This trip is considered a full-day tour (usually). It is a 6-8 hour guided hike to the 2nd largest but hottest boiling lake in the world. The hike consists of a variety of different landscapes, rivers, hot springs, and fumaroles. At the end, a swim through the titou gorge is optional. It is a 5 - 10 minute swim through a beautifully carved slot canyon with a powerful waterfall at the end! The hike is considered relatively challenging.

Plant will be pointed out on this tour, any animals seen will be explained, history, culture and questions are welcomed. Half of this tour will be spent driving to and around this sites and all is accessible with no or little walking. We will view the twin Trafalgar waterfalls from a distance and the Sulphur springs. However, If you wish to do the trail to get closer to waterfalls, there is an additional 8usd fee to enter the national park. This is not included in the package because most people rather enjoy the view at the distance rather than doing the trail

Amazing Excursion

We had an amazing experience with Majestic Taxi and Tours in Dominica! Our tour took us to Trafalgar Falls and Titou Gorge, and the entire experience was absolutely incredible. Our tour guide, Bert, was AMAZING from start to finish. He was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and he really made the whole experience enjoyable. Bert went above and beyond for us. He brought us food, stayed with us while we were in the water, guided us through everything, and made sure we were comfortable and having a good time throughout the entire tour. You could genuinely tell that he cared about making sure we had a great experience. An Exceptional Day Exploring Dominica

This excursion was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. Lennard was attentive, informative, and genuinely caring throughout the day. He explained everything clearly, shared fascinating local knowledge, and took great care to make sure I had a fantastic experience. Everything on the itinerary was lovely—there honestly wasn’t a single stop I would have skipped. Lennard even managed to fit in a few extra places, which made the day feel especially personal and unhurried. What stood out most was how far he went to make the day special. As it was a Sunday and many restaurants were closed, he kept stopping so I could pick and eat fresh guava straight from the trees. He also suggested we could find something to eat back in town afterwards, but I had other arrangements and sadly had to decline. Lennard truly went out of his way to ensure I enjoyed every moment. I would very strongly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Dominica—especially if you want a knowledgeable, thoughtful guide and a memorable nature-focussed day beyond the standard tour.

The hike has three phases...

The hike has three phases and all three of them are quite distinct. Junior was my guide and he has good knowledge of the local flaura and fauna. He is a supportive guide and helped an italian lady who was also hiking with us throughout her journey. There was white out when we started our hike but it started getting clearer. The route is easy to follow although it gets tricky in some portions. Its strenous in some portions but getting back and dipping in the gorge helps. We also spotted a jacko parrot on our way back. If someone loves hiking they should definitely give this hike a try. :)

This tour was outstanding...

This tour was outstanding - we saw seven sperm whales and the captain was great. If you are a person that gets seasick, I would highly recommend taking the proper precautions. We had an individual get very sick on the tour. It was fine when the boat was moving, but when we were stopped looking for whales it was choppy.

The BEST experience!!!

This was amazing! It was a small boat of 8 people so everyone had a view of the ocean. We didn’t see any sperm whales because instead we saw Orcas (which scare away the sperm whales). They guide was really lovely and positive and took us out for well over 3 hours so we could get the full experience of the whales. We then celebrated with rum punch. 100% worth the money and would definitely do again!

Awesome day with DG Tours!

We had an awesome day with DG Tours and our guide, Philsbert. He picked us up at the cruise port and, over the next seven hours, gave us an incredible introduction to the island of Dominica. We made stops at Titou Gorge, Trafalgar Falls, Spanny Falls, and Mero Beach, among many other off-the-beaten-path places he showed us along the way. One day is nowhere near enough time to see this beautiful island, but Philsbert's tour was a great start! We highly recommend DG Tours.

This experience was allot of fun. The Whacky Rollers company did a fantastic job and made it fun for all of us. It was just the right length of time. The van ride to the river was good, allot to see. The company was quick to get us all on the river. The guides spent allot of time making sure everyone was having a good time. Ride back was just as good and we got dropped off in town next to the port. Went to "Pirates" afterwards for live music and drinks. This is my second time cruising through Dominica and Pirates is a great place to stop off after your excursion and have a few drinks.

Would book again!

This entire tour was amazing. Our driver was Earl and I can’t remember our guide’s name but they were both wonderful. We got plenty of time at each stop (gardens, champagne reef, the gorge and the hot springs.) Lunch was great and drinks were provided along the way. Guides were knowledgeable and provided assistance keeping everyone safe and able to enjoy each stop. Would book with the company again!
