He did exactly as advertised and more.He taught me about photography,took me to best and unknown places to capture pictures.He did not dump meet at lunchtime but stayed with me.He provided excellent customer service. Juca is highly knowledgeable in the field of photography, archeology, AND the geology of Terceira. If you’re looking to make sure you get the best viewpoints and snapshots here on Terceira while getting a detailed understanding of the land upon which you stand, then you have to book this.

Juca was amazing! He knew all the hidden spots to take the best photos and was so accommodating the entire time. He is an excellent teacher. I know my photographs will improve because of the tips he shared. Juca shared island history with us so we learned a lot about Terceira, too. We finished the day with some great memories and photographs to remember them by. Huge hug from Michigan!

I've booked a lot of photo experiences while traveling overseas and I can say with certainty that my experience with our host Juca was unparalleled. We arrived in Terceira on a morning when the weather didn't look too great, but he adapted our plans on the fly instead of sticking to a prearranged schedule. He generously shared tips and tricks for how to take better photos on our iPhones as well as how to compose a photo and use color theory to make a subject pop. He clearly has a creative eye, and he also clearly takes his profession (and passion!) very seriously. Instead of relying on tried and true locations and angles, he's constantly looking for a fresh perspective, different/interesting sites, better lighting. All of nature is his studio, and I would recommend his tour to anyone without reservation. I cannot wait till the next time I visit and book with him again.

Juca gave us an unforgettable tour of the island. He was personable and shared many of his stories and favorite local spots. He brought us to places we would‘be never found on our own. By the end of the tour we were not only left with incredible photos, but the most authentic memories! We will always consider Juca a friend and will never forget the time we had on Terceira. The best tour we’ve ever done by a long shot!!!
