I had a truly wonderful day touring Terceira! Juca, my tour guide, was absolutely delightful, friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the island. He took the time to show me some of the most beautiful and scenic spots, and I never felt rushed. We also enjoyed a fantastic lunch at a local restaurant, where the food was delicious, especially the tomato soup, which I absolutely loved. It was a memorable and personalized experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Jaca our guide was fantastic! He took us to all the beautiful places on the island and tailored our private tour to what we wanted to see and even took us to one of the best restaurants in the Azores so we could eat authentic foods. If you are looking for the perfect day trip we highly recommend this tour

would like to highly recommend Juca Azores Expeditions for a whirlwind 2-day tour of the island of Terceira! I booked the island Highlights Tour and the Archaeological Tour. Juca was extremely personable, flexible, honest, and very knowledgeable of his subject matter. We joked and had a lot of fun seeing wonderful landscapes, learning so much about the history, culture, archeology, and ways of life of the people of Terceira! We enjoyed our lunches, learning about each other's family. Felt like l had known him a very long time! The lunches were set in two different parts of the island. One place was a large family owned restaurant that focused more on traditional meat dishes (delicious). The other restaurant was a very small family owned one that was located in a seaside village that had the most delicious fish dishes. It was very well planned for me to get a taste of both realities!
To top it off, Juca is a very resourceful and creative photographer! We had a lot in common as I, too, am a photography buff! He picked the right spots and was very creative with his shots. I enjoyed learning from him!
All in all, it was a very wonderful experience ✨️ Stellar! I highly recommend Juca!

Juca was an incredible guide ! He is a wonderful story teller and full of a ton of information about the island and many other parts of Portugal. Because Juca is so knowledgeable he is really able to tailor the tour to what you want and to the weather of the day. He also has a great eye for photography so was great at taking photos of me and also helping me frame the pictures I was trying to capture of the various incredible landscapes.
I was travelling alone and I felt 100% comfortable for our entire day. I only had one day on the island so this tour was perfect for me to see the highlights.

This was more than just your average tour. Juca made sure we fell in love with Terceira because of his incredibly sincere and passionate way of sharing his love for nature, photography, and archaeology. My wife and I had a memorable time hiking on beautiful trails, visiting local hidden gems, and learning so much Portuguese history and culture. We loved our first experience so much that we ended up booking a second one the day after. He even offered us a ride to the airport! Juca and Marisa will welcome you with open arms as long as you understand the value of diversity, inclusion, and respect of the nature and culture from the amazing azorean people.
