Areally good way of enjoying beach time at Carlisle Bay with cruise port transfers. The boat trip to snorkel and hopefully see turtles was excellent. Savvy on the Bay is a really nice spot on the beach. We have used Beautiful Barbados before and can highly recommend their tours.

Lesley_T, Apr 2026
A great way to spend half a day! The bus was waiting on us at the cruise port and took us straight to the beach with the AC blasting. We had about 45 mins to chill at the beach before we had to meet up to get to the boat. We were on the boat for about an hour, hour and a half. We got in the water at 2 separate places. Then, when we got back to the beach, we had about 2 hours to kill until it was time to go back to the cruise terminal. There are many different food trucks offering food and drinks. Highly recommend. FYI, if you want to eat, plan on it taking about 30+ mins to make your food and plan accordingly.

Beautiful beach, poor visibility in the water

Elizabeth_B, Mar 2026
The white sandy beach was beautiful however the water was very murky. The visibility to see the turtles was very poor. We saw 5 turtles, but we could only see 1 of them well. The shipwreck was ok and there were quite a few fish in this area.

A great beach day with boat trip.

Disappointing Day!

Sandra_H, Mar 2026
Have booked this tour several times in the past and recommended it to many fellow cruisers. However today's trip was very disappointing. Far too many sun loungers crammed together making access very difficult and no personal space whatsoever. Cruise was very poor. Usually go all way along coast to Hilton Hotel but only went out to wreck. Saw no turtles and my mask failed which led to me seeing nothing. I reported it immediately but no one replaced the mask until the session was basically over. When returning to shore without cruising along coast, I questioned the Captain as to why the whole trip was not fulfilled to be told too much time had been spent looking for turtles. I made a complaint before leaving the beach and the driver was asked to take my details on returning to the Cruise Port but he refused to on arrival! I felt very much that I had not received what I had paid for!! Sadly I will not be booking or recommending this trip again.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

I am sorry that you were not satisfied with the tour. We regularly get compliments on our gear. In addition the other cruises offered at the bay are 40 minutes and ours is 80. There are even those that sell on this same platform for 60 minutes and cut to 35 or 40 when it is busy but we NEVER do this. We stick to the same length. The tour does not describe going to the Hilton so this should not have been expected.

This trip was not as I...

Anne_C, Mar 2026
This trip was not as I expected. Both boarding & getting off the boat was pretty dangerous as it was from the beach & you need to be very sure footed. A couple of people on our trip ended up in the water when getting off on the beach. We were not very far out, which was not made very clear, so the snorkelling area was pretty crowded & the chances of seeing a turtle were very limited.

Basic but relaxing. Something to do.

Kevin_S, Mar 2026
I'm glad we did it but it was quite basic. 2 snorkel stops - the first about 100 metres offshore over a very small shipwreck with lots of small fish, the 2nd stop closer to shore to see one turtle embedded in the sand below us although a crew member did dive down with my camera to get a close up of the ninja. Then 2.5 hours on beach. I guess ok for £45 per head. Getting onto the boat from the beach would be impossible for anyone with mobility issues.

Beach day and snorkel

Timea_E, Mar 2026
Very easy excursion from the cruise port. I didn't realise that it was only going to the beach very near the port and that the boat excursion is in the same bay. Saying that we had a great day, sun beds and umbrellas provided, complimentary drink, lots of food trucks available to get lunch from. We saw a baby turtle and snorkelled around a shipwreck. Water was a bit rough, but crew were very safely conscious and we felt safe. We had a lovely day and it was good value as well. Thanks you

Snorkeling just ok

Scott_K, Feb 2026
The snorkeling is just off shore. Shipwrecks were interesting but fishlife was not. Turtles for the most part were dug into the sand on the bottom and barely visible. One did surface which was cool.

