Itinerary
Start your day with convenient pickup from your Bergen hotel or cruise port, then set off in a private vehicle with a flexible itinerary tailored to your interests. Traveling along the E16, pass through the village of Dale and the town of Voss before stopping at Tvindefossen waterfall for photos and a short break.
Continue to the Stalheim Hotel terrace for views over the UNESCO-listed Nærøydalen Valley, then descend the steep Stalheimskleiva Road (May–September) to the historic village of Gudvangen. From here, choose to cruise through the Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord toward Flåm by ferry, motor yacht, or RIB boat (if option selected).
In Flåm, enjoy free time for lunch (own expense) and independent exploration before driving to the Stegastein viewpoint (seasonal). If selected, ride the Flåm Railway to Myrdal, stopping at Kjøsfossen waterfall, then continue by train to Voss before returning to Bergen by car.

Aleks was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable, charismatic and fun. If we ever come back, we will ask for him to be our guide again (assuming that's possible!)
The trip itself is long (full day) but absolutely beautiful and breath taking. Protip: consider eating on the boat because places to stop are few.

Ivan was our guide and he made the trip a 5star excursion. Book this excursion but be careful on Geirangerfjord private excursion(taxi driver as guide).

Flam railway and the natural beauty of the Fjords. Our guide was a wonderful person but all he did was drive us. He's not from the area and thus wasn't able to be a knowledgeable guide. We spent $1700(!) But could have done better by doing it on our own!

Nothing about this tour was private except the car ride. We were given little information before the tour about the details and ended up in the car for 5 hours, on a train, and on a packed ferry in the fjords. At this price point, we were expecting at least a private boat ride in the fjords. The driver was kind but overall a frustrating experience. I will be contacting the tour operators for a refund.

We are very sorry that you haven't read the tour description & what to expect, where it's clearly said that the tour is done via Flam Railway and a passenger ferry boat (motor yacht, or RIB are available on request and additional price). We haven't got any request for the rib boat or motor jacht from you, so we have provided you with the private driver/guide, a private vehicle, Flamsbana Railway train access and Sognefjord cruise access on the silent-motor ferry boat.

We had a full day of travel to the sognefjord boat ride and flåm train. Ivan was our tour guide and was so great. Informative, great driver and always around if we needed him. It was the easiest most enjoying day of travel we have had. Amazing!!!

This tour was amazing. Just realize that you do have a driver that will pick you up, but will drop you off at the different venues then pick you up when you reach your different destination's.

Nice electric boat ride for 2 hours in the Fjords and two 50 minute train rides in the snowy mountains were lovely - but at £1800 plus for four people it seemed way overpriced - our guide Matt wasn't very talkative - not what you expect from a tour guide - he was pretty much a glorified driver.

We try to make each and every one of our tours in a way custom made by adjusting nuances to the needs and wants of our customers, but it seems that we didn't succeed this time.
Regarding the price of the tour - it includes tickets to services like boat ride, train, and car expenses (toll roads, gasoline, driver's man hours, etc.) all of these services are rather pricey in Norway. We will most certainly take your opinion into consideration to improve our services in the future.

Our tour guide failed to adequately explain anything about the place, etc. It was just a ride from Bergen to board the ship, then picked us up at the end of the train ride to take us back to the hotel. No added info . Definitely below expectations

Our guide only acted as transfer companion . He didnt give any information like a guide normally does. Plus He was supposed to take us to the hotel stalheim to see the valley but we only passed it . Not happy with his service at all .

Enjoyed our tour and were able to see all the main sights thanks to a hassle free tour with our guide Frode. He had a lot of information to share and was very helpful. Having him to drive us around saved a lot of time. Highly recommended

We booked this tour because we wanted a private tour to the Dale of Norway Factory and this seemed to be the best way to get there. And it was a perfect day! Our guide, Ray, showed up exactly on time in an extremely comfortable Mercedes Motor Coach. He was great!! Not only was he an excellent driver and tour guide, but he was willing to take us to the Factory and wait patiently while we spent over an hour shopping. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a private tour!!

The trip was excellent from start to end. The pick up was on time and the everywhere we were driven safely and in timely manner. Matt was good at communicating and passed us good information about the various places we visited. The places were awesome and my family enjoyed it thoroughly!

Our driver/guide, vehicles including the ferry and the sites were all amazing! It was a good idea the we did the tour the other way around, we started with the train to Flam then the cruise to Gudvangen. It seemed like we avoided the usual crowd. :)

We were looking at Norway in a Nutshell and realized that it was basically a bunch of public transit tickets lined together. That in itself is fine but we also has visions of moving in a big pack of people which we were not that keen about. This tour work out to be about $250 more for three people and we all agreed that it was worth every penny. Raivis was our guide and was always on top of things. He also has a good sense of humor and was able to banter with three 50 somethings despite being half our age. Pick up was on time in a comfortable Mercedes van. Raivis kept us on time which was important the first half of the day as you have a boat and a train to catch. The stops are as outlined in the tour info. We were escorted up to the entrance of the boat and Raivis met us on arrival at Voss, spent some time with us at lunch, made sure we got to the train in time to get the best seats and told us where to sit for the best views. This is the easiest way to do this trip. They show you the highlights, keep you on schedule and book all of the tickets in advance. All you have to do is pay and show up. I got the impression that Raivis would have taken us around for another hour or so upon arrival in Voss. We chose to go back to Bergen as we had a full day and were back at the hotel by 6:15 pm. Keep in mind that the minimum number of people they will do this tour for is three and the per person price gets a bit cheaper the more people on it. Recommended.

