Overview

Great heli hiking excursion

Our guide, Tom, and pilot, Shane, did a great job. The hike was fun, but it would have been hard to do 3 hours up there - though certainly could. But the terrain and views stayed the same, so there was a yearning to see more. Tom to the rescue. He arranged to have the return helicopter do a landing on the glacier - right next to a glacial lake. It was awesome. I suggest consideration be given to modifying the tour to always include the extra stop. After that landing Shane gave us a great trip back and with his eagle eye pointed out moose, bears and other wildlife. They are just little dots, but cool to see. Great trip and highly recommended.

Wonderful flight out to Grasshopper Ridge and back, and awesome guide Corey! Guide was very considerate, polite, and informative. Tour was as advertised: tailored to your liking. I am not super physically fit but made it just fine. The flight itself is super scenic and the hike is fun and not too taxing. We hiked up and down the ridge by walking on moose paths, and got to see “watermelon snow”, a ptarmigan, and hear the rumbling of moving glacier.
