Dead fun

This tour was so much fun. I've spent a fair amount of time in Quebec City, but I've never experienced it this way before. We were met by our guide, in full costume and character, and were treated to stories of notable crimes in New France and the punishments criminals have faced over the city's history. Our guide was so animated, he especially made sure the kids on the tour were engaged, and really brought the stories to life. The fact that it happened to be a dark and stormy night when we did the tour only added to the experience. Do yourself a favour and book this tour!

Top Notch Food Tour

Wonderful tour! Our guide, Pierre, was interesting, informative and enjoyable to listen to. We went to four restaurants, each completely different. The courses started with the lightest, and the tour finished with a heavier, more substantial meal. The food was excellent and served with wine. No need for dinner that evening. The restaurants were interesting and architecturally diverse. Great adventure, especially for foodies!

This is a great way to not only learn about the history of Old Quebec, it also helps you get oriented to layout from lower to upper, with a cool Funiculaire ride to save the uphill walk! Sam was a fantastic host/guide, who really knew his way around town, offering up dining and sightseeing recommendations to the group. Highly recommend to new visitors to this beautiful city!

The Goats make hiking fun. Francois, the owner, provided nature education along the way. The drop off site was a bit confusing. There is a small paved lot on your right that faces a metal fence and pasture. Park there until Francois arrives. If you’re getting dropped off by taxi or Uber, wait on the paved lot and Francois will be there (we arrived way early). Frankie, the white goat, took us for a lovely walk in the forest.

The best way to see the island.

Since it was a private tour, our wonderful guide Isabelle gave us various options and let us pick the itinerary. We chose the cider works, three wineries, and the black currant works. It was great to learn about the local products. We had plenty of time to sample and also grab lunch at one of the wineries. It was well worth it, and given what we heard about one of the group tours having a private guide is the way to go. You see and do so much more.

This bus tour is a good complement to the St. Lawrence Riverboat Cruise

Our warm driver/guide Adele was fluent in French and English. She and the rest of the passengers were very understanding when I misjudged the time to return from Montmorency Falls due to my son's mobility issues. We were 5 minutes late! I took the St. Lawrence Riverboat Cruise the day prior. It was nice to see the Falls close up on this tour bus and see "New Quebec" area, as well as the old.

Totally worthwhile

The tour was guided and organized incredibly well. Purchasing through Viator meant that the trip included hotel transfers (in private cars) and the main activities were already included, which was great. Our guide was extremely helpful and caring. Activity tips: I enjoyed walking around Toronto on my own rather than doing the expensive optional activities (CN Tower & aquarium), but watching the fireworks from the tower at Niagara Falls was neat. I would recommend their day/night pass that allows you to go up during the daylight and again later to see the falls lit up. For lunch on the first day we stopped at a buffet that was much better than its surroundings suggested (a mostly empty strip mall). I brought a lunch with me though and saved the $36 charge. A fast food joint is the only other option.

This was an absolute highlight of our time in Quebec. We did this as an anniversary treat and we were so glad we splurged a bit. Pierre was our guide and he was wonderful. Perfect first day tour outside if Quebec City

What a fun morning! This was a great way to start our short little trip to Quebec City. Naima was a perfect guide. She talked in French with my brother when he wanted and English with the rest. We learned so much about the Basilica and Montmorency Falls. She was on time and was so knowledgeable. Her driving was great and she conversed with our teenage kids as well. It was great to have a private 4-hour tour of Quebec City. Our guide was very knowledgeable and showed us many things we would have missed without this experience. We customized our tour and visited Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. Oh my word - such a beautiful basilica - reminded me of European churches. Don't miss this gem when visiting. We have found hiring the private guide gives us flexibility to go at our pace and go places that the larger tours don't go. I highly recommend this tour.
