Julia and translator Leo were amazing. We had lots of fun making food and Pisco sour, and just chatting away. We made ceviche, causa de pollo and fruit salad. It was a lot of food so go empty stomach!

Fabulous cooking and eating experience! We learned, we laughed, we made new friends. Marisa took time to explain all the details about the cooking and her daughter Maria was an excellent English translator. And the food…OMG so good 😋 Every dish tasted and looked great. This was art. Very glad we stumbled on Marisa and did a last minute booking. It’s one of the highlights of our trip.

We had a lovely afternoon with a small group of guests in a lovely, welcoming and very friendly family home. Marisa and her mum were knowledgeable and showed us all their techniques and secrets. It's been a great experience, with much fun, laughs and new skills aquired. We would recommend this and surely do it again!

It was a very fun afternoon of cooking and socializing with Mari and Marisa. We made ceviche, stuffed potatoes, desserts and pisco sours and learned alot about living in Arequipa. They were very welcoming and interesting hosts!

Wow! What a fabulous evening. Mari is a wonderful host. Learning to cook traditional dishes in her home was a real treat! I cannot say enough on how wonderful this experience was. The translator Fernando was also great, great conversation and company. The meals were delicious with fresh ingredients. I felt right at home in Mari's home. I highly recommend this class!

The cooking class was great, we had a hard time finding the place but as soon as we arrived we felt at home with Marisa. He treated us spectacularly and answered all the questions we could think of. He also advised us places and dishes to eat essential of Peruvian cuisine.

Marisa und Mari sind super sympathisch. Die Gerichte, die man zubereitet, sind typisch peruanisch, aber nicht schwer. So bleibt sich zu unterhalten. Auf Sauberkeit wird geachtet. Was man nicht schafft zu essen, kann man mitnehmen. Die Wohnung, in der der Kochkurs stattfindet, ist etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums, in einer ruhigen Gegend. Am besten man fährt mit dem Uber/Taxi hin (ungefähr 10 soles). Der Abend war wunderbar und das Essen super lecker. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Obwohl Marisa kein englisch spricht, hat ihre Tochter Mary hervorragend übersetzt. Wir waren nur zu zweit und hatten grossen Spass peruanische Gerichte zu kochen. Alle Lebensmittel waren frisch und von sehr guter Qualität. Wir konnten einiges über die peruanische Küche und über das Land Peru lernen. Es war ein sehr gelungener und lustiger Abend. Wir würden den Kurs sehr weiterempfehlen!

Es war ein wunderschöner Nachmittag mit Marisa und Mary (Mutter und Tochter). Meine Schwester und ich waren die einzigen Kochschülerinnen und haben die drei Stunden sehr genossen. Es wurden drei Gänge zubereitet, wobei wir uns gut unterhalten und einiges über die peruanische (Essens)kultur erfahren haben. Die Atmosphäre war herzlich und die Gerichte außerordentlich lecker. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns, dass es so persönlich war und sich für das Zubereiten Zeit gelassen wurde. Wenn ich könnte, würde ich nächste Woche sofort wieder bei Marisa kochen!!! Übrigens: die beiden vermieten auch über Airbnb.
