A local who knows

The standard itinerary included several places that we had already visited earlier in the week but Luis was happy to look at my list of desired stops and get us to each of them on a custom tour. We promptly emailed with me before I left for my trip, so we could iron out the details of our tour. He knows the island incredibly well, and also took us to his special places. He carefully maneuvered the challenging local roads, timing our arrival to avoid lines and crowds, for an absolutely terrific day. His recommendation for lunch was great and he even brought us to a small shop in his hometown for an afternoon mango gelato and smoothie. Go with a local who knows. Spend your day with Luis.

We had a great experience on this tour! Our tour guide was super friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. He gave us clear directions and shared some really helpful tips before the hike. My wife had twisted her ankle, and he was incredibly thoughtful in explaining our alternatives in case we weren't able to complete the main hike. I also forgot to bring water, and thankfully, he had an extra bottle that he kindly gave me. We really appreciated how helpful and accommodating he was throughout the experience. Highly recommend this tour!

Eduardo, our guide, is a sweet angel. He is a Madeira native and was so amazing to listen to, and just good spirited. He drove off-roading in fog and rain and was calm, cool, collected through it all - keeping us safe! We immediately were so excited to meet him because sometimes tour guides can be kind of lame… but he was truly so great! And so patient. We truly can’t stop talking about Eduardo who holds the heart of Madeira! we can’t wait to come back and hopefully see him again and also get a tour of where he shops… he had amazing style!!! Eduardo forever!

Fab trip. Saw dolphins and whales. Lots of interesting facts. We had calm seas and Lovely views of Madeira. Plenty of room on the catamaran to move around to see. There was also time for swimming in the sea off of the catamaran so don’t forget to take your swimming costume!

Great Day Trip!!!

We had such a fantastic day exploring Madeira on this 4x4 tour! The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and we loved getting to see so many different parts of the island. We experienced just about every climate Madeira has to offer in one day! We did get rained on, but it didn’t take away from the experience at all. I would definitely recommend bringing a raincoat because the weather can change quickly. Such a fun and memorable day, and a wonderful way to see the island. Highly recommend!

Book it! Long line of hikers waiting for taxis after hike.

Our driver was on time, professional and provided clear directions at dropoff for entrance to hike, and pointed out the area to watch sunrise prior to hike. He was on time for pick up, and provided history about the island on our return to Funchal. There was a line of people waiting for a taxi in parking lot after hike. Its worth it to guarantee a quick return trip after the 5.7 mile hike!

One of the best boat trips I've ever taken

Faultless and if you can afford this trip, take it as they run a small group with wonderful staff. Boat was in great condition, plenty of drinks and snacks, take your trunks/cozzie as a swim is well worth it. They provided towels and somewhere to change, there was also a freshwater shower to use. We did see a good number of Pilot Whales but honestly, that become secondary for me on what was a brilliant trip. Thank you!

The only way to see Maderia.

The only way to see the island, a small independent company operated by two great local guys. Fábio an absolute gentleman took care of us on this superb adventure across Madeira. The sites, the hills, the views the adventure off road was just superb. A full day trip that was just a pleasure. Every stop is around 20 minutes from each so it feels easy and the shortcuts the 4X4 takes themselves are entertainment.

A amazing morning trip!

We had the most incredible trip with Luca & Manny onboard! Luca was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife of Madeira & Manny was a fantastic supporting host & camera man! We were lucky enough to follow a group of Fin Whales and we saw several blows. We also saw a dolphin, seal & jellyfish. We also stopped for a swim which was delightful. The boat was perfect for the small group of passengers and it was a very intimate trip. We thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend!! Thank you :)
