What are people saying about Perth

Great experience; highly recommend
Although there is quite a lot of time on a bus during the day, the trip was well worth it due to the variety of sites (Guilderton, Nilgen Natural Reserve, the migratory desert and the Pinnacles) we explored and learned about. The absolute highlight of the trip is the time in the Pinnacles desert. We arrived in time to explore independently until sunset, a time of magic as the shadows lengthen and draw long shapes on the sand. I came across a wallaby with a large joey pkking his nose out of her pouch while she ate the leaves from the native shrubs. She was not scred at all. Once the sun set (and it got very dak out in the desert) and other tourists exuted the park, we regrouped for the unique experience of a picnic with sparkling wine and strawberries and some stargazing in the desert, without the light pollution of a city that usually obscures the view. I saw places on this tour I would not otherwise have been easily able to access in my limited time in WA. Our guide, Annaliese, was unfailingly friendly, helpful and a font of knowledge about the flora, the environment and the constellations. We were fortunate to view Venus in its crescent phase through the large telescope Annaleise and Carolina (who guided the other bus) set up for us. It was a really special experience to have the peace of the park to ourselves while we enjoyed the picnic and gazed at the stars. I am very glad to have this experience; it was a highlight of my brief time in WA and everything ran very smoothly. Two things: I suggest going to the bathroom before going to the meeting point as there are no facilities available at The Criterion (it was closed when we met there at 1pm on a Saturday). Also, the bus was totally full, so while I recommend taking a jacket as it is very cold in the wind (which blew all day until around sunset!) and water, the bus can be cramped (it's full of people and there is no storage), so keep your day pack compact.

The day was good but it...
The day was good but it was marketed as wave rock, York and Aboriginal Cultural day. I was expecting an aboriginal person to speak with us, however the aboriginal cultural component was to stop at Mulkins cave which has aboriginal art on the cave walls and ceilings. There were signs with explanations about the cave art, so that was good, however our bus driver/guide simply said “read the signs if you are interested, I am not aboriginal so it is not my story to tell.” To market the day as “Wave rock, York, and Mulkins Cave" would have correctly described the experience.

A lovely experience
Really enjoyed this wine tour, the variation of wines we tried was really good and having snacks provided throughout the day made it even better. I bought 2 bottles and by some miracle I managed to get them back to the UK. Our tour guide was lovely and knowledgeable, sadly I can't remember her name but she's originally from Canada. I highly recommend booking this tour.

Our host Eli was so...
Our host Eli was so informative and passionate about the island’s wildlife, history and beaches! We were so lucky on our tour day to see whales migrating, dolphins, seals and osprey. We also saw an osprey nesting on the cliff top. Such a fabulous day! A big thank you to Cos our driver too!
