An amazing and authentic experience! Our guide, Macedo, who lives in Rocinha, gave us a unique insight into everyday life in the favela, sharing his personal experiences and helping us understand the community beyond the usual tourist perspective. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about showing us his home with pride and honesty. One of the absolute highlights was the unique and truly WOW experience of riding scooters all the way from the bottom to the top of the favela! The scooter drivers were incredibly skilled, navigating the narrow, steep, and busy streets with amazing confidence and precision. It was an unforgettable adventure in itself! The tour was very interesting, eye-opening, and gave us a much deeper understanding of the local culture and people. The experience is wonderful through the jungle behind Rio de Janeiro. Make sure you bring a rain poncho and wear sturdy shoes. Eric, the English speaking guide was terrific and very knowledgeable. The driver was fantastic at stopping to see a monkey or sloth - he had a good eagle eye! Highly recommend to get behind the hustle and bustle of Rio and enjoy the tranquility of the rain forest.

Stunning and well organised

A brilliant way to see the best of the park. The first hike was honestly so beautiful and the rewarding view at the top was a highlight of my whole trip. The activity went well over 5 hours though, not sure if that’s because we had too much to fit in, or the group spent too long taking photos at each destination… but something to plan for in case you have something organised for the afternoon.

Fantastic day, and the right mix of activities. Great things to say about Gustavo, our tour guide. It was incredible how he jumped back-and-forth between Portuguese and English throughout the tour so that everyone could understand what he was saying. He is entertaining and a genuinely kind person. The lunch location was a bit crowded, and was buffet style. Loved this day in Rio de Janeiro and highly recommend it.

Best Seats in the House

The show, especially the 2nd half was entertaining and musically educational about all of Brazil. First rate dancing and singing all in a fun way. Great visuals. And the food isn’t bad either especially if you factor in the # of folks being fed. Our aviator tickets were in the front row and centered. They cost less thru aviator than I would’ve paid via our tour group too. Excellent job aviator.

Flying over Rio de Janeiro by helicopter was hands down one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Seeing the city from above is something words can barely describe, the views of the coastline, the mountains, and the city itself were simply breathtaking. Everything felt professional and safe from start to finish. The pilot was friendly, calm, and clearly very experienced, which made the whole experience even better. Taking off and soaring above such an iconic city gave me chills, it’s a totally different perspective of Rio that you just can’t get from the ground. If you’re in Rio and considering this experience, do it without hesitation. It’s worth every second and every cent. I would 100% do it again and recommend it to anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure!
