Goat hiking! —a unique, charming experience

Oh my goodness! This adventure was so much fun, unique and informative. Francois, the goat owner and hike leader, was very warm and engaging. His dog Luna, was also a wonder, keeping goats and hikers cohesive! The goats made great walking companions and each had a distinct personality. The beaver dam was very interesting, and the pond waters crystalline blue. Beautiful. And the lunch Francois provided was delicious. The strawberries were from his garden, and were as sweet as could be. Highly recommend this experience!

Great Food Tour

Sam took us to some out of the way places on a great food tour. It was a busy day in Quebec City with a bicycle race and closed off streets but we caught up with the tour on the first and best stop of the tour. He navigated around the traffic and the out of the way places got us away from the crowds. The food was all delicious and the drink package allowed us to taste some beverages too. We normally take food tours on every trip and this was one of the best!

We very much enjoyed our ride out to the falls led by our charming and competent guide Helene. The falls were spectacular, especially from the viewpoint at the base of the stairs. If you don’t wish to get wet there is an option to avoid that section. We were tired but feeling fulfilled by the end of our tour.

Our guide Daniele was friendly and knowledgeable. Every food stop was amazing from the panzanella with wine to l’oignon gratinée with beer and flambée shrimp with wine and finally the wonderful Guinea fowl with puréed chokecherries and white chocolate mousse.

Fantastic Tour

Dan was out tour guide and provided an excellent mix of commentary regarding both historical and contemporary Quebec City mixed with some wry humor. This small bus tour was 10 times better than the large bus tour we took in Montreal. Highly recommended especially for someone on a tight schedule or with a limited amount of port time on a cruise.

The tour is well...

The tour is well organized so that most of the walking is on level ground or downhill. However, it does end in the lower town which requires a funicular ride (cash only, CAD; ATM on site charges almost $9 CAD fee), a walk up a lot of stairs, or an Uber/taxi ride to the upper town. I don't know if there is public transit. Our guide, Carmen, is a high school history teacher and offered a concise, animated account of the city's history. She was delighted to answer questions and offered a warm welcome to out-of-town visitors.

Great city, great tour!

Saw a lot and learned so much about the city and its history. Our guide, Marie, was fabulous with an amazing amount of knowledge (she's a Quebec native!) and coupled that with a great sense of humor. She was able to answer all of our questions as well as giving us insight that could only come from someone who grew up there. She was even able to navigate us around the Grand Prix bicycle race that was roaring through the city, an exciting side adventure we didn't even know about in advance. You need to be a good walker to navigate some cobblestone streets and lots of hills -- otherwise you might feel disappointed. But it's a great tour and Quebec is a beautiful city to visit.

Today our group of 5 did a 4 hour with Stephane. Starting at the Basilica of St. Anne’s, we proceeded to Orleans Island for a fantastic day in Quebec. Ice cream, chocolate, maple syrup, the sweetest strawberries, and fantastic local IPA mixed with regional history made our day one to remember. The highlight of our cruise vacation so far, and another great Viator excursion. Highly recommend this private tour.

Isle D’Orleans

This is a very relaxed overview of L’isle D’Orleans. We had Luc as our guide and driver. He was very warm, professional, and pleasant. He gave a nice history of the area and gave us plenty of time at each stop. He was also extremely accommodating for my husband. My husband struggles with walking and Luc made sure we got parking very close to each stop. The stops were varied so you get a good chance to explore different things on the island. We had a little bit of extra time so he took us up to see the Plains of Abraham. My husband absolutely loved the ice cream at the chocolate store. He said it was the best he ever tasted. I enjoyed the winery overlooking the vineyards and Montmorency Falls. Wine tasting at both wineries was just ok. However, I was not expecting excellent wines since this not wine country. I would suggest that the red wines are better. The company was also good about picking us up directly at the cruise port and adjusted our time to better fit our ship’s schedule. I would definitely recommend this tour once you have had an opportunity to explore Quebec City itself. I have been to Quebec City and Montmorency Falls before so was looking to seeing something different.

Five Courses of Fabulous Food and Fun!!!

Fabulous! Thiis is the first time we signed up for a food tour anywhere, and we did it because the menu looked great for both of us. It was the perfect mix of walking enhanced by our Quebecer tour guide, Marie’s, local history and cultural iinformation plus food and refreshment breaks. Every food course was fantastic! Most people in our group, including us, made reservations again at some of the restauants. We would have gone back to all of them if we’d had time. This was definitely the BEST way to experience the culture and history plus eat your way through Old Quebec!

Patrica was simply amazing, very personable and down to earth. We got to experience a wide range of the Canadian, breakfast, lunch and dessert. Her restaurant selection were perfect, and we revisited a couple of them on our own. We were stuffed by the end of the tour, but in a good way. Highly recommend even if your not a Foodie.
