Loved it!

Great time! Even with inclement weather the views were spectacular and the sanctuary was heaven. Probably less busy because of the rain so we had close up experiences with out a lot of people. Our tour guide Russell was the best! He was informative, helpful and fun!

Excellent guide and tour

I thoroughly enjoyed the trip to the Great Ocean Road with the group and guide, Mr. Merlin. He was very knowledgeable, passionate and didn’t rush any of us. He made sure we got the notable experiences of Australia and his commentary was exceptional. The drive and minivan were excellent. It was a great trip and well worth the money. Totally recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore the Great Ocean Road in a day’s time.

Steve was great, but the bus had “opportunities…”

The stops were made on the way to the site were fun and entertaining and served to break up the long bus ride. Steve, our guide was funny, personable, and informative. Moreover, he knew some special locations where we could see koalas in the wild, which was a delight for all. I would have liked a little more info of the itinerary along the way, but there were ample bathroom breaks and Steve was considerate enough to ask if anyone gets motion sickness on winding roads. My partner was most pleased that he handed her a special precautionary bag which, thankfully, she did not need to use. The only area for improvement was that some of our cohorts received different pickup times that were more accurate as they booked directly with the tour company rather than through Viator. If the driver is at the end of his pickup run and 45 minutes after the advised pickup time, there should be some means of notifying us. Also, be advised that it was a full 38 person bus. Unfortunately, the charging outlets were not working, which was a bit of a disappointment. I’ll end by saying the “remaining” 8 or 9 apostles was well worth the long bus ride. The site is spectacular and I’m from a spectacular area of the planet.

Great Introduction to Victorian Wine

The pre-trip instructions were very clear. Jenny was an excellent guide. There was just the right balance of commentary on the trip out of Melbourne and her driving felt very safe along a very scenic route to the vineyards. She also organised the opportunity of a cheeseboard at the first vineyard which was a nice addition! The variety of the 3 vineyards was also interesting as they had very different characters.

Get out of Melbourne and do the road!

Loooong day but great tour. Totally worth it if like me you don't want to drive on the left. It really wasn't crowded at the sites, and I was grateful. Be prepared for wind! Also, we stopped to see koalas and kangaroos and even after 2.5 weeks in Australia, it did not disappoint. The road is truly beautiful.

Fantastic experience! I cannot speak highly enough! This was organised for my birthday. A group of friends from interstate visiting. The weather was very melbourne but it not cause any issues much to my delight! Our bus host Gilbert was especially fantastic! Very knowledgeable and friendly. I cant wait to do this again! Experience is as described, get to ride puffing billy and in its unique style. We had the fortune of being guided by David N - who to say love's his job is an understatement! He was highly enthusiastic (but let us rest on the drive!). He also drove up and down the route of the train journey to capture footage of us on the train from an outside perspective - was a lot of other visitors jealous of this!

Be patient! You’ll see plenty of tiny penguins walking the Penguin Highway .

It was a full day of activities. Just remember to dress appropriately for the high winds and cold breezes when visiting the Nobbies and waiting for the Penguin Parade. At Moonlight Sanctuary you’ll get the best opportunity to see the koalas, kangaroos, dingos, and Tasmanian devils up close. There was even a rare albino kangaroo. The views are spectacular in the Nobbies area.

Our pick up was a fuss...

Our pick up was a fuss free event with the amazing Alan who picked us up. The train ride was an absolutely wonderful with breathtaking views of the scenery. The locals get into it and wave as you go past them. It was such a memorable day that we glad we did. The walk in the rainforest was great as well. If you get Alan he made our trip fun and had so much knowledge and an awesome sense of humour

Go and do it!!

What an experience! Communication ahead of the day was great and clear. The crew were brilliant - fun but took your safety very seriously. Getting involved in setting up and taking down the balloon was very cool. The air balloon ride itself was magic - amazing to see the sunrise and also the city from above!