Great views of many fish, small shards and turtles. A bit crowded at turtle sitting. Not a free snorkeling experience, but well focused

Total Chaos

Amy_S, Feb 2026
On 1/28/26, my husband and I were picked up at the Barbados cruise port & taken to the BEAUTIFUL BARBADOS TOURS & EXCURSIONS resort area where we were herded like cattle along with another bus full of people who arrived moments after us. We were told they were running behind that morning, and to quickly sign in and get our wrist band. We were then told to hurry to the shoreline where another staffer told us to run to get the boat that was going to "leave without us." Once on the boat, there was confusion; apparently there were too many people onboard. An announcement was made to leave the boat if you are not on the 11:00 excursion. No one moved. A female manager then came onboard and threatened the police if people didn't get off the boat. Still no one moved--everyone was getting irritated that we were losing snorkeling time. The staff then came around and asked to see our tickets--concurrently, over their loudspeaker, they named people who were booked on a 1:00 trip. We, and another four couples were asked to get off the boat. We showed the manager our confirmations, and nowhere on them did they say what time the excursion was to leave; only the 11:00 pick up time. The manager argued with us saying that 11 was the pick up time; how could it be the boat departure time? We all were confused as we were never told what time the boat was leaving on any of the booking documents, nor from the staff. In fact, it was her staff that were rushing us all along! We were on vacation and didn't even wear our watches, so we didn't know what time it was. Once removed from the boat, the irritated manager offered us a consolation drink from the bar and asked us to "relax on the beach" until 1:00. She promised a partial refund and took our names and email addresses. Once on the excursion, we were taken literally minutes from where we boarded (we could have swam ashore) the area of the shipwrecks were overly crowded with snorkelers. Tourists from three or four other excursions were bumping into us and our boat was dangerously close to colliding with another boat as well as snorkelers. We were told to get back on the boat to be taken to another site. My husband, a certified SCUBA diver refused to go back in the water because the dive site was unsafe, so we sat on the boat for the rest of the excursion. We LOVE Barbados and were really looking forward to seeing turtles and having a relaxing excursion. Instead, it was rushed, confrontational, chaotic and frankly, unenjoyable. This, compounded with BEAUTIFUL BARBADOS TOURS & EXCURSIONS' manager not following through with her commitment to make a partial refund has caused me to leave this unflattering review.

Great way to have beach time and snorkeling!

Mary_H, Feb 2026
Wonderful, patient crew on the trip as there were some that were not paying attention to the crew. Good combo with beach time and snorkeling the sunken ships. Crew very attentive and respectful of nature-saw baby turtles and they reminded people not to touch them and stay clear as they came up for air. Woukd go again!

We did this exact tour...

scrappinwoman98, Feb 2026
We did this exact tour 6 years ago. When we did it in 2020 we had an amazing experience one of our favorites of all time and this is why I booked it again. This time was very different. First there was complete confusion of which time we had for going snorkeling vs beach time. The manager took no responsibility in all of it and put the blame all on Viator. The beach is beautiful still. The snorkeling was horrible. Way way too many humans that you can barely move around without getting hit or kicked. And there was 1 tiny like baby size turtle on the ocean floor that I had a very hard time telling it was a turtle. Very disappointed.

Excellent trip , well...

rbuttershawca, Feb 2026
Excellent trip , well organized , good communication , though I wonder what would happen if our cruise ship arrived late , or the port stop was cancelled .

Good Value

Cathy_F, Jan 2026
This was a nice day at the beach. Crew did an excellent job snorkeling with the passengers. Saw a couple of turtles and multiple schools of fish at the ship wreck.

Horrible

Laura_B, Jan 2026
The worst most unorganized tour ever. Also saw nothing. Very rushed and no time to enjoy anything. Horrible horrible service.

Great beach day and snorkeling experience.

LawrenceCallis, Jan 2026
This was a great excursion that let you spend a half a day at the beach. The water is very clear and current is minimal. There are also many of food vendors at the beach. The guides for the snorkeling ensure that you will see plenty of fish above the ship wreck. They feed the fish which is a smart idea to bring them out. It was cool to see a sunken ship in the water as well. They also have a slide on the boat to slide off into the water. This is optional. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will do this excursion when I return again.

Barbados

Nicholas_C, Jan 2026
The snorkeling was fun and interesting and the guys in the boat were great. But the beach was a little ragged. We had a minor altercation with one of the beach employees and then got double charged for a cab ride back to the ship. Not the best experience we have had with Viator, which is usually excellent.

