Get Ready for a Hike!
If you go in the summer heat, be prepared. Even at 9 am, the temperature was brutal. You will be climbing up and down Palatine Hill, the Roman Forum and the Colosseum steps are not easy. Our guide was great and tried to be sensitive to tour members who were clearly having some difficulties. Bring water, cooling towels and a fan. Our guide's comments revealed so much about each historical site and we enjoyed the visit in spite of the oppressive heat.

Felt a little rushed...
Felt a little rushed through the Forum, but our guide was very knowledgeable and provided some very interesting insights. The colosseum is amazing. Definitely worth doing when in Rome.

No guide for the Colosseum.
The tour of the Roman forum was very lengthy. Guide was not permitted into the Colosseum which was disappointing. We really wanted to experience the tour of the Colosseum and used Rick Steves when we entered. Overall the jump the line was worth it.

Really enjoyable tour! If you're choosing between this and others, pick this one!
This was really a great tour. It was very nice to skip the lines and our guide gave us clear instructions on what to expect every step of the way. She also told the story of the Roman Forum in a really neat way, putting you in the shoes of the ancient Romans through every class. They way she told the history of the colosseum was really nice, too. Even though it was sweltering hot and humid, I would definitely recommend this tour!

Great experience! Quick and informative! Great photo ops
Very nice private tour that prioritized the things you’re interested in — 1 hour was enough for us to learn the big things. Very knowledgeable on the history of the colosseum and the history of Rome!

Our guide was fantastic! So knowledgeable and articulate.
We had never been to Rome before, so it was really good for us to get such a great foundation of history.
Of course the Colosseum was amazing and it was eye opening to see how everything worked.

A MUST BOOK experience
I love that the tour operator was so knowledgeable and had great enthusiasm for his job. A beautiful excursion and experience. Would absolutely book again! Our tour also gave us an all access pass to colosseum which was amazing! Beautiful views

Scott was awesome! Definitely worth doing this tour
Scott was amazing! He was funny, engaging and definitely knew a lot about the Colosseum. We did the tour with our three teenage children, and they said this was our favorite experience in Italy!

Colossal Colosseum Tour!!
I highly suggest seeing the Colosseum with a knowledgeable tour guide like ours! The detailed history adds SO MUCH to being there! Kopal was so knowledgeable about the history and she included visuals of what the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Forum were actually like in their original state. It's well worth the time & expense--get up early and take the tour early, then go enjoy a well deserved Rome lunch & nap!! Ciao!