Our family had an amazing day w/our guide Igor. He had an incredible depth of knowledge of the area including history, geopolitics, economy, folklore, etc. No question we had went unanswered. Day was flexible with lots of time in the car but scenery was breathtaking. Fjord cruise was the highlight! Train ride was lovely. Would highly recommend. Of note- we had our 4 children along (ages 9,12,14,15)

My tour guide, Bjorn, was beyond excellent. From the moment he picked me up, he even prepare some motion sickness remedy for me. And then right before my train ride, he bought me a local lunch to enjoy during the ride :-
Not only that he is a local bergen, he is also well knowledge about all of the local stuff. What I like him about the most is his energy and his personality. I learned a lot about bergen, fjord, culture, history in one day, he really make sure that he fit a lot of sight seeing in one day
He happened to be a very talented photographer, he took some of my pictures during this trip, and as a courtesy, he actually email Them to me :-. What an amazing picture.
I am so thankful that I found this trip and Got bjorn as my guide. It's definitely worth every penny.

Fabulous day tour ! We found our personal guide Bjorne, to offer great insights and history to our 1st visit to the fjords of Norway. The only glitch was some communication with Viator with confirming and understanding the day's itinerary.

We took this tour as an alternative to Norway in a Nutshell. We enjoyed the more private and individualized experience, as well as the added stops along the way Tvindefossen waterfall and UNESCO site at the Stalheim hotel. We were picked up on time and our tour guide was timely and dependable at each and every stop. Everything was organized in advance, which made it all nice and easy for us. Our guide was very nice. A few things to mention: the description makes it seem like lunch in organized at a specific place it is not, you eat on your own in Flåm and it also makes it sound like the cruise around the fjords is included it is not - it is 70 euros additional - although expensive on top of the tour itself, it was the highlight.

This was the absolute best tour. you could ever take. Our guide, Raivis, was truly amazing! Ask for him if you book this tour! He felt like a part of the family. He picked us up at the hotel, drove us to Gudvangen, via Hotel Stalheim a must see for views where we took the ferry to Flam and then met us. Taking the ferry, even though it cost extra was a must do, it had the most beautiful views. We had lunch told us to get a beer at the bryggerie and then since we had some time before the train to Myrdahl, we went up a very curvy road into the mountains for the most fantastic view of Naeroyafjord. We took the train to Myrdahl, saw wonderful waterfalls...there is a surprise at the most stunning of them and then took the train to Voss. He met us there and we took in another waterfall TLC--forget the song Don't go chasing waterfalls, which was amazing. We all thought this made the trip to Bergen. Also make sure you take the train either from Oslo to Bergen roundtrip or one-way. You will be totally amazed by the views. Raivis was the best tour guide!

Bergen is a very beautiful country. I would definitely recommend people to go. Our tour guide/driver, Mr Ivan, was indeed a very obliging, honest and helpful man. Thank Jesus that He has blessed us a fantastic guide throughout our whole trip. He is so far the best guide that I have ever met during all my holidays. Highly recommend him to everyone. This is my true and honest comment. He did not pay me to write it.

Ivan was a fantastic guide. If you only have one or two days in the Bergen area, this is a great way to see a lot in a short amount of time. The views in Gudvangen were unbelievable and the train from Flåm was a very special experience. Would definitely recommend.

Nice tour with wonderful sights, however be forewarned when booking this trip! After booking you receive an email confirmation stating that if you want to do the boat ride portion of the trip there is an additional fee, though it clearly states that it is part of the overall itinerary. In addition the last leg of the journey was supposed to be a train ride back to Voss and instead, it was just a very long car ride.

Ellos no nos llevaron al ferry a tiempo, luego fuimos a otra ciudad pero el ferry no tenía parada allí, perdimos mucho tiempo de un lado a otro y nunca pudimos tomar el ferry que para nosotros era lo más importante de la experiencia, aunque el conductor fue muy amable, agradable compañía y guía, no pudimos disfrutar la experiencia, además aseguró que nos devolverían el dinero pero nunca se contactaron. Esperábamos en nuestro día poder disfrutar de la tranquilidad de un tour privado pero realmente no estuvo organizado y eso hizo que gastáramos nuestro único día en Bergen sin poder disfrutar lo que queríamos

Thank you for sharing your opinion! The pick-up was set to 06:30 due to your request to end the tour at before 17:00 (since you had the flight that evening). We had to adjust the itinerary for your need, and according to the information from the guide, you left the hotel at 07:45 only, causing you the getting late for the train and the boat. We had to adjust the itinerary on the way, so you could catch all the promised activities. Also, we provided you with a Spanish-speaking guide, however, our tour is English based.