Nice Beach, skip the snorkeling

Amy_M, Jan 2026
The staff members were very nice, but a bit disorganized. The tour started late because they could figure out who was and wasn't supposed to be on the boat. The snorkeling was okay. There were some fish at the shipwreck, not a lot. And we only saw one baby turtle. The snorkeling stops were less than 100 yards apart. Honestly, this should only be one stop, as it would have been just as easy to swim from one sight to another. All snorkeling occurred about 100 yards or so from the beach. No boat was needed. We could easily swim to the snorkeling site. The beach was nice. Restrooms were clean. The food at the food trucks was a bit pricey, and service was very slow. I would recommend just doing a beach day here. If you have your own snorkeling gear, just swim to the sites.

David_S, Jan 2026
Was a fun experience, ticked all the boxes . Managed to see some turtles and the snorkelling over the shipwreck was excellent

Colorful corals on sunken ship!

Janel007johnson, Jan 2026
This was an enjoyable snorkel trip - two stops not far from beautiful, to see green turtles and colorful corals on sunken ship and debris. Ron and his crew were very informative and watchful of their snorkelers. Carlisle Bay is THE beach to get some R&R. Once it’s beach time you have a relaxing beach chair & umbrella to come back to. Grab your free Rum Punch (or other choice from a selection of about 8 drinks), chill on the beach and listen to the waves crash - powdery white sand beach and translucent waters! Book this - it will soon be one of your favorite tours.

Beach was great

Pamela_B, Jan 2026
The snorkeling portion of the tour is right off the beach, the staff was fabulous. The snorkeling a little disappointing, not much to look at. We did see two turtles though, which is not guaranteed of course. The shipwreck was dull. The beach portion was really nice, the sand was so soft. There was a very good selection of food to choose from. The bar staff laid-back.

Underwhelming

Jason_R, Jan 2026
Snorkeling was crowded and rushed. The Beach was nice. Chairs & umbrella provided. We ate at the food trucks. Taco Dan’s was good.

A good day to spend the day

Kevin_B, Jan 2026
From cruise terminal to beach & then given a time for the snorkeling etc. All great saw 3 turtles and plenty of fish.

Karen_R, Dec 2025
Great value for money a fantastic trip. It was very well organised from start to finish. The snorkeling and boat trip were a highlight as we seen lots of different fish and a baby turtle

A great day in Barbados

Joan_M, Dec 2025
The beaches are beautiful. We had a great time snorkeling and the guides emphasized safety in a good way. The turtles are on the smaller side due to the time of year

Kayleigh_C, Dec 2025
Amazing trip. You get sunbeds and umbrella at Savvy on the beach. The driver agrees a time to pick you up so you get aslong as you want. The boat trip doesn't take you out far but you see the turtles and then get taken to the ship wreck site. Easy to find outside the cruise terminal. Would book again

Snorkel part of this was...

Doug_W, Dec 2025
Snorkel part of this was a five star. I'm giving it a two-star because the company at the terminal were absolutely rude and terrible. They made us wait for a half hour because another ship was coming in. That was late and they never once explained to us what was going on. Then on the way back they practice into a bus that was meant for 44 passengers and they put about $50.55 passengers on it. Terrible. Terrible. They should never have done this. It should have been more coordinated.. you can do this exact same excursion on your own. Just get a taxi from the port. It was $5 each way per person. Then when you get to the beach you can rent a chair an umbrella for $10 and do the snorkel tour for $30 each.

SAVVY all the Way

Celeste_N, Dec 2025
This tour was well organized and was only a short bus ride to the beach and snorkeling. The facilities were great as you had access to chairs, a bar and food trucks. The snorkeling was right in front of our beach chairs so everything was very convenient and very easy to do. I would definitely visit SAVVYon the beach again.

Over advertised, not worthy

Uyen_T, Dec 2025
This snorkel was like a joke. The shipwreck had some fish and just coupke hundred feet from the beach. To see turles would be even more ridiculous, the site was almost next the the beach and there was no turtle to see!

Response from Host, Dec 2025

The wreck is roughly 769 feet from shore. Anyone wishing to check this please use google earth and use the measurement tool.
