We got lucky that Silvia was our guide. It was such an amazing experience! She is one of the Rome treasure! She made us truly feel the history, it was emotional, funny and educating.

Need to know that the contact person with tickets will be outside the museum with a light blue flag.
Also bring your own ear phones to use Bluetooth. Tell people that before they leave home. This is very important. It is impossible to hear holding the phone to your ear.

We had an excellent guided tour at the Borghese Gallery,… better than expected because we thought we bought an expensive skip the line ticket within an audio guide, not able to buy any other kind of ticket online prior to our trip. We were five minutes late, connecting with our in person tour leader, because we did not know from the writeup that we actually had more than an audio listening device. Better written communication would have eliminated this little hiccup. The guide who provided the tour was excellent.

The guide was late 15 minutes, he was poorly organized. A few rooms were skipped by the guide who was also talking about unrelated topics during his presentation. He completed the tour 15 minutes earlier before the allocated time for 2 hours. Very little time was spent on the second floor in the Pinacoteca. All in all, the utterly unpleasant experience. We are repeated customers of Viator, but at this time we became fully frustrated and dissatisfied with the sloppy service.

What a great tour! While it was well over what you might pay if you got a ticket, we missed that window. We were so lucky to have Ivan as our guide who added SO MUCH more to our experience. Highly recommend this tour, he was extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful about how we made our way through the villa. Five stars!!

The entrance to the Galleria was smooth and coordinated. The headphone equipment worked perfectly and you could hear the guide easily.
The guide was a very knowledgeable art historian. My only complaint was that she was so in-depth that we lost interest more than once. For the typical tourist a little less info and more time at each point to look around the room.

Frederico was a wonderful tour guide! The Borghese is the lone tourist site on our trip that was not overly crowded because they limit the ticket and entry times. Our guide shared so much knowledge and insight into the works. It was an incredible museum, and we really appreciated the tour.

Very organized and thorough. I didn't like that we had to give our purses to the staff and couldn't take it inside but that's not Viator's fault. I did feel badly as I wanted to give the guide a tip and had no money with me. Anyway, the gallery was great, the tour guide gave us lots of information and I really enjoyed it very much.

Our guide was very easy to locate and so helpful. She made sure that we had downloaded our app correctly and showed us how to use it. She went over the map and then sent us to the museum. It was an amazing museum. You are given exactly two hours to explore before they ask you to leave. We finished in about one and a half hours. The only downside is that you have to struggle to see and read captions with the huge tour groups that don’t move as well as the small personalized tours. They monopolize the main sculptures so you can’t observe them yourself. Once finished with the tour, you are free to roam the property. It’s HUGE and very peaceful and beautiful. I’d visit again.

Sophia was tremendous. Absolutely incredible. I do feel bad for her because of the nasty woman that was paired with me. She was rude, stomping her high heel boots on the marble floors and cussing. She repeatedly walked away from us and not listening to the fabulous knowledge coming from our guide. I would listen to Sophia many more times.

I scheduled a private Borghese tour. I enjoyed all of my trip to Italy and the multiple cities I experienced, but the private Borghese tour will be something I remember the rest of my life. Unlike other sites, the Borghese limits how many people per hour can be there, so it will not be overcrowded, so I recommend anyone add it to their trip to Rome, but if you are fortunate enough to get the opportunity for a private tour, it is genuinely next level as we had a private guide answer our questions and give us a personal experience that I will always remember.
