Great tour with Searnia who was very knowledgeable and very friendly. We learnt a lot about Bridgetown and ate some great local food, especially the fish cakes. The lunch was good and we had lots of food to take away with us. Great to see where locals eat and to hear about their products. Alan the driver was very good and book ended the tour really well. Would definitely recommend.

This was one of the best tours we've ever been on! The guide, Tammy was professional and incredibly knowledgeable about the city's history. The food stops were outstanding; all local places that a visitor would just walk by. Some required climbing steps, but were well worth it for the special finds. Robby our driver is very proud of his city and country, and he made the tour memorable through his enthusiasm and personal stories We would highly recommend taking This tour.

Great tour

Lisa_H, Apr 2026
Prepare to eat a lot! Dress to stay cool. I have a suggestion to the tour guides: instead putting one restaurant meal after another (Tim’s followed by take away restaurant with fried Marlin and cou cou), put Tim’s near last then market food then dessert. Everything was delicious, great variety, a lot of background - food and history. Thank you

Begin hungry - finish full!

Janelle was a font of information about Bajan culture, history and food. Highly recommend the tour. Be sure to arrive hungry!

The Barbados Bridgetown food tour is well worth it. You learn a good bit of history of the island and city, and eat way more than you need to! Paulette did a great job.

Great value for money and you learn something!

Steven_O, Mar 2026
Paulette was exceptional, we learned a lot about the city, all the layers within the culture of Barbados and how that has influenced the food. I love food and can eat a lot and I can assure you this tour beat me. Took one whole meal away with me to eat at the beach that evening. All the food was delicious and there was a very good variety of different foods. Top tip, do not feel as though you have to finish each meal, there is plenty to come throughout the trip!! After the trip we walked to the beach in Carlisle bay to sleep it off!

Some tasty food and great guide, Shari. Wasn't totally what we expected but worth doing nevertheless.

Great foodie experience!

RobertKeith_H, Mar 2026
Our tour guide was Sherry. We found her to be most knowledgeable about the entire island and a real pleasure to visit with. All of the food choices were amazing and thankfully we came hungry! Can’t decide which dish we liked best, but I will say it’s between the meat rolls and the fish cakes. Could eat either of them regularly. Much fun and a must do if you like to learn about and eat like the locals.

Amazing

Amazing! Paulette was a bundle of energy and very knowledgable and answered all our questions. The food was really good and plenty of it. Walking through Bridgetown was a great way to see the town and Paulette brought it to life. Our driver Alan was also amazing. Well worth it for a taste of Barbados.

This food tour fed us for the day! Come hungry as there is loads of tasty food. We recommend doing this early in your trip so that you can go back to these spots and feel more adventurous trying local food throughout. Tammy_K, Mar 2026
Lots of food so don’t be afraid to be picky. More food at the next stop. Food is just ok, guides are good.

Authentic Bajan food tour!

Michael_T, Mar 2026
Paulette, was an excellent food tour guide. She was fun, knowledgeable, and informative regarding Barbados history & culture. We sampled lots of delicious authentic local Bajan food and ate until we were absolutely stuffed.

Great tour!

Toni_F, Feb 2026
Searnia was our guide and she brought us on a very interesting, informative and fun walking tour of various local eateries, bakeries and market stalls. Learned a lot about Barbados culture as well enjoyed sampling various local delicacies and checking out tropical fruits and vegetables in the markets. Really enjoyed it, the bakery especially! Wear sunscreen and comfortable shoes - plenty of walking and some uneven ground - and come hungry! A great tour!

Fun and educational

Marit_S, Feb 2026
We had a fun time on the food/history/sightseeing trip around Bridgetown. Our guide, Searnia, gave us insight in the local food traditions as well as the local fruit, vegetables and herbs and their nutritional, via their resistance and the fight for freedom that they have today, mixed with urban life and shopping. A very good tip: show up hungry!

Glad we decided on this tour

Loved all the history of Barbados from our lovely guide Tamara and great bajan food stops. Perfect day

Local Flavor in Georgetown

Thomas_D, Feb 2026
Great way to get a feel for Georgetown by walking the backstreets and main streets alike, all while tasting local foods. Trip was led by Paulette, who was energetic, fun and informative.

Bajan Food Tour

Margaret_L, Feb 2026
We arranged for the tour with TripAdvisor/ Viator and they were in good communication with us leading up to the tour. We felt it a very good value as our guide Janelle provided so much history and facts related to the traditional Barbadian food. In addition the food provided was ample to cover breakfast and lunch. We had 4 couples in our group representing different countries. We had ample time to talk to each other at our rest stop and along the way. We sampled fish and fruits, sweets and savories. Our day included quite a bit of walking so advise good footwear. This tour gave us a great opportunity to see much of Bridgetown which is a vibrant and lively city. Would recommend getting to the meeting point early to see the near by parks and visit the two bridges right near Independence Park.

This tour was an excellent way to experience authentic local cuisine that doesn’t typically appear on hotel or tourist-oriented menus. Paulette was very informative, and beyond the food stops, I especially appreciated her explanations of the island’s locally grown produce, how it is used, and the historical context she shared along the way. While the tour is comparatively expensive, I enjoyed it and came away with a richer understanding of Bajan cuisine and culture.

Best day ‘nammin and being lickrish with Paulette!

Michelle_M, Feb 2026
We did this tour on our first day to learn about Bajan food and culture and we had an outstanding experience! Our guide, Paulette was an excellent! She was enthusiastic, informative, friendly, helpful, funny and very proud of her country! We were a group of six, which was nice because everyone could see and hear and Paulette took the time to answer all of our questions. The actual food was so delicious and filling we had to take some back to our hotel for dinner because it was just so much! I’m not going to spoil her surprises by sharing the stops but it was a good thing we were walking because it helped make room for each delicious stop! Thank you Paulette for showing us how to eat like Bajan! We had so much fun nammin’ with you and being lickrish! Much love from your friends from 🇨🇦❤️

Great combination of good food and good stories.

Nice walking tour around downtown Bridgetown. Our driver Juliet was super nice and friendly and so was our guide Tamara. Tour comes with A LOT of food, all really good. They catered to my dietary restrctions very well. We had a small group of 9 so we had time to chat with the guide and each other. Overall I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. It was well worth the money.

Great tour with Tamara and Allan

Bruce_B, Jan 2026
We had a great food tour with Tamara our guide and Allan our driver. Allan gave us a full tour of all the sites between our pick-up spot and the start of the tour at Independence Park. He highlighted the George Washington House, where the monkeys hang out and take bananas from people, and more. Tamara is very knowledgeable about Barbados and talked about the history of the island as we walked between food stops. The stops were well planned and the food was plentiful and local to Barbados. The only criticism, if any, was that there was too much food. The tour ended at the chocolate factory for a tasting of delicious ice cream. Who can complain?? There is always room for ice cream. On the way back, Allan was super helpful and pointed out more sites to see. Great day!
