Christos gives us a fantastic day with St. Paul

This is the first private tour we have taken & it was marvelous! Christos confirmed our pick-up time & location, sent a picture of himself & a description of his vehicle the morning of our tour. Upon starting our tour he asked us about ourselves & our interests & what we really wanted to learn/experience on our tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable, an excellent storyteller & brought the history to life - focusing on that in which we were interested. Unlike many pre-planned group tours we read about, no time was “wasted”. It was an amazing day! Christos taught us a great deal, we laughed a lot, we saw Athens in a way & with an insight we probably would have missed. We definitely recommend Christos as a guide!

Dear Mr. Maha, We are truly puzzled as to why you chose to book this tour with us. Throughout the day, you expressed that you did not wish to pay for the entrance fees to any archaeological site, and you declined to enter the Ancient Agora. We were also surprised to hear that you chose not to visit Mars Hill, telling the guide that it wasn’t anything special. Our guide made a continuous effort to explain the history and culture of Ancient Athens, especially the important role of Apostle Paul during his time in the city. As you may know, Paul delivered his famous speech on Mars Hill (Areopagus), addressing the Athenians about the “Unknown God” and offering a unique perspective on early Christianity. Yet, we noted that you seemed uninterested in this part of history, often comparing the sites to Egypt and claiming that the monuments there were larger and more impressive. Furthermore, we were quite disappointed to hear that our guide had to inform you that the tour did not include transportation to the outlet village, which is located 45 km outside of Athens for shopping. It seems there was some misunderstanding about the nature of the tour, as the main focus is on Athens and its historical landmarks, not shopping excursions. While we deeply respect your culture and history, it’s difficult to understand why you selected this particular tour if it didn’t align with your expectations or interests. We always strive to offer a meaningful and enriching experience to our guests, providing insights into both the ancient and Christian heritage of Athens, as well as the cultural context that shaped the city’s history. Disappointed with the tour

Although Costa's was friendly and helpful, we were disappointed that the tour did not include the sites that were advertised on Viator, such as Flairs Marina, Areopagus, and the Panathenic Stadium, plus 2 more that weren't important to us. We would have wished that the tour covered the sights that were advertised. Also, as English speakers we found it hard to understand his strong accent.

The duration of the tour was 4 hours, you didn't want to walk to the Acropolis, the ancient market, the Aeropagus, the Roman market, you didn't want to enter anywhere, you slept for 2 hours during the tour and suddenly you woke up and asked the driver to take you to dinner because you were hungry The funny thing is that you rated us because we didn't take you to the sites described by the tour, while you couldn't and didn't want to enter anywhere. During the whole tour you slept because of jet lag. 3 of the 5 members of the group had a physical condition problem and you asked the driver after the first stop not to visit the rest of the archaeological sites because they cannot walk but to do a driving tour. Our driver listened to your instructions and showed you the sites that were accessible by looking inside the car. A member of the group lost his shoes and was left without. and since he was without shoes, you asked us to go to the restaurant for food and back to the hotel.

Our guide Panos showed us a memorable afternoon in Athens. He shared much history about the city along with major events in the life of the Apostle Paul and the beginnings of Christianity. When he wasn’t providing interesting facts he was an enjoyable conversationalist. Half day tour packed a lot of site. Very much recommend.

It was awful, started off with wrong spot to catch hop on hop off bus, and bus letting us off at wrong place after asking several times where to get off for Vatican, so we were 1 1/2 miles from Vatican, needless to say we missed our tour. Went to office and we had to choose between Vatican or Colosseum so either way we lost money! Then we went on St Paul Footsteps and again we were told the wrong place to meet so we walked about a mile out of our way, thank goodness Michael stayed to get us. We only had 3 stops related to Paul, we had no cell service so when we were sent instructions to get Acropolis tickets we didn't know it till Micheal picked us up and of course we didn't get tickets so that was another thing we missed. We never had time to enjoy was always rushed, traffic was so heavy he started back to the ship early so he wouldn't be late for his next tour. WHAT ABOUT OURS!!! I'm pretty sure I'm done with Viator tours

If history is your thing...do not miss this excursion. Andreas, our driver, is very knowledgeable. We learned new things from him about the life of Paul. Before the tour we were now aware that Paul's mother is a Jew and his father is a Roman and he has a sister in Sicily.

Driver was nice but the coordinator last minute made it 10am pickup even though I requested for 8.30am. Did not cover all the sites as written in the program, and basically we were driven to places and were left on our own. Driver did tell us some history before or after we visited the sites.

However, I must point out that you never informed us that you have an afternoon flight and that your time is limited, with the result that you do not give yourself the necessary time to enjoy the tour. The previous day we contacted you and asked you if you had tickets for your entrance to the acropolis, you answered no. We have sent you a link to buy. to avoid queues but the only available time was 12:00 as the visit is only by appointment. We suggested that we visit the other attractions earlier and leave the Acropolis for the end, which needs most of the time since it is a world famous attraction. We suggested you to start at 10 and you agreed to give you time to include your visit to the Acropolis since the tickets you bought were at a time when the tour would have finished we showed flexibility to meet your needs and you blame us for it? We also took you to the airport to catch your flight, which obviously wasn't enough for you either.

Nice but disappointing

Driver was nice and the private car was nice. Only 2 spots where Paul visited. The other sights were Monasteries, one was free the other was not. Most of the tour was driving to the locations. Was disappointed in the cost over the actual tour cost that Viator charged for the tour. Over $100 more. I received the receipt from the tour company.

Before you make a reservation, you are given the necessary information about what the specific tour includes, because it is based on the life of the apostle Paul in Athens, we cannot add stops to increase your interest, you visited the Acropolis Parthenon, the Ancient Agora the Areos Pagus in these parts you preached the word of Christ The port and the church of the apostle Paul you visited the unique one. Byzantine church and we took you around Athens with a private Driver guide for 5 hours in a Black SUV. Your review is probably unfair and does not serve other visitors who want to share this experience.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history of Athens and the Apostle St. Paul. Was amazing to climbed the rock at the top of a hill where St. Paul preached, and to walk the Roman Agora and the Ancient Agora where St. Paul and many other important figures walked.
