This was fun, but we only saw 2 turtles. The shipwreck was cool and close enough to actually see it, unlike some shipwrecks we've seen that are so deep you only get merky view of them.

The snorkeling was good.

Gregory_W, Mar 2026
The snorkeling was good., some of the information was not clear. We didn't understand that there were 3 versions of the experience and they all were grouped in one pickup. We expected to get picked up and to go snorkeling for 1.5 hours right away. We had to wait at least an hour once we got to the beach before we could get on the boat. We were also expected to wait for all the other experiences to end to go back to the ship. Again, the way we read it, we would be picked up, snorkel and then be returned to the ship right away. Also, flippers would have been helpful.

Brilliant

Brilliant However. Needed to be back at the Cruise ship at 2 (expecting the tour to finish at 12) and was cutting it very close due to issues getting back (they ended up putting me in a shared taxi)

Brilliant tour for ALL ages. Lots of turtles and the shipwreck!

Brilliant tour. Visited with husband and our two children (4 & 2) Guide collected us from the cruise terminal at 10am - just a 15 minute wait for the shuttle bus. Then it was about 7 minutes to Carlisle Bay. Once at the beach, the shuttle parked up and we were shown the restrooms and bars before stopping at the excursion hut to receive our wristbands. We also had to sign another waiver (additional to the one online). There was about a 40 minutes wait for the 11:15 tour. We didn't have chairs included in our tour cost, but we managed to have a paddle which the kids enjoyed. The beach itself is white sand and very beautiful clear water. At 11:10 we headed back to the tour depart point and then our guide arrived to show us onto the boat. There was a short walk along the beach and we were told to take our footwear off before boarding as footwear was not allowed on deck (there's a basket on board for all shoes). I got changed into my swimwear in the ladies loos before the tour. Not the most desirable, but served a purpose! Plenty of help to get onto the boat up the steps. The boat guide helped the children in first and then helped us on. Tour was brilliant! We all were given life-vests and snorkels, two sizes (adult and child) I stayed on deck with the two-year old whilst my husband took the four year out to snorkel. The four year old also had a floaty (a life ring) which worked well. Even though I was on deck, I still saw a turtle. My husband and 4 year old saw sea life including fish and turtles and then we moved to the shipwreck, which they both saw too. One of the guides took the 2 year old out with him which was brilliant as it meant she was able to enjoy too. The captain lowered the steps for me to sit on so that I could also enjoy as I'm not a strong swimmer. The glass bottom was nothing that special as we didn't see anything through there - but I think other tours have been able to see turtles under the boat through there. We had a decent amount of time in the water - about half an hour, maybe more. You do need to swim to the next location though as the boat may suddenly move off to secure a spot at the shipwreck. Getting off the boat is either via the front steps or of the back ladder, but getting back on is always via the back ladder. There is also a slide on the top deck for the children which the four year old enjoyed. At the end of the tour we had soft drinks and then returned to shore. Getting off the boat was a challenge as was told to just step off. Natural inclination is to jump down, but don't! The boat moves so you could end up getting hurt. The guide will help if you ask. They were brilliant with the children the whole time, so I would 100% recommend for families of all ages! Tips: Best to get into swimwear before departing for the trip - facilities are OK but not brilliant. Also, if you do use the facilities, be cautious as there is a puddle of water in the middle which my 2 year old slipped on . If you have a waterproof bag, do bring that too as there's a bit of a wade out to the boat. We managed fine with a normal non-waterproof rucksack though. And wear plenty of suncream!!

Ji_N, Feb 2026
The waters weren't as clear as I thought and the turtles were super small and on the bottom of the ocean but there were tons of fish to see, I was surrounded by them. I still give them 5 stars because the guys are genuinely SO nice, chill, and laid back. Special shout out to Ron who was amazing and I had fun diving off the side of the boat with them. Didn’t get everyone's names but they were awesome as well.

As promised

Thomas_B, Jan 2026
As promised - two stop snorkeling tour with .friendly crew. First stop - turtles. Second stop - ship wreck. Saw turtles, sting ray, and lots of fish. Easy tour from beach to boat to snorkeling and back. Pick up at cruise terminal easy 10 minute ride to lovely Carlisle beach.

JennellChalk, Dec 2025
So much fun. Such a chill vibe. They have thought of everything with this beach i.e. Wi-Fi, food, beach chairs, snorkeling, everything. Definitely recommend this excursion.

Shipwrecks, Turtles and Beach...

Dave_J, Dec 2025
Excellent trip with Tranquillity Cruises. The guys on the boat looked after us very well. we'll definitely book back on again when we return A1++++

Great Tour,but confusing transfer!

Laura_T, Dec 2025
Went on snorkle tour ONLY with people going to the beach. Nobody seemed to know what time or how, we would get back.

Barbados snorkle trip

John_H, Nov 2025
Weather was overcast so visibility not great. We were left hanging around a lot before trip so the could fill boat which meant group was to large. Shipwrecks were good to see.

All the staff is very professional. From pickup until drop they take care of everything very well. I wanna take the experience again for sure.. Good job guys. Keep it up..

Excellent

Ada_m, Nov 2025
Our experience was great, very good organization and they respected the schedules, we could see many fish, turtles and Stingrays! We observed several sunken boats that kept several species of fish!! Recommended 100 percent. Good tour por cruise passengers!!

March 5/25

Victoria_L, Mar 2025
The pickup time is not the time you head to the boat. Other than that, we had a great time. I found myself struggling a bit in the water and a staff member was right there to help.

