What are people saying about Dominican Republic

Best £20 I've ever spent!
This is the best £20 I've ever spent! What an action-packed morning. Bring an absorbant face covering and plenty of water to rinse out your hands/face as you will get very muddy! Great fun, and plenty time on the buggies. A lot of upselling so beware. Photo package is extortion too, but negotiable. Fabulous half-day out!!

Great excursion! Beware of iguana man on the beach
This experience was so fun! My partner and I were picked up at our resorts gate and taken right to the excursion sight. The guides were enthusiastic and comedic making the excursion entertaining. They were quick to help us when we had concerns about our buggies brake, and quickly swapped us out and got us back to our group. We stopped at the cave first and they took lots of pictures. The water felt so good after being in the heat for a bit. The local area by the cave had bad service so if you want to buy souvenirs/food, it’s best to bring cash (tourist prices for sure). Next, we got to the main area where they talked about the products they make. You can order drinks there and then they give you free samples of their coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and a shot of mamajuana. They also show you some other products they make (creams, moisturizers, cigars, etc). You can buy the products and they hold it for you at the check-in while you continue the tour. The last stop is the beach. There is also food and drinks for purchase there. Beach was very nice. The water felt good — not too hot or cold. Beware of the guy with the iguana tho…I told him multiple times that my partner and I did not want pictures and he insisted. Placed the iguana on my partner still and took my partners phone to start snapping pics (again we had still said no, but he was uncomfortably pushy). I let my partner take pictures and then eventually the guy added me in (even tho I still said no it’s ok) and snapped a couple pictures. After that, he tried charging my partner $100+ for the pictures!! My partner did not agree with the pricing, so he dropped it down to $80…but I still think it was ridiculous and I did not appreciate that he did that. Still had a very great experience tho!! And I bought the pictures for the entire tour for only a flare fee of $20 at the main check-in point. I had 38 pictures total but I probably could’ve had them take more of us :) def add this to your list of exclusions!

We did the Saona Island...
We did the Saona Island tour with Melvin and honestly, he was truly amazing! Everything went exactly as described in the itinerary. If they tell you they’re picking you up at a certain time, they will be there on time. Melvin was very organized, attentive and thoughtful with everyone in the group. The breakfast sandwich was good, and they also had juice and coffee available. But lunch honestly surprised me the most! It was absolutely amazing. I fell in love with the Dominican spaghetti and the chicken. They had other options as well but those were definitely my favorites. They also offered fruit and they set up a really nice table for everyone. Melvin himself was walking around making sure everyone had drinks and was taken care of. I’m sometimes picky with food so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but lunch ended up being such a great part of the experience. We had such a nice moment together. I also loved the timing of everything. We finished lunch and left around 1 PM for our next stop, right before the beach started getting more crowded. I honestly wasn’t sure how this tour was going to turn out, especially because we were doing it for my boyfriend’s birthday and I wanted everything to be perfect. And it truly was! Everything went so smoothly, and we had such a great time. 100% recommend this tour. Melvin was amazing, the experience was well organized, and I would definitely do it again! 🇩🇴❤️
