Dogs are very well cared for & happy!
Rohn was very kind and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all our many questions of the history etc. He really loves his dogs and dog mushing. They are a sweet little family and the property / tour was easy to drive to & a beautiful area

Great Experience. Saw the sled dogs, got to interact with them and take them for a walk. Met the handler and the owner.
I valled as I could not access the location. The activity never told me the.location was off-road. No one called back. Could no do the activity and just had to pay.
Very educational, learned a lot about the racing experience and training. Dogs were so friendly and got to play with puppies:) Do wear bug spray for the walk though as we encountered a lot of mosquitoes.
Rohn was passionate about his dogs and sledding, he has completed in many sledding events as well as the Alaskan the Iditarod.
It was well worth the cost to spend time at his kennel.
This was such a fun & informative experience! If you are a dog lover this is a must & even if you aren’t, it was so great to learn about the dogs & how they are trained to become sled dogs.

Great introduction to sled dogs! Rohn was a great tour guide and full of information. Got to take a walk with the dogs and had all of our questions answered. Got some quality time with the puppies as well. Great activity if you’re looking for a real piece of Alaska. Highly recommended!!
We really enjoyed our time at Susitna Sled Dog. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all our questions about raising and racing dog sleds. The off-leash walk through the woods with 7 of their 55 dogs was so much fun. We also got a lot of time to walk through and pet all the adult dogs. Then we got to meet the three-day-old puppies! As advertised, the dogs will jump up to meet you but they are gentle and just love attention.
We LOVED getting to meet all the dogs and going on a walk with them. We got to see them follow commands and how they all spread out yet come right back to the leader. They explained so much to us about the make up of the sled teams how the dogs are trained and even showed us the sled and all the equipment used. Our children got to play with the dogs and pet so many of them. They were all happy and friendly as can be. We would highly recommend this experience to any animal lover out there. Our hosts were very gracious and allowed us to see their property ask all the questions we wanted and to get a much butter understanding of the dog sled world.
We had a fun time learning about and playing with the dogs. And seeing how fast they run! Thank you so much.
