We very much enjoyed our riding experience. Our original trip was changed due to weather (totally understandable), we're grateful they were still riding despite the cold and snow that day. Our guides were kind and helpful, the scenery was beautiful and the horses were lovely. We hope to come back and do the real river ride in warmer weather!

Beautiful ride in and around the Fairmont Banff property! The guides were friendly and knowledgeable!
Great way to spend an hour!

I was a novice rider and the guides were amazing, everything was explained patiently (including your horses quirks) and the scenery was magnificent. The horses were well trained and perfect for first time riders.

Such a cool experience! Very beginner friendly, it was so cool going through forests and rivers in Banff. The staff were amazing! Would 100% do it again.

I have done it before I love it, but this time my horse just did not want to do the trek so it made my ride more like work and other issues with the horse behind him nipping his behind because he was too slow. Lols. Not as relaxed on this occassion as I wanted to be.
My husband enjoyed it a ton and loved his horse.

Hi, thank you for riding with us again and for sharing your honest feedback. We truly appreciate returning guests like you!
It sounds like your horse may have been having one of those “off” days. Just like people, horses can have good days and not so good days, and we’re sorry this affected how relaxed your ride felt.
We’re very glad to hear your husband had a fantastic time and loved his horse. That’s always wonderful to know.
If you join us again in the future, please don’t hesitate to let our team know during the ride if anything feels uncomfortable. We’re always happy to make adjustments when possible so everyone can have the calm, enjoyable experience they’re hoping for.

Awesome experience our two guides were very kind and helped us out because we had no experience riding horses. I had a horse named Edward and my husband had Schinook. Wonderful time going across the spray river. Definitely do it again.

The ladies that took us out were very friendly, punctual, and made us laugh. They allowed time to look and learn, while also enjoying the horses.
Mark_L, Aug 2025
This was a very enjoyable experience and well worth the money. Abbey and Kayler were very professional and patient. Kayler probably needed some throat medicine after the trip. Crossing the two rivers on horseback was very special

It was the worst don’t recommend this website .we arrived 6 min late cause the gps was working they wouldn’t allow us on the horse the kids got mad
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Hi,
We’re very sorry to hear this happened and that your children were upset. We understand how disappointing that must have felt after planning the outing.
We do have a strict late arrival policy, as trail rides depart as a group and guides cannot leave riders behind or delay the experience for others. For safety and scheduling reasons, once the ride has checked in and begun its departure process, we’re unfortunately unable to accommodate late arrivals. This policy is clearly stated in our booking confirmation and pre-arrival communications.
We truly regret that traffic and GPS issues impacted your timing and your overall experience!
mirjam_d, Aug 2025
Easy ride, you don’t need any experience. The river crossings are fun. Horses are (off course) “programmed”, they will just follow each other.
Christopher_H, Aug 2025
Great family fun riding horseback on the trails in Banff with a little bit of everything. Scenic views. Enjoyed the river crossings.
Nora_F, Aug 2025
We had a great time. The guides are very serious about doing their job well. The horses are very tame, some a bit old, they know what to do and where to go by heart. If you have no horse riding experience it requires quite a bit of paying attention at what goes on, nevertheless
Alex_F, Jul 2025
Wow- what an Amazing experience, with knowledgable and accommodating staff. Thank you for making our experience so great.
stephen_h, Jul 2025
A beautiful ride through the woodland and river. Great guides and wonderful horses. Would definitely recommend
Lori_S, Jul 2025
We loved how well taken care of the horses were. The attention to safety for the riders and horses was impeccable. Loved crossing the river.
Hailey_P, Jul 2025
This was a fun experience, however not exactly what we thought we were signing up for. The trail is within the town of Banff, so at times you are riding across or right next to roads. The guides were very helpful teaching us how to ride the horses. We wish we would have known to wear boots (lots of mud), bring bug spray, & have more detailed instructions on where to park. We ended up paying $45 to park for the experience. Overall, it was fun but we wished had some more information!
Claire_O, Jul 2025
We absolutely loved this. The scenery & ride was beautiful. The horses are well mannered and know their job well. Our guide was lovely, very chatty and friendly.
Jeremy_M, Jun 2025
Great experience with the team. First-time rider and an amazing time. Would definitely book through them again.
Erin_B, Jun 2025
What an amazing experience! We loved every moment of this excursion - from the sweet horses, to the funny and super-informative guides, to the gorgeous scenery. The two river crossings were a highlight. This experience made us want to try horseback riding on all of our future vacations!
Nadeen_N, Jun 2025
It's a proper trail ride with all horses staying in a line. Walking only. The guides were very knowledgeable and the horses were well trained.
Susan_D, Jun 2025
Ride was beautiful and fun. Only complaint was need more signage and better directions for arrival and parking. Overall really enjoyed the ride.
