demonstration and I would agree. It was a lesson/demonstration during which, each participant got to do 2 tasks to help make the gelato. It was a group effort and at the end we were able to taste 4 different flavors with delectable toppings. The instructors were great teachers and the kitchen was bright and clean. Just a tip, the mall (which seemed empty at the time) is across from the parking garage in case you have trouble finding it like we did. Oh and you can have a meal at "Trattoria da me nella torre" before the class because it's only a few minutes walk away. Thank you ladies for a lovely afternoon!

Wonderful gelato making class, with 3 varieties of gelato plus a sorbet. My daughter and I were the only people in the class so they allowed my husband to join once the gelato was ready and we all got to taste. Yoghurt with the smoked salt, and chocolate with the cherries were my absolute favourites

If you love gelato this is for you. We had a group of four people so it was easy to hear and understand the steps of the recipes. Each of us had the chance to make three different types of gelato. The recipes were easy to understand, used simple and easy to find ingredients, and the instructor was very knowledgeable. Plus you get to eat the lesson at the end. On the day we were there, we made pistachio, pear sorbetto (sorbet), and fiore di latte (Italian vanilla) with our choice of mix ins. I recommend the amarena cherries and balsamic vinegar. Though there is no wrong answer with the mix ins. The ingredients will change based on the season as the instructor picks up whatever is freshest. The location is a little difficult to find as it is inside a small mall. The door is hidden away in the corner. You can see the kitchen clearly through the windows from the corner of the mall from the outside. The outside is near a small piazza with some trees and benches. If you arrive too early (we did) you can people watch from the benches. All in all it was a truly delightful experience.

This was so much fun. 2 adults and 2 10 year olds and we all enjoyed ourselves. We made 3 gelatos and one sorbet, and they all came out great. We not only completed the process, but we also learned what really matters in order to get delicious results. I highly recommend this experience.
