Our guide, Vlad, was outstanding! He knew everything there was to know about Bergen. He knew so many things about the town he had spent decades in. He was enthusiastic and helpful. When we chose to go on the funicular, he actually went in with us, helped us figure out how to get an electronic ticket, and made sure we were in the right place at the right time. He also told us what we would be looking at and where we should focus. I could not recommend Vlad more highly.

Vlad was an excellent tour guide!! He begins by asking what are your interests, then he adds some idea, flexible planning, he was on time, very knowledgeable, spoke great English, very safe driver, we saw every part of the city. Totally enjoyable tour and a great value for the money!!! Highly recommend!!

We were collected at the pier, and from the moment we got in the car, our tour guide started to tell us about Bergin, explaining the history and showing us landmarks.
He was cheerful and made the visit so worthwhile.
We use Viator for all tours and usually find that they have great tour guides.
I strongly recommend them!

We booked a six-hour private tour in Bergen, Norway with JANDIS AS on May 23, and had the pleasure of being guided by Vlad, the owner and operator of the company.
From the moment we met Vlad, it was clear he has a genuine passion for guiding and sharing Norwegian history and culture. His enthusiasm is contagious, and his deep knowledge of western Norway made the entire experience unforgettable. Tours can be fully customized—either curated by Vlad or tailored to your interests and preferences.
Our journey began at Gamlehaugen, the Royal Castle, where we enjoyed a walk through the scenic grounds. Next, we visited the Edvard Grieg Museum, where Vlad gave an engaging and insightful tour of the composer’s life and work. From there, we ventured beyond Bergen to explore majestic waterfalls and breathtaking natural sites. We wrapped up the day at the Bergen Fish Market and the area surrounding the Fløibanen funicular, soaking in the lively atmosphere and beautiful views.
Vlad provided snacks, bottled water, and soda for everyone, and the minibus was brand new and fully equipped with the latest technology. Throughout the trip, he entertained us with bits of Norwegian humor and taught us about the famous “Five F’s” of Norway: Fjell (mountain), Fjord (far), Foss (waterfall), Fonn (glacier), and Fisk (fish).
Vlad truly went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. We highly recommend him and JANDIS AS for anyone looking to explore Norway. By the end of the tour, we didn’t just say goodbye to a guide—we said goodbye to a friend who felt like family.

This was a wonderful tour in a magnificent city with a world-class tour guide. No question, Bergen is a magical city and Vlad, our tour guide, made it even more spectacular. Our family has a special interest in Grieg. Vlad jumped right on this and seemed to tailor the tour especially to our interests. Vlad is extremely personable and his love for Bergen is infectious. His years of experience was most evident with his vast knowledge of the locale. Not only did we have a very in depth guiding of important Grieg sites, during which Vlad offered incredible historical insights, but we had a great overview of Bergen. We then segued from this tour to a nice personal exploration of the city.
We hope to visit Bergen again, at some time. But most importantly we will encourage other family members to enlist Vlad for a tour when they are fortunate enough to visit this beautiful city.

Our tour guide, Jandis, was very knowledgeable of the history of Bergen/Norway and showed us a variety of interesting areas in Bergen. and, even outside the city. I have mobility problems and Jandis was most considerate of this and made adjustments for this. I recommend this tour if you want to have a great city tour.

My husband and I booked this private tour and was so glad we did! It was so much better than a typical group tour, which often seems superficial and "canned". Our tour guide, Vlad, was incredible. He was personable and knowledgeable and provided us with a fabulous, unique, and memorable experience. He is like a walking encyclopedia of information and was totally engaging. We were enjoying our tour so much, we requested an additional hour and was so happy he had the time to accommodate us. We got to see the Brygga (harbor area), the Folk/History outdoor museum, the Grieg House and Museum, the Stave Church, and much more. Obviously, a private tour costs more than a large group tour, but it is well worth it. Thank you Vlad - we enjoyed spending a fun and interesting day with you and gained such a great appreciation for Bergen!

My family and me decided to take a 3-hour tour around Bergen as we have another day before going back home to Hong Kong. We were greeted by our tour guide, Vlad, in the hotel lobby at our requested time. He quickly helped us devise a travel plan around the city that best fit our demands as we had no idea where we should go. We then got on board his nicely furnished 7-seater with a bottle of complementary water for all of us. Vlad showed us around the city proper and then to Troldhaugen, where the famous composer Edvard Grieg once lived, and through the mountains to see the city landscape. Vlad definitely knows his stuff since he has lived in Bergen for many years and his English is very good. He was also very friendly in helping us to take nice photos and answering our questions. At the end we went a bit over the 3-hour period but Vlad was okay with that. Bergen is a lovely city with many great sights to see and we are very grateful that we had Vlad showing us around.

We are party of 3, 3 adults with elderly.
Very exciting driving tour. Got to know Bergen in detail in 3 hr with private car, then after finish tour at 1 pm , we went to have lunch then Bruggen and mount floyen funicular ourselves as recommended by guide, Jana. I first decided to join this tour for my 80 year old mother, still walk on her own without walker, but I think I did enjoy tour myself. Bergen is surrounded by mountains and fjord, must see the view from the top from different directions. Beautiful houses.
