Great trip to Myceane

This a great way to see the other part of Greece that is not islands. This country has so much to offer besides beaches and this tour let's you have an insight to this part.

We loved everything we managed to get to see but we felt so rushed. We definitely expected more from this tour for what we paid. We were given 45 to 60 minutes to complete each stop (a total of 3 stops), with just enough time in Nafplion to have lunch and return to Athens. We asked to go to the castle and were denied. We arrived back at our hotel a little over earlier than we expected from reading the itinerary of the tour.

However, we would like to respectfully clarify certain points regarding the schedule and execution of your tour. The total duration of the tour, as clearly stated in the program, is 8 hours. Approximately 2 hours are required for the drive to reach the destinations and archaeological sites, and another 2 hours are needed for the return journey. This leaves around 4 hours allocated for visits and scheduled stops. The official stops of the tour were the Corinth Canal, Mycenae, Epidaurus, and Nafplio. All of these stops were completed exactly as outlined in the itinerary, and you were given the appropriate and sufficient time at each location to enjoy your visit properly. More specifically, you spent 20 minutes at the Corinth Canal, and each archaeological site typically requires 45 minutes to 1 hour for a proper visit, which was provided. In Nafplio, you were given an additional hour beyond the standard schedule for lunch. Later, when you expressed the desire to visit the castle, as previously communicated, during the winter season archaeological sites close earlier. Due to the extended time already spent in Nafplio, the castle had unfortunately closed by the time you were ready to proceed there. Furthermore, according to the recorded schedule of the day, the total duration of your tour was 9.5 hours — 1.5 hours longer than the standard program. This clearly demonstrates that additional time and flexibility were provided beyond what was originally agreed. We always strive to accommodate our guests’ preferences and provide a flexible and enjoyable experience. At the same time, adjustments made during the tour naturally affect the overall timing, especially when seasonal operating hours apply. We were a bit short on time so we opted to skip Mycenae but enjoyed the other spots we toured especially Epidaurus.

Only was to see Corinth and Mycenae…

This was definitely an amazing way to see the ruins. Andreas was a fantastic, personable, extremely knowledgeable guide. We learned so much history along our tour. He was very accommodating, including stopping for sunscreen! His vehicle was clean and very well maintained. He was a safe and courteous driver. My daughter and I loved our experience and thank Andreas for a wonderful adventure.

Fantastic Sampling of Ancient Greece

A great full day tour of notable Greek landmarks. The Ampitheatre of Epidaurus and the Fortress of Palamidi in Nafplio alone would have been worth the price of admission. Our driver Chris was absolutely the best. He was informative and entertaining, providing historical background and tales of jealous Greek Gods behaving badly. Not an inexpensive tour, but well worth the time.

The pick up was right on time, the tour planned for the day was fine, and we had a fine lunch. The van we rode in was uncomfortable [lacked good, working shock absorbers, and the sliding door didn’t shut tight] and our driver did not share much historical information of what we were seeing at each site, unless prompted by us. We learned more from our own research than from our tour guide/driver.

We would like to add to your comment about the information you received from our guide that we typically mention that our guides are not official Tour Guides, they have knowledge, they can give you a lot of information, but they cannot replace an official Guide, that's why we give you the option to add official Guide services. You never applied to be an official guide, our driver has high reviews and we never have any problems . As for the vehicle and the concerns you expressed, let me inform you that it was a new Minivan(2021 model ) with all the latest features and the ability to transport up to 7 people. The fact that you were only 2 people may have caused you some problem in communicating with the driver but we do not accept your comments about its safety. Your transportation was done with a vehicle that exceeds the amount you paid for the excursion.

Andreas has a depth of knowledge and the ability to convey history in storyteller mode. The places we visited were fantastic and it was great to be able to see the places about which I have read. Mycenae was fantastic as was the Fort at Nafplio. The scenery is beautiful and the stories about the Greeks and the Persians came alive. Highly recommend!

Excellent trip, especially Mycenae

We had about 4 days to see the sites of Athens, so chose this road trip on the last day, a beautiful drive in the Peloponnese region! We were four people, picked up at the destination of our cruise, in a comfortable Mercedes van. We added the option of a licensed guide. We had a short stop at the Corinth canal on the way. Next, Mycenae is on a mountain and the agricultural scenery is so wonderful, and the site is spectacular and very interesting, it’s very different from any of the other archaeological sites we saw on our trip!!! Our guide was terrific, Senterous (sorry-spelling?) and Kristos was awesome as well, so kind and a very good driver. Our guide was very knowledgeable and quite detailed with his historical presentation. The tomb that is a couple minutes away was fantastic as well. Then, on to pretty coastal town of Nafplio where we wandered about just a bit and had a nice lunch to restore our energy, and we checked out the medieval castle above the city. Then it was on to Epidaurus and the sanctuary of Asclepius. The theater was the best part. This was a LOT to pack in on one day for sure! We were interested in the history so we dove in a bit deeper, which resulted in our trip being about 11 hours. (When you added in a bit of traffic, and our hotel was downtown, near the Ancient Agora. The guides did let us know we were on track for a longer trip.) If this would be too much for your group, the private tour does let you tailor your options. All in all, a very good outing!

My daughter and I had a fantastic day going on this tour! Highly recommend. Andreas was fabulous! He took us to ancient Corinth rather than Epidaurus and we loved it there, a great choice! Could have spent hours there, so much history! He picked out a wonderful place for us to have lunch in Nafplio. The whole day all the way around was a 10! Thank you Andreas for a memorable day!
