Touring by bike gives you the agility to explore tucked-away sites, combined with the speed to cover more ground than walking. After meeting your guide, you’ll be fitted for a high-quality bike, helmet and safety vest. Take a practice spin around a quiet area before hitting the road. Melbourne is a very bike-friendly city with many well-marked bike paths; however, you may also ride on the street at times. Let your guide know your interests as they can customize the tour to suit the groups desires.

Extensive coverage of all the cities neighborhoods. Great way to familiarize layout of Melbourne. I am 6’3” with long legs so wished they could have provided a larger framed bike.

Melbourne has great bike routes throughout the city. Darcy brought us to many of the parks and sights of the city. Would have liked more time in Victoria Market and less time with colonization stops.

I’m sorry about the rare cancellation but as you know yours was a very late booking which came in just the day before… and I was out tour guiding at the time. It’s our busiest time of year… so we need a bit more than a day’s notice around Christmas as tours book out quickly.

A great day spent (nearly 5 hours in the end) with David Parker our guide 👍👍
He was very knowledgable, fun and and all round great man.
The tour is mostly flat so no need for e-bikes.
To understand Melbourne this tour is a must.

This was a great way to get a hands on look at the greater downtown Melbourne area. David was a great guide and fun to spend time with for the tour. My wife and I always try to do a bike tour when we travel around the world. This was a great tour.

We were only in Melbourne for one day so it was a great way to see the city. John, the tour guide was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable and kept to a steady pace. I would certainly recommend this tour.

We had a fabulous time on this tour. David was our guide and he was excellent. He had so much knowledge about so many subjects. When he found out someone in the group had an interest or background, he was able to point out things in Melbourne based on those interests. When he found out that my sister was interested in all sports, we went to the Australian football field and arena, then to the arena where they just played the Australian open. We also went to the sports arena where they played cricket. He took us to a fabulous cafe for our lunch stop (not included in the price). There was a mix up of some kind and they didn't have my sister or me signed up for the tour. I had a printed copy of the tickets and a digital copy. David just called his boss and took a picture of the digital copy and took the paper copy and we were off on the tour. There was no fuss or issue. I was nervous about biking in the city, but I felt safe and we had good bike paths or wide sidewalks for most of the tour. It was a great way to see the city!

Beware! The guide did not show up and incorrectly claimed Viator sent him a cancellation notice for our booking. Please avoid this tour operator.

As you know you booked then cancelled and rebooked for a different nearby date and we didn’t realize they were separate bookings. We just thought you had cancelled. It is the first time this has happened in more than 20 years and thousands of five star tours. You received a quick and full refund and a personal apology and explanation of the misunderstanding from me. I also sent you a screenshot of the Viator cancellation notice which we received and acted upon. I’m very sorry this happened and that you missed out on doing our tour which has been named in the top 10% of tours worldwide by Trip Advisor customers.
I would suggest communicating directly with the tour operator in future if you change your plans or dates, to reduce the risk of misunderstanding.

The cruise ship was late and I didn’t know how to contact the provider- when I got to the bike shop (designated meeting point) thinking maybe I could catch up with them or even Just take the bike out to explore on my own - the place was locked up!

For future reference you need to click on the big "Manage booking" button in the booking confirmation email you received from Viator. There you'll find multiple ways to contact a tour provider... a simple Viator "form" messaging service... as well as links to the provider's phone... in my case inviting you to phone, text or WhatsApp me.

Great tour of the downtown core. Saw lots and the guide, Peter, was very knowledgeable about the city. Only issue we had was it was too hot and there should have been more breaks and the pace should have been slowed down to accommodate the people that were struggling. Overall a good experience.

We loved this tour! It took about 5 hours in total because we had a little bit larger group. It provided a great overview and introduction to Melbourne. There was a great mix of sites to see and historical information. The bikes were easy to use and the hills were few and moderate. Peter is a great guide, very knowledgeable and balanced a good amount of riding with just right amount of conversation. Make sure to eat a good breakfast. Our tour began at 10am and we didn’t eat lunch until 2:30pm. Loved Brunetti’s stop for gelato and pastries! Highly recommend this tour!!
