This was an amazing tour of the Highlights of Barcelona (excluding Sagrada Família which we did separately). Our tour guide Jenny was excellent and managed to share her commentary between 2 vans. They were also very flexible in terms of timing and pickup. Made our Barcelona trip even more special.

Beatriz, you booked a tour with pick up at Barcelona port, and your ship docked in Tarragona instead, which is a city at one and a half hours driving from Barcelona. The driver went to the port at the right time, and your ship was not there. I think that it is not our fault, and it is not fair to write a bad review for us.
Maybe you could claim to the cruise ship line, if they changed the port of docking.

Imran was an excellent driver, very accommodating to our speed and limitations. He pointed out many highlights and we made all the stops that the guided tour made. We really wanted to stop at a tapas restaurant and enjoy some sangria while in Spain. Perfect choice. Never felt rushed. We enjoyed our private tour and highly recommend it. Love Barcelona.

The tour is advertised as 4 to 6 hours. Ours started at 10:00AM and ended precisely at 2:00PM. It was on a busy Sunday. There was a 10k run and the Olympic Stadium was closed due to a match. The driver, who was excellent, got to us at 10:00 but we had a 15-minute walk to his car because of parking/street disruptions caused by the 10k run. Traffic was heavy wherever we went. What we saw was great, but we did not see many of the items listed on the tour. The most disappointing part of the tour was that we never made it to Sagrada Família. We only got photos from afar. We would not recommend this tour.

Dear Paul, I am so sorry for your bad experience in Barcelona.
As you said, that Sunday was a busy day, as there was a 10k run in the city and a match at the Olympic Stadium, both events affected the traffic in those areas of the city. So please consider that these events were out of our control, and the driver tried to do his best.
Moreover, we offer tours of 4 hours and 6 hours, and you booked the 4 hour tour, so please check it.
We are sorry to get such a bad review, and will try to do it better in future.

Alberto did an excellent job taking us around the city in his Mercedes SUV. He speaks good English. He gave us a wonderful history of the area and showed us the sights that we wanted to see. He was able to answer our questions and was very personable. I would use him again and I highly recommend him.

I and my sister-in-law (both elderly) visited Barcelona for a cruise and engaged Albert's company to take us from our hotel to the cruise ship at the start of the cruise and again to pick us up following the cruise for a short tour of Barcelona and then to the airport. We could not have been happier with Albert's services and attention, from the booking process right through to his farewell hug at the airport. He advised us that he is currently having difficulties, as are most of the private driver companies in Barcelona, with the taxi drivers trying to block competition from private operators, who need a special licence to enter the port area. Despite these difficulties, Albert was able to organise a licensed driver to take us to the ship, and he and a driver picked us up after the cruise. Albert was most obliging, taking us wherever we wanted to go, including stopping for water and then the best coffee I'd had since before the cruise (ship coffee is always awful!). He was very knowledgeable about Barcelona and the highlight for me was a revisit of Sagrada Familia, and a first view of Casa Batllo. We felt entirely safe and cared for by Albert, who even sent a message to check that we had arrived home safely - a true gentleman!

Highly recommend a tour with Albert. He is very knowledgeable and responds quickly. Unfortunately we had limited time due to our travel plans but Albert made the most of our experiences at Park Guell and Sagrada Familia. Wish we had more time to spend but definitely planning a return trip in the future and will enlist his services again!

I booked this because of the excellent reviews. The driver was 5 min late picking us up. He didn’t speak good English. He took us to one place, it was a look out of some sort. I asked what this is and he stated “beautiful”. We went to the second place with no discussion. When we asked him a question he didn't understand. We went to the second stop. A house. The line to get in was long. I didn’t know what it was and he really pushed us to go inside. We didn’t want to as the line was super long. We believe he wanted us to go inside so they would tell us what it was as he wasn’t able to. So we finally went and waited in line for a bit. After a few minutes we dropped out of line as this was a private tour and this isn’t something we wanted to do. Went back to the van and he was gone getting himself some food. There was a BIG sign that said no food or drink in the car. It was 95 degrees and we wanted water. We didn’t drink it because of the sign but he chowed down on a pastry of some sort He took us the third destination. La Sagrada Família. Dropped us off as he wasn’t able to park. He wasn’t able to tell us anything about it just said “go see. Beautiful”. It was beautiful. He then took us midtown and told us to go visit a market on our own. We had a time to meet. He never returned. Another guy was there at the meeting point (2:00) and said the driver had sent him to get us. Different car. No badge. No warning. I was reluctant get in but he did have our bags. He took us straight back to our ship. We were one hour early back. He dropped us off at the wrong location. Our trip was less than informative and cut short.
I e mailed the owner out of courtesy. Explained the above. He apologized stating he had a new guy doing a tour. I requested a partial refund as we got no tour. I learned zero about Barcelona. The “tour” was basically a taxi ride. I paid over $600 for it.
Owner replied, apologized, and said he would be happy to show us around Barcelona next visit for free. Not sure I will ever make it back. I explained that and again asked for a partial refund. He stopped replying.
This review is fair. We had a terrible experience and I don’t feel we got what is advertised.

I am very sad that you hadn't a good experience in Barcelona.
The main problem with your tour is that the car had a problem with the A/C , and couldn't go on with the tour. Then, we arranged a new driver to pick you up at your location and continue with the tour.
Once you were at the new car, you asked the driver to drop you off at the cruise ship, as it was too hot to go on with the tour, and you had enough.
I think that's not a reason to ask for a full refund of the amount.
I hope next time we will have the opportunity to serve you without any trouble.

We will never forget this experience. Albert enriched our short visit to Barcelona in ways that we could not have imagined. We communicated to him what we wanted to experience as well as our time limitations. He over-delivered in every way.
It was VIP door-to-door service all the way. From our initial encounter at the train station to our bittersweet goodbye at La Sagrada Familia Albert took care of every detail. It is amazing to us how we were able to create so many lifetime memories in 6 hours!

We had a marvelous morning with Albert on Barcelona! He is passionate and informative about his city! He was waiting for us when we disembarked as we had scheduled. For four (4) hours he took us to the most interesting sights in the city, ending with Sagrada Familia. What a masterpiece!
This tour was like a delicious appetizer... it was just the taste that makes us want to come back for more!

If you're visiting Barcelona, Albert's tour is a must-do, especially if it's your first time in the city. After picking us up very promptly at the tour start time, Albert took us to many of the sights and gave us lots of great stories and information on them. We covered Casa Batllo, Park Guell and many others. We drove by lots of great viewpoints to photograph Barcelona from various angles. We like to walk a lot, so Albert customized the tour for us by using some of our time together to walk through the Old Town. We went to a great tapas bar for lunch, and also got some recommendations for places to go during our remaining time in Barcelona.
Albert is the perfect mix of professional, patient, informative, and fun. We highly recommend his tour.

Albert was AMAZING!!!! We arranged for an airport pickup prior to start of our tour. He was extremely prompt. Throughout the tour he was very knowledgeable on the history of the city. He truly loves what he does and it shows. He was never rushed and gave us valuable information that we were very appreciative. Highly recommend booking with him.