Swim with turtles

sandyjanesmith, Feb 2025
Lovely trip did eventually see a couple of turtles but other tourists crowded around so not very good viewing. No complaints on organisation of trip otherwise

No Turtle snorkelling experience

ThomasPatrick_C, Jan 2025
Be prepared for a delay. We were ready at 09.30. The Tour set off at 11.15. Take a drink and sun hat. Also take your own kit.

Good experience...

Andrew_S, Jan 2025
Good experience snorkeling…the fish were beautiful, and the crew was helpful and clear in their instructions.

Awesome experience!

Sandra_K, Jan 2025
The bus ride to the location is short and the boat ride to the snorkeling location was also short. If you’re worried about getting sea sick don’t be! The guides were amazing and ensure we saw a turtle. So much fun!!

The staff and crew are...

Glenn_L, Jan 2025
The staff and crew are courteous and but I could of swam from shore to the snorkeling site on my own. The first stop was at most 100' off shore. The second was not much further. I am a licensed scuba diver and there was not much to see.

Viator Ripoff

RogerP, Dec 2024
We missed the Tour due to incorrect information about the Tour Pickup Point supplied by a uniformed member of the Port Authority !! Firstly, I have only one criticism of the actual Tour Operator - When I called the Emergency Number twice after the pickup time had passed, the call was cleared down each time. We found a Taxi driver who knew the actual location of the Activity, and he took us to their office, where the staff were very helpful and offered us the choice of continuing with the remainder of the Tour or the option of a refund. As we had been walking around and standing waiting for nearly 3 hours by then, we decided to take the refund, and were told that this had to be processed through Viator on our return to the UK. The refund request was immediately rejected by Viator in one line of text with no explanation given. This meant that we were out of pocket for the Tour cost of $90 and the return Taxi cost of $50 It appears to me that Viator have a No Refund Policy under any circumstances, so from now on I will be using local firms directly, who seem much more concerned with customer satisfaction than Viator !!

Not well organized...

Terry_C, Nov 2024
Not well organized compared to other Viator excursions. We were transported from the port terminal to a beach and had to wait one hour for the boat to take us out snorkeling. Snorkeling experience was subpar: we were herded into a group with ropes and it was impossible to swim without running into somebody. Crew wasn't particularly friendly. Would not recommend.

Snorkeling was good though we didn't see many turtles. Water was calm.

Karel_B, Aug 2024
It was easy to find the tour at the cruise terminal. I was unhappy because we had to drive to the beach to pick up other passengers and that took awhile. The snorkeling was nice but we only saw one turtle. I understand that the tour excursion cannot guarantee what wildlife was there. The guys on the boat were helpful but paid more attention to families with kids. I did not think they were very friendly to my husband and me. The shipwrecks made the trip worth it. I was not happy that when we left we had to take all those people back to the beach first. It would have been nice to drop the passengers for the cruise ship first. Maybe some description of Barbados as we traveled through the city would have been nice. All in all, I might try it again though I think I could do the same snorkeling off the beach there too.

Snorkeling with a young child

Michael_B, May 2024
We had an excellent family excursion and saw 5 turtles and countless fish over the shipwreck. This was the first time in the ocean like this for our 3 year old. She wore goggles and the snorkel vest. The guide (Ron) put her in a life ring and basically gave her a personalized tour! He would swim her over the best spots and then tell her to hold her breath and put her face in. She saw all the best things! She even got close up to one of the turtles. It was a great experience for her and all 6 of us. The guide would also dive down and blow bubble rings to entertain her. The boat was clean and well maintained and the bathroom was convenient. The slide was also really fun for our 7 year old. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the whole experience felt very rushed. The snorkel locations are directly off shore, so there wasn’t time in transit to get prepped to get in the water. It is best to arrive completely ready to jump in the water. Once the boat stopped it was a rush to get in the water or miss your time there. I’d rather pay a bit more for even 15 more minutes to not feel rushed at the two locations. Overall, I’d recommend this experience for a variety of ages.

Barbados snorkeling

Susan_W, Mar 2024
In Barbados, our tour guide was easy to find and on time. He drove us over to the location where we would get on the boat to snorkel. The boat backs up to the white Sandy beach and you’re bored in the water which can be a little bit choppy just so you’re aware. it was a little disappointing that the snorkel that we were doing was only about 200 yards off the beach. The shipwreck was super cool and we did turtle on the bottom and on the surface. It was a good experience but my expectation was that we would be leaving a very crowded area to go somewhere a bit more secluded, and that was not the case. It was a very crowded snorkel area.

Turtles, fish, large shipwreck and so friendly

Elizabeth_P, Feb 2024
Great location. Lots of fish and a few turtles. Great length with kids. Fun friendly staff. Great for families

A nice quick snorkel adventure

Gerard_G, Feb 2024
We had a great time. It's a great crew. The water was a little cloudy but other than that it was nice. My friend could not get on the ship because the surf was too rough.

Maybe bring two pairs of shoes and don’t expect champagne!

Terralee_P, Feb 2024
We did enjoy this, but didn’t realize we would be hiking up to waterfalls and a sulfur spring as well. Enjoyable and pretty, but boat flip flops weren’t great for that! Oh, and there is no boat. You just get in the water and swim quite a ways out to see the bubbles coming up out of the rocks - not a tasty drink afterwards! Sadly, there were high surf waves that made getting in and especially getting out very difficult. There were a few fish to see as well. Excursion helpers were wonderful

Tropical Fish Everywhere

Lorrie_B, Feb 2024
The snorkeling stop at the shipwreck was a great experience with lots of species of fish. Several in our party had never snorkeled before and the staff on-board were extremely helpful and patient making them comfortable. Would just suggest that it be noted that you must board the boat via a ladder in shallow water.

Excellemt

The trip was excellent. They made getting onto the boat easy. Very helpful young men. I would recommend them to anyone.
