Truly a great experience with amazing views and a great guide. The chairlift was an added surprise and the overall experience was a must do.

I would not recommend this for anybody without climbing experience or younger pre-teens/teens.
The operator was professional and clear with instructions but the difficulty level was clearly shared.
Our tour guide Alex was amazing. He shared the instructions well.
But once on the rock face my teens had to navigate steep, rocky terrain that I wasn't aware of or prepared for.
It then started raining heavily and I didn't feel save on the sections our teens were not clipped in for.
When I advised Alex he was kind and got assistance for us to end our tour and come back down.
Great company, and guides, but the difficulty level wasn't clear or accurately posted on viator site.

Don’t have to be an experienced hiker. Our guide (Juan) was very experienced, thorough with directions, and patient!

You will not regret it! First part a little crazy then……. Exhilarating! Can understand how people get hooked climbing! Felt incredibly safe the entire time!

This was a must do! Our group for the most part were beginners but with the help of our guide and big push from our friends we powered through and enjoyed every minute. The beginning is the hardest part but the entire climb is challenging but worth it even if you’re a beginner.

Great experience! We had a lot of fun on this Via Ferrata, it was a great way to spend time on the mountains rather than just looking at them. Our guide Matt was knowledgeable, fun, kept everyone safe, and really made sure everyone had a good time. If you are in Banff this is a must.

This experience was absolutely amazing. Ben was our guide and was incredible at keeping everyone entertained while also making sure everyone was safe and confident, and even getting great pictures. I couldn’t recommend this enough.

We took the 2 hour tour. Our guide, Kevin, was great! He was reassuring to those who were nervous and had a great sense of humor. It wasn't too challenging (for this 56 year old). I LOVED the exhilaration of the climb and the views from all along the trail were just breathtaking. there are several of these trails in Europe but this is the only one I know of in North America.
If you have the chance this is a Must Do activity!!

What an amazing experience! We can’t thank Amanda and the team enough. They took great care in helping us all.

Eli was AWESOME! This excursion was the hi-light of our trip! We had so much fun and we will definitely do again! I don’t think I have ever said that about any other excursion we have booked (and that includes the ones we gave five starts to). I guess it has always been a “glad we did it, don’t need to do again”, but this one is different. Challenging and scary, but you will leave with a sense of accomplishment! Very fun!! I would, however, put the physical demand at more than moderate…. If you can do a slow jog for a mile, you can do this…

This was a great time. Juan our guide was good to work with. Adrenaline was rushing for sure. Physically challenging for this 48 year old but definitely worth it.

Tour guide Zach was amazing! He was great at making everyone feel safe and comfortable. I accidentally arrived at the neighboring lodge because of maps. Luckily I was early enough and I recommend being over 30 minutes before scheduled time. They provide boots, raincoat, and backpacks for water and snacks. I was a nervous first timer but soon wanted to stay up on the mountain longer. The views were amazing and we even saw a mountain sheep. I shared the experience with strangers and we all had a fun great time. I would recommend getting a group of friends together and take this adventure! Have a blast!!

What a great way to start the Banff journey! Thanks to David, our guide who was very enthusiastic and skillful. He gave us great directions and was very encouraging. It was exactly what we needed as we are beginners and had no idea what we got ourselves into. Definitely worth the experience and not to forget the views - Just wow!

My husband booked this Via Ferrata and didn't tell me because I would have said no way. With my anxiety at 100 I decided to do it, but I could not have done it without our amazing instructor/coach Zack. His calm demeanor helped me remain calm and focused. He provided clear instructions at each step. He coached our entire group to the top safely. I appreciated that he did not rush us and in fact made sure our experience was one to remember! For anyone who says they would never do this, I say step out of your comfort zone and try it! It's an amazing feeling when finished!

Our guild Lucy smashed it out of the park. It was such a fun experience and she did a great job at keeping our group together and having fun. Would fully recommend.
Rebecca_C, Jun 2024
This was such an amazing experience considering it was at the beginner level. Very challenging but conquering any fears you might have! I honestly think I couldn’t have done this tour without the help of our guide Zach. Very patient, knowledgeable, extremely genuine.

This was so much fun!!!! We did this as a family (some have a fear of heights) but got over them easily and had the best time ever!! Our guide Eli was the ABSOLUTE BEST and made the whole experience so much more amazing. Could not recommend this more to anyone in surrounding areas or visiting! Got to see some fun animals including mountain goats and prairie dogs or what we like to call p-dogs! 10/10 so much fun and would recommend Eli to anyone!

Incredible introduction to the Via Ferrata experience with picturesque views of Banff town and the entire valley. The guides are extremely nice and supportive if you’re nervous. Would do again but bring a rain jacket just to safe!
Sheridan_S, Jun 2024
Well worth the amount paid. It was a great intro to rock climbing! Our tour guide was very patient and we were not rushed though the experience at all. The guide even stopped every once in awhile to take action pictures of us!
Greg_T, Oct 2023
Our guide was terrific. We had great weather and enjoyed the day immensely. Definitely recommend doing this day trip.

My daughter and I were a little nervous at first and didn't know what to expect. Luckily,Ben was our expert guide and he had a very calm manner. We followed his lead and listened to his engaging chit chat as we traversed the rock ledge and got a great experience without being overwhelmed! We crossed a suspension bridge and then did some climbs and felt very safe- in fact, we didn't want to take off the harness after a while!
