We loved this excursion. Our Tour Guide Omar was very friendly & knowledgeable. We not only saw all things on the itinerary, but also made alternative arrangements for us to get back to the port on time due to an event in the city. 10/10

Cuddy was an excellent tour guide! He gave us a lot of island history and took us to interesting places. There is some walking on uneven surfaces at the wildlife preserve, but it is manageable. We really enjoyed this tour.

Itinerary

Following convenient pickup from the cruise port around 9:30am, travel to the Barbados Wildlife Reserve in a comfortable tour vehicle.

Disembark to explore with your guide and group. As you walk around, see monkeys and other animals playing around. Please note that the monkeys are wild animals that are able to come and go as they please, therefore there is no guarantee of seeing monkeys.

Continue to the Garrison Savannah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to St. Anne's Fort, the Main Guard, and the George Washington House. As you circumnavigate the area, learn about the historical significance of the landmarks.

To end your day, head to Carlisle Bay, the location of the Savvy on the Bay. Enjoy a greeting with a welcome drink, then settle in with your provided beach lounger and shared umbrella. Spend time on the beach however you like, including an optional upgrade to a 1.5-hour cruise into the bay to swim and snorkel around a shipwreck and a sea turtle habitat.

After your full-day adventure, head to the port for drop-off.

Well worth the price.

There is a lot of driving involved but we had an excellent host who gave us all kinds of info about the island and also stopped for photo ops on our way to the wildlife sanctuary where we were greeted with a complimentary drink. We saw tons of monkeys in a very natural habitat where they're free to leave if the please. There was other wildlife as well. We left there and ended at the beach where we had complimentary chairs, umbrellas, and another free drink. It was well worth the price, and a great deal for everything you get.

Winston was our guide and did a great job sharing the history of Barbados, driving us to scenic viewpoints, and of course getting us to and from the monkey sanctuary and beach! We appreciated his patience and flexibility with one individual in our group who is less mobile and needed extra time to walk with a walker.

Beach and monkey feeding

Susan was friendly and attentive. It was just my husband and I on the tour. We enjoyed the wildlife reserve and monkey feeding. The beach was beautiful and the lounge chairs and umbrellas were plentiful. The return shuttle was on time.

Really enjoyed the wildlife park. Beach stop included a chair and 1 drink. Great variety of good trucks at the beach.

Fun times

Fun, entertaining, driver was knowledgeable about the island.. just be prepared to take a little tour of the island before actually get into your destination, which unfortunately does cut into some of your excursion time. Carlisle Bay beach was absolutely beautiful..

Great trip.

Rod_B, Feb 2025
Great trip and very good value (£40 per person). Probably the best we did in our two weeks here in the Caribbean. We were picked up promptly and taken to a few spots around Barbados before going to the wildlife sanctuary. The entrance fee ($15) was included in the price of our tour. It was great to see the "wild" monkeys being fed. From there we went to Carlisle Bay for 3 hours on the beach. Entrance, a sun bed and umbrella, AND a very cold beer from Savvy's seafront bar were all included too. Carlisle Bay is amazing. Much nicer than Grand Anse (incredibly overcrowded). Finally, last but not least, our driver was exceptional. Very polite, courteous and knowledgeable and the only driver who wasn't standing with his hand out looking a tip (which earned him a tip).

Definitely recommend

What a wonderful tour! We had a great time seeing so much of the island on the drive. The wildlife park was awesome; no guide was needed and lots of monkeys were around for feeding time. The beach was terrific and our driver Vaughan was very informative.

Excellent tour that included so much in one day. First we drove through the more affluent area of Barbados and tour guide was very informative. Stopped at a spectacular lookout on our way to a beautiful tropical garden. Spent about 45 minutes walking the garden trail and took some photos of the green monkeys in the trees. Then went to Carlisle Bay to spend a few hours at the beach - it was a beautiful beach and very relaxing. Finished the excursion on a modern boat that toured us around Carlisle Bay and were provided equipment for those who wanted to go snorkeling. Tour guide was great and very conscientious to get us back to port on time.

The best part of the tour would definitely be the beach. The wildlife tour was actually in a gully so there were more plants/trees vs animals. We did see three monkeys but it was totally by chance. Our guide going to the gully was really cool but overall just go to the beach.

We didn't see any monkey's but with wildlife you never know what will happen. We were told to walk down around a path and left to look at things by ourselves. About three quarters of the way down we came upon some others that were on a different tour with the same company but they had a tour guide with them. I asked if we could join them and she said yes so for the remainder of the walk we had someone to point out interesting facts about the trees, caves, snails, etc. We then went to the beach. When we got there we were told there were no more umbrella's which according to the tour description is what we were supposed to have along with a lounge chair for each of us. After some discussion two lounge chairs were moved out of the sun and under an awning in front of entertainment area. The water was great and the beach was also very nice. I would have liked to be up closer on the beach with an umbrella. I recommend that they reserve umbrella's for guests on future excursions.

Great tour. Our guide Fernando was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The monkey experience was more than we could have imagined. We saw lots of monkeys, even some with babies and enjoying their food and swinging in the trees. The next part of the tour to Pirates Cove Beach was in total contrast where we enjoyed a stay on the beach where there was great music by a duo with steel drums and guitars and a free glass of punch. Everything was as described by Viator and more.

Ironically, the wildlife encounter came at the end of Beach Swim (I.e. The Green Turtles were beautiful and feeding them was exhilarating). We then went back to Carlisle Bay Beach for even more swimming and a few some drinks at this beautifulbeach! The tour (that starts the day) should be improved

Liza nuestra guia es muy profesional, punctual y agradable.
