What To Expect
Head to the Banff Gondola any time during its normal hours of operation to begin your ride. Climb inside a comfortable, modern, 4-person gondola cabin for the trip to the top of Sulphur Mountain. As your cabin ascends high above this mountain paradise, admire bird’s eye views of Banff’s alpine scenery and meandering rivers, arriving at the summit of Sulphur Mountain.
While on top, feel free to explore the boardwalk leading to Sanson’s Peak, a national historic site, or just sit back, relax and enjoy the view. After your allotted time at the top, simply grab your assigned gondola back down to the base of the mountain.

Great views! Very enjoyable! We had a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting here!
Unfortunately it was raining on our way up and we couldn’t see a thing! But the clouds cleared and the sun came out and the views gradually appeared. It was very well organised. The centre at the top is large and can accommodate a lot of people. No rush to come down which was good as we were able to wait for the skies to clear.
Beautiful views! This very crowded sight is run quite efficiently by Pursuit. Get there at least 15 minutes before your scheduled ride. If taking public transit- recommend- allow for extra time.
Great experience. A little scary riding the gondola because of my fear of heights, but so worth it. Views up top were incredible. Had a drink on the sky top patio and just relaxed. A great experience with my family. Boardwalks all easy to walk and take in the views. My entire family thought it was very cool (all young adults). Highly recommend.
Amazing view and wonderful food at the restaurant at the top of the mountain. They were very organized and parking was easy.highly recommend you try it!
For the price of the gondola tickets, it was very chaotic and rushed to take the gondola up and down. Unfortunately, we had very bad weather the day we went. Very cloudy, cold and rainy. The views were still quite spectacular but wish we could have seen them more clearly.

The ride up and down in the Gondola is smooth and well organized. The boardwalk is long and has about 400 steps to the top from where views are terrific!
Great view, line moves quickly and worth the money. Would 10/10 recommend to all visitors. Grab a cocktail at the top and enjoy the scenery.
It is a must do excursion. Easy to navigate the experience and views are like no other place to see the valley.

When you take the Gondola up Sulfur Mountain, there is a small lighthouse at the top which requires a bit more walking. Its an amazing view all around. Truly spectacular. But once you get to the lighthouse, you will be swarmed by little gnats. I have no idea how gnats exist that far up a mountain. They don't bite so don't be worried.

Its something one must do when in Banff. Views were great . Ran smoothly and the staff was helpful. Booking through Viator was cheaper but you have to wait in line to get the actual tickets to ride

We were running late but no issues.
We booked early and honestly, though the ticket says get there early for parking we didn't expect it to be that popular. Upon arrival you are directed by friendly staff, they help if you have no experience with the parking rules.
We had a voucher that had to be exchanged to a ticket and even though we were late, no problems.
There is food and drink upstairs, exhibitions, gift shops, the view is amazing, the gondola is safe and easy to use, the walk is built so you don't go off beaten path. It is quite a climb to the other top so leave yourself time if you want to enjoy the view.
The gondola ride was wonderful! The scenery was spectacular. We even saw a bear run across underneath our gondola!
Fantastic experience. Views were breathtaking. Restaurant food was excellent and the young staff were very friendly and well trained dealing with customers and advising on food and drink.
The ride is beautiful and the venue worth the trip up the mountain. We ate at the Bistro and experienced great service and food. This was an experience we'll never forget!

Wonderful experience. We sampled food in 5 different restaurants within the hotel along with paired drink. The food was excellent in each place. Very well run and orchestrated. Highly recommend. You do not leave hungry!!!
