This is a great way to see many of the top sights up close at night and learn about the history! Less crowds and cooler during hot summer too! You see a whole other side to this beautiful city and discover the energy of the evening in Rome! Highly recommend and would do during the first couple days of your stay in Rome to acclimate to the area. Dan was our guide and did a wonderful job taking us around and telling us new things we hadn’t heard on other tours.

This tour was very highly rated on the viator site. It was very appealing to have a nighttime tour through the city. Although the price tag was $300+ we went in with high hopes.
It started off well, the tour guide was on time and seemed friendly enough. As soon as we hopped in, a golf cart mind you, our driver started flying down the streets and highway as if we were in a regular car (we were strapped in backwards, where you would keep the golf clubs.
We had several major sites to see and outside of a few jokes and bits of basic information we were left on our own. Three hours of tour, no substantial information on anything, basically just a guy driving us to each while we pray for our lives and dropping us off in the parking lots saying “ok be back in 10 minutes”. Towards the end we were a little late coming back because we had to use the bathroom and he was absolutely leaving us there. We had to flag him down to pick us up before he hit the street. After the we just left in the middle of the tour, he said “ok sure”— making it seem like people seem to leave before it’s over. We paid close to $350 for this. Viator felt bad enough to give us a few bucks back. Once we reach back home we will post this on yelp, Google etc so other people don’t fall into this trap.
It was fantastic! Our drive was a treasure of knowledge and wellness to answer question and stop for pictures.
Matt was a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable about Rome and took his time showing us the sites. He was very personable and friendly and we never felt rushed during our stops. I would definitely recommend Matt to anyone looking for a fun and informative night.
The golf cart tour at night is a unique and wonderful way to experience the beautiful city of Rome.
Our group of seven thoroughly enjoyed the tour in September 2026. It was magical to see Rome’s iconic monuments beautifully illuminated at night, without the huge crowds of tourists.
Giulia was a fantastic guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient while we stopped to take numerous photos. She also took us to some wonderful, lesser-known spots where we enjoyed mesmerizing views of the Colosseum and the Vatican.
It was a memorable experience and a highlight of our trip to Rome. Highly recommend this activity!
We waited for over an hour, no one came to pick is up, the company claimed to have not received our booking yet I had tickets and they charged my account. I did receive a refund but lost an entire night in Rome. Book with any other company than Rome by night golf cart.

A fun ride through the city seeing the iconic sights illuminated. The tour guide gave us a lot of information & tidbits
Our driver was extremely friendly and very informative of all the stops and attractions. It was more than we expected.
Make sure you get a golf cart like the picture. We got one like a motorcycle one wheel in front. Very unsteady and not comfortable. Simon the guide didn’t have a microphone so it was hard to hear him.

This was such a wonderfully rich tour. Filled with so many interesting facts of this incredible city. We were able to fit so many locations and sights. We did it at night and the atmosphere of the night and the lights change the face of the city. Absolutely worth the price!!

Our guide Vito was great. Unfortunately the cart battery died and we didn’t get to finish the tour and had to walk back to our hotel. We had over 45 minutes left and seeing toe Colosseum at night.
Unfortunate and we should be given a refund to our tour, which wasn’t cheap

Incredible scenic night time views, and no crowds! Absolutely worth the time and money. Afterwards, Sarah, even took us to our hotel doorsteps to avoid a taxi fare. Wonderful time!
A wonderful way to view and learn about the city highlights in the open air vehicle, in the cooler temperatures of the evening. So comfortable, and the guides were very engaging.
What a nice way to end our 2 weeks in Italy. This was a great way to get to see Roma at night. Our guide was amazing and very informative of history and sights. I would recommend to anyone wanting to see the beautiful city at night.

Excellent tour. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to go to the underground due to changes made by the management of the Colosseum. That said, our top tour guide, Danielle was excellent and so knowledgeable in the area and answered all our questions. Wonderful tour.

The peaceful nature of this tour was absolutely incredible. We went at 9:30pm and the city was quiet. No crowds, no traffic, no noise. It was absolutely breathtaking at night.
*BEWARE - DO NOT BOOK* - Horrendous experience. Purchased tour 6 weeks in advance and the morning of the tour they said they would not pick me up at my specified location even though I tried to contact them several times to confirm with NO response and paid extra. Viator refused to help & the tour company refused to refund.

Sitting in the back of the cart, you could not hear the driver well. Complications with microphone. Need speakers in the back.
Driver was knowledgeable and experienced with the area. It was amazing learning all the facts and information on the highlights of Rome. Views were amazing at night. Gave us insight on where we would want to visit during the day.
Our guide, Matt, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and very professional. We saw so many amazing sites in a relatively short amount of time. Outstanding experience.
The night golf cart tour was a wonderful experience. Seeing Rome at night was just beautiful. Augusto was our guide and he was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly.
Sahar was our guide and she was fabulous. She was the only guide who yelled out our names so we knew who to go too. She was so informative, and answered so many of our questions. and went above and beyond. My DIL is a travel agent and I will be sharing Sahar’s name and this tour with her.
Hold on to ur hat it’s goes fast . No as many lights as you would think . But fun it’s a good thing to do at night but the traffic is still there
Driver could ask passengers to trade views partway thru the tour. We had to sit backwards 100%.😣😫😫
Alex was a very knowledgable guide. He gave a great overview of the city. I would certainly like to take a more in-depth tour.
