I never thought I would ever be able to drive my own team of sled dogs through the mud in beautiful Alaska. The guides were so passionate about their work. I learned so many things about the Iditarod. I even got to snuggle puppies!

This was a great hands-on activity. Our guide was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun! The dogs are very friendly, and you can tell, they are well loved by the staff. I would highly recommend this tour if in the area!

Awesome experience and a lot of fun. Highly recommend. We spent time learning about the Iditarod, playing with the dogs, young and old, and mushed with 4 lead dogs, including 2 Iditarod winners.

Great experience and way to see all the work that goes into getting the dogs prepared for racing. It was nice to see how well the dogs are cared for!

This was such a unique and memorable tour - I am so glad we did this one. The dogs were a pure joy to meet, so friendly and well trained. Our guide was super knowledgeable and friendly, and answered all of our questions. Mushing with the dogs was super fun. And the puppies were amazing... you wanted to take them all home!

Great experience start to finish. We learned so much and had the excitement of driving a two person rig. Seeing reindeer was the icing on the cake. Well worth the time and money. They have this tour down to a science. It is small so that everyone gets a wonderful interaction with the dogs and has a safe mush run.

Great experience....Learned about the Ididerod, Dallas Seavey and the wonderful dogs, even got to play with the pups.. It was fun and a little bit challenging on the three mile Sled dog trail..If you can't try this on snow, this is a perfect alternative..
Response from Host, Jul 2025
It gives you a little look into what the mushers experience on their 1049-mile trek.

Such an amazing experience. Would 100% recommend. Staff were great, nice long 45 min drive with the dogs after a tour of the kennel. Got to hold puppies. A memory I’m grateful to have.

Awesome experience. Played with dogs. Drove dogs. Feed reindeer. Learned about the Iditarod race. Great people and great experience.
Pam_K, Aug 2024
This was the quintessential Alaskan experience. It started with an introduction to the dogs in the kennel and the history of the Iditarod (the owner is a past winner!). Then we jumped in our carts for ride through the forest being pulled by 4 dogs each. One person sits and the other person guides, steers and stops the dogs. You can trade off during one of the breaks. It ended with a visit to see the new puppies! If you need a "dog fix" this is your adventure!

THanks for joining.

So much fun and educational! The dogs were all friendly and well cared for and eager to have visitors and clearly knew their job and wanted to do it and go faster than we let them! This operation is top notch and owner/operator is 6X Iditarod Champion Dallas Seavey. Exceeded our expectations all around. Team was knowledgeable and many of the dogs we met and who were on our teams are also Iditarod Champions - famous dogs!!!
Burke_N, Jun 2024
Loved learning about the dogs. Being able to mush our own team was thrilling. We even got to hold puppy’s!

We experienced a lot of great stuff during our Alaska vacation, but nothing was as good as mushing our own dog sled team. What an incredible experience to get to work and play with so many Iditarod champion athletes! Playing with the puppies was a bonus. Definitely make this part of your trip!

We learned about a sport that was alien to us and about skills and a culture that are fascinating. We would love to learn more about the Indigenous history of dog sledding as both sport and part of a subsistence culture/life.
