At your appointed time, meet your vessel at the edge of the St. Lawrence River. Climb aboard the Louis Jolliet, named after the French-Canadian explorer. Choose from a range of seating areas, and admire views from the water's edge.
Set off to admire sights including the historic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac hotel, one of Canada’s most storied hotels.
Next, continue just beyond the city to view Montmorency Falls, a thundering 272-foot (83-meter) waterfall that's even higher than Niagara Falls.
Then, continue to the historical island borough of Île d’Orléans, which offers picturesque countryside scenery.
As you go, learn about the history of Québec City, the St. Lawrence River and the aforementioned points of interest from your costumed guide, dressed as Louis Jolliet himself.
A variety of beverages and snacks are available for purchase on board the boat. At the end of the tour, return to your original departure point and disembark the vessel.

- Boarding will start approximately 30 minutes before departure time. Boats depart on time, so please plan accordingly
- Live commentaries in French and English. An audio guide is available in Italian, Spanish, German, Mandarin, Japanese and Korean
- Cruises operate rain or shine, unless adverse weather conditions pose a safety risk to passengers. In the event of unfavourable weather, there's an enclosed area on the cruise boat
- For personal expenses, only credit card payments are accepted on board (cash not available)

Plenty of room on ship. Excellent narrator. Learned alot. Perfect way to see waterfall too! Little chilly mid September, bring coat and hat.

The view of the falls were great and looking at Old Quebec from the water was worth it.
A bit of a boring cruise down the river. You do not get very close to the waterfalls which is very disappointing. Not a lot else of interest along the route. I may have been generous with my 4 stars.
I think the trip by coach would be a better option for any one wanting to see the waterfall up close.
It's a short round trip tour on the St. LAWRENCE. You view the waterfall from a distance. The narrator was interesting, but if you're short on time, you can skip this one.
Food & beverages are available for purchase. Speaker provided a variety of information that was news to us.
The guide was good and it was nice to get off our feet for a few hours. Food and drink were available.
Be ready for a breeze! The weather was awesome and the guide was quite informative. Fun to view the city from the water.
This was a very well organized and interesting facts along the way. There was lots of information and a beautiful cruise.
Excellent 1.5 hour cruise on the St Lawrence River with a very informative and friendly commentary in French/English throughout. Some worthwhile views were the city skyline from the boat plus the Montmorency Falls.
It's a nice rest from walking and if you've been too busy to eat they do provide simple sandwiches for a price and, of course, drinks. Not as much to see as I thought though the ship was spacious. No crowding.

Wonderful way to see Quebec from the water. Cruising down to Montmorency Falls
Boat is large. In and outside seating. With food and beverage service. Great commentary by David
Nice boat tour wirh the guide speaking both French and English. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for the number of people we had on board. They had a bar and food venue. They didn't provide refills on our coffee order so didn't care for the $6 cup too much.
It was a nice, relaxing cruise, not too long. Nice views of city, waterfall. Good information. Would recommend.
The guide is very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions.
It can get really windy on the outer decks.

The tour guide was great at describing everything. Thankfully the weather was wonderful and the water was calm. We picked a perfect day since the Grand Prix Quebec Bicycle 2026 was in town.

It was a wonderful way to see Quebec from the St. Lawrence River. Staff was pleasant and professional. Amenities offered something for everyone.
A relaxing way to spend some time.
This hour and a half boat trip is a good way to get your bearings when you are new to Quebec city. The tour announcer had some interesting information about the history of the city. She also knew about certain geological characteristics of the maritime area.

Enjoyed seeing Quebec from the St Lawrence River. Our weather was not great (windy and a bit chilly), but the ride was fun and informative. Good introduction to the area.

Get to the ticket booth and line up early in order to get the best seats. On our tour it was a nice sunny day and we got a table on the prow of the boat. On wet or cool and windy days an inside seat may be more desirable.
The captain was Knowledgeable and spoke well about what we were seeing along with some interesting historical background. Although he did not take questions during his talk, he did walk around to each table to answer questions afterwards. There were drinks and basic snack foods available, at an extra cost, but the trip itself was well worth it.

Great experience you get to have a cocktail cruise the river and see the waterfall. We enjoyed there are seats inside if it is too cold.

The pace was good and we were able to see it all from our spot on the front outside deck. The announcements were a bit difficult to hear clearly, but were able to make out most of it. Of course it was in French first, then English.
