Wonderful walking tour

Jorge_F, Mar 2026
Paulette was our tour guide and she was amazing. Very knowledgeable and explained the different types of food we were eating and about the culture. The places she took us too were wonderful and we got to experience the local foods.

Tamara was an amazing...

Kiersten_F, Feb 2026
Tamara was an amazing tour guide and brought our group to all the places "where the food has actual flavor"—in other words, not the usual tourist spots. Everything was delicious and Tamara was knowledgeable about the cuisine and Barbados history. I'm vegetarian and I had plenty to eat! This tour was one of the highlights of my trip. Also, a shout out to the driver, Alan, who found me when I was waiting in the wrong pick-up spot. Oops. I was certain I was going to miss the tour, but he circled the block until he found me.

Good tour guide, but tour isn't worth the cost

Lauren_B, Jan 2026
I had high hopes for this tour given the strong ratings; however, I was disappointed. I feel as though the tour was not worth the price. I could've taken a cab into Bridgetown and gone around on my own and saved the money. It was overpriced essentially, especially for a walking tour where you are doing most of the work. This excursion should not be more than $30/person. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and I did appreciate the variety of places we visited, but again, not super valuable.

Amazing experience

Shari was our guide and she was absolutely amazing! She kept us entertained, sharing nuggets of history of Barbados mixed in with some personal stories. It felt like we were walking around and hanging with a friend. The food stops were excellent, we had way too much to eat and ended up bringing some of it back with us!

Great local food tastings, you wont leave hungry

Cindy_P, Nov 2025
Part of travel is learning about the history and culture of the country, and tasting their food. Jolene was a knowledgeable guide who gave us a lot of history along with a lot of food. It was a small group of 6, which made walking through busy markets and streets easier. My only suggestion is Jolene spoke very fast and often did not wait until we were all near her to hear the info she shared.

Local food experience

The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to eat and learn about the island while walking.

Barbados Food Tour

Excellent. Five food stops including two one course meals at local takeaway restaurants snapping local dishes. Loads of information on history of Bridgetown and the food we ate.

Bajan history & food—a great combo!

Susan_M, Dec 2024
Our guide Paulette was wonderful. Full of energy, very likable and her knowledge of Barbados and Bajan history was wonderful. Come hungry—there is so much food! We had a wonderful time.

Food Tour in Bridgetown, Barbados

Scott_L, Jun 2024
The food tour was interesting. It was an extremely hot day and sunny. It took 3 hours of walking around and sampling local Bajan food and bakery items. We started off with the bakery, then a sit down restaurant where we had chicken leg, macaroni pie, coleslaw, cassava cucumber relish. It was okay to me. Then we went to a cafe and I had a chicken. It was good. After that we went to another sit in small restaurant and we were served chicken thigh mixed with black eye peas and rice with a small salad added to the same plate. I didn’t really like this. Others in my group enjoyed it. Last stop was non dairy ice cream shop. We both had mango ice cream and it was delicious. After that the tour ended. Paulette was nice and friendly. She was very knowledgeable of the Bajan/Barbados history and told us a great story of Barbados’s past.

A foodie paradise

Paulette was great during this walking food tour. She was friendly, engaging, and very knowledgeable about the history of Barbados as well as taking us to delicious places to eat. I will definitely recommend this tour. Paulette made it extra fun.

Excellent Local Food Tour

Staci_N, Apr 2024
What a great way to spend time in Bridgetown and be prepared to eat!!! Paulette was an excellent guide who was so knowledgeable with her information on both the history and the food of Barbados. She was personable, interesting, and engaging. The tour was a fairly easy walk with samples of a lot of the local cuisine at both sit-down and food stands. It was also a very easy walk to and from the cruise port. Highly recommend

Come HUNGRY!!

Elizabeth_S, Apr 2024
Come hungry!!! What an amazing experience doing the Lickrish food tour. Our guide Janelle was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the island and how it relates to the cuisine of the area. She was so kind and did a fantastic job. We have done food tours all over the world and it was definitely one of the best. We had a meat roll, fish cakes, sorrel juice, fresh cantaloupe, a coconut sweet, macaroni pie with chicken and salad, and topped it off with ice cream. It was a pretty easy and flat walk, though it was quite hot! Pack your sunscreen!

Great food and history

Conniehowe2003, Feb 2024
What a great experience! We were able to sample a lot of the local cuisine. Enjoyed that it was a combination of restaurants and food carts. My only suggestion it that by the last restaurant we were so full we couldn’t eat much. Our tour guide gave us so much history of Barbados along with the food history. We learned a lot. Highly recommend this tour to anyone

Barbados Walking Food Tour

Rachel H, Oct 2018
We were given instructions on where to meet and how best to get there. We grabbed a cab at the port and he dropped us at the meeting point with no issues. Cost was $5Our tour guide arrived right on time and got us signed in and ready to go. For this tour there was 4 people total. Our first stop was Zadelle's for a meat pie and smoothie. Both very good. Next we stopped at Tim's Restaurant. There we were introduced to BBQ Pig's Tail...good, but messy and kind of weird when you got to the bone. From there we stopped at a farmers market for some home made Tamarind Juice...YUM! Next up was a food truck for Hot Legendary Fishcakes. Really good and spicy! Still tasting, we then went to Ryanne's for Bajan Soup and a timely water refill. We then had a quick stop at the Agapey Chocolate Factory before moving to our last stop: Mustor's Restaurant & Bar. There we had Flying Fish with a corn meal/okra cake in a curry sauce. I liked the fish, but not so much the okra cake. Also here, I tried the local Banks Beer. Good, refreshing and a nice end to our food tour. Our tour guide, Janelle was friendly and informative. Interspersing plenty of history along with the food stops. Over all I really enjoyed this tour and would certainly recommend it if you are looking for something beyond a beach day to do in Barbados.
