We absolutely loved our MCG tour and Sports Museum experience. Our guide Carol was lovely and very knowledgeable. The Shane Warne exhibition was an emotional experience. Highly recommended for sports fans and tourists who want to learn about a huge part of Australian culture. We loved that we got to go behind-the-scenes and see parts of the MCG we normally wouldn't have access to. Would definitely do it again!

Nothing more needed. Bryan our guide was very relatable and pleasant. Oh the service in the food shop was abysmal. The person who served us had no idea what she was doing. Not even able to get the pie from the display cabinet without checking with two others. Took forever making us late

A must do for a sporting enthusiast if visiting Melbourne. AFL history influenced. A bit of cricket history.

This is unbelievable and worth every cent and coming from Perth was an experience myself and my kids won't forget

A great way to spend 2 hours approximately.

Super friendly staff and tour guide. I don't know much about cricket but I still really enjoyed it. The Australia sports museum is well worth incuding too, great Olympics history and many other sports. Walking on edge of the field grass was cool along with seeing home and away dressing rooms and members dining areas.

A great tour led by a very knowledgeable and congenial Bryan Kenneally, ex Melbourne Football Club and VFL State player from the 1960's. Bryan made the tour a very enjoyable experience.

    Amazing tour.

Very interesting, only problem with our day was that some players were using the changing rooms so we couldn't go downstairs. Thanks to Jeff for a great few hours

Nice balance great behind the scenes experience

    Tricia_E, Dec 2025
This tour is very well run and curated to include the behind the scenes of on iconic ground. I loved every minute of this tour. The museum is worth a visit please allow time either before or after and 30 minutes is not enough if you are a sports fan. If you get to watch a game of footy or cricket after you do the tour you will appreciate the tour even more

    Wonderful experience

It was a fabulous experience to be in MCG and know more of cricket. Also great to watch the Shane warne exhibition which was a plus.

Interesting couple of hours on a tour of MCG and the Australian sports museum - unable to see the changing rooms as getting ready for the boxing day play. Worth a visit, easy walk from flinders street station.

Underwhelming experience, do not buy tickets to the Australian Sports Museum

    Sneh_S, Dec 2025
I was looking forward to the MCG tour quite a lot, but was underwhelmed by the end. The listing asks you to meet at Brunton Avenue, but you are supposed to start from Gate 3 of the Ground. The tour guide we got was just starting out her professional journey and was nervous, however she tried her best. The challenge was the tour structure, it tried to take you to quite a few places inside the stadium without letting you spend time at the major attractions. We were very rudely asked to move along by another tour guide when we stopped to take a couple of pictures. The overall objective of the tour seems unclear, with undue focus on telling us really specific data points vs letting us experience the stadium grounds. The Australian Sports Museum is skippable completely. The much hyped Shane Warne exhibit is his kids talking about their dad.

A superb tour with a very knowledgable guide, and the staff were all smiles. You can access all areas and the museum and Warne exhibition were well laid out. Also saw the security and medical team in action when a family member had a medical issue. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Looking forward to returning for the Boxing Day Test.

Visiting from the USA and have little knowledge of cricket but we love sports. Enjoyed learning the history of the grounds and the game. Grand stadium! Beautifully displayed artifacts throughout the tour also tell the story of MCG.

    Best tour ever

Do not hesitate to book. I only know a little about both cricket and AFL but I enjoyed every minute. Everyone is so helpful and enthusiastic about the MCG it is infectious and seeing the ground still gives me a thrill every time I see it.

It was an amazing experience - I have no always wanted to go to the MCG - I finally made a trip to Melbourne last week and decided that I was going. It was very informative, I learnt a lot about the ground, the upkeep and the history. Michael (our guide) was brilliant! Knowledgeable and a fantastic guide! Loved the Australian sports museum. It was brilliant. Recommend for everyone to do.
