Overview
See where Arequipa got its namesake, the White City, on a small-group half-day tour to the Sillar Route. After an easy transfer from the city center, view the site’s ornately carved stone murals. Interesting for some. I found it boring. And uninspirimg. I guess we were looking for other types of tour guides.
The tour itself is really cool! The check-in and pickup felt disorganized and could be improved. Be prepared for MANY flies - bring lots of insect repellant! I wish the guide or driver had repellant for the bus/van because it became extremely filled with flies when they left the door and windows open during one of our walks. Lastly, one of the entrances was more than they advertised, which wasn't a big issue but threw me off guard because I had a limited amount of cash (the day before I left and I didn't want to withdraw more). Regardless was a cool tour and still recommend it, especially with the price tag.

Arrived five minutes before departure and waited half an hour. Contacted the operator twice before informing viator. No show!
We were asked to stand outside of our hotel to be picked up "soon" which ended up being 40 minutes later. We got into a van full of first language Spanish speakers having booked an English tour. While the sites were cool and we are happy that we went, we felt that after a long Spanish description the English descriptions that our guide provided were far less informative. Our guide lacked enthusiasm and did not seem interested in being our guide at all. The price was very reasonable but I would have rather paid more for a better experience.
This was a simple no fuss short tour, the canyon with the petroglyphs was a particular highlight for me.

Going through the Sillar route was amazing! And loved all the statues. Loved the queso helado although it was extra. Very good tour for the price and our tour guide Betsey was wonderful!
The statues and scenery were amazing, and the guide was very informative; make sure to take sunscreen & bug repellant.

Our guide was helpful and informative there are a few sculptures at the second mine as it is only a few people carrying on due to dust born diseases, hopefully tourism may be able to preserve more of this mountainous area
Not a bad way to kill a few hours in Arequipa but not a destination in itself. Guide was good but there is not much to comment on.
The second half of your was stellar! Guide was super friendly. I enjoyed. I would recommend wearing a mask for dust. It’s pretty brutal if not.

Great tour - well organised and relaxed! Awesome place to explore and be amazed. The hawkers at the sights are a little annoying but thats not the tour’s fault
I only gave this one star as it impossible to give zero. Bottom line paid for this tour but no one came to pick me up. Sent messages to operator but they have gone unanswered.
One nice walk of 600 meters, with petroglyphs at the end. Last stop was downright pathetic. Guide's English das very poor. Generally, do not recommend. On the plus side - easy logistics with hotel pick up

Our tour guide Alonso shared a lot of stories and history behind the city and the nearby volcanoes in both English and Spanish. I learned a lot from this trip.

The Sillar Route appears to be pretty unimpressive, and that would seem to be a problem regardless of tour operator. I signed up for a tour in English, but this tour was multilingual. I was the only customer who spoke English, so the operator spoke very little English during the tour. I don't blame him, and my bad that I don't speak Spanish, but I signed up for a tour in English, and the tour was a long, slow, uninteresting ride for me.

This is a great trip for those who are looking for something to do for a few hours. During this tour, we got to learn about the volcanic material that was used to build certain parts of Arequipa. Also, while driving we learned about the different volcanoes nearby. I would recommend this tour.
We visited two sites;the first we were shown how the sillar blocks were cut from their raw state. But most interesting to me was the walk in the dry petroglyph canyon. It was a relatively easy walk, and the highlight of the excursion.

Buen tour, interesante de ver y conocer. Culebrillas es lo que más merece la pena. El precio del tour está bien para lo que es.
En la ruta del sillar las estatuas son impresionantes un gran trabajo de los escultores y propicias para tomar fotos.
El cañón de culebrillas también muy bonito el camino accidentado recomiendo ir con zapatos especiales para caminar
