What are people saying about Madeira

Nice walk with some interesting points. Recommend waterproof boots and a torch for thr tunnel section.
Well organised from the hotel pick up to the drop off afterwards.
Paulo our guide worked hard to make sure everybody in the group was comfortable with the pace and kept informed about what was happening.
The poxt walk coffee/drinks stop was definitely a case of going the extra mile!
Definitely Recommended!!

Recommended tour
Friendly and professional guide. Renato was excellent in talking about the flora as we ascended and descended the narrow roads. He made some clever calls to reorganize the tour to avoid heavy traffic. This tour gave us a wonderful overview of the west and north of Maderia.

Highly recommended
So worth doing. Diogo was amazing, perfect English, very chatty, knowledgeable and super proud of his island. He slightly altered the tour to adapt to the weather so that we had the best experience. Can’t recommend highly enough. He also does airport transfers so we booked him for those too. Thank you Diogo!

Funchal Walking Hidden Insights
I highly recommend doing a walking tour when you visit a new city to really get a feel for the history and learn the little secrets that as a tourist you would be unaware of. It adds to the richness of your visit and this tour ticked all the boxes. Thankyou Dulcie for your informative, engaging tour. Nat and I really appreciated your deep knowledge of Funchal (Fennel 😁)
We highly recommend when you visit this beautiful island, thank you 🙏

Best way to see the west - even on a stormy day!
Our guide Bruno was a superb driver on the very steep roads always carefully taking the many turns and parking in safe and convenient spots. The 30 min stops are sometimes a bit of a rush depending on how busy a spot is e.g. Cabo Girão had a queue to purchase the ticket (better to buy it in advance online) and was busy on the platform too. If you need a toilet stop (bring 0,50cents) as well it can be tight.
Bruno had a lot of interesting information which he explained to us during the drive between stops. He is a fun and humorous guy who shows care when things need attention. We had to take a little detour towards the end because someone slipped and needed medical care. Bruno handled the situation in a calm and organised manner. We had a great tour and I would recommend it highly.

Excellent experience
Excellent experience - if you just want a pick up to take you to PR1/PR3 then this is for you. Our driver picked us up with plenty of time to get to Pico do Arieiro. We arrived at dark so we could see the whole sunrise. We were given about 3 hours to watch the sunrise and complete PR1.
The whole experience was smooth. We would definitely recommend.

An unforgettable Sunrise experience
I would highly recommend this trip. Our guide George, was incredibly kind, friendly and thoughtful - he even provided each of us with a blanket to keep us warm in the cold mountain air. He made sure we knew exactly where to go for the best sunrise views, which were breathtaking. A small tip for future travellers: if you prefer not to use your phone for light, be sure to bring a torch for the walk to the viewing site.

Beautiful hike through nature
This December my wife and I traveled to Madeira for our honeymoon. We knew that we wanted to get out in nature, but weren’t sure what hike to start with. We had a pretty basic checklist. It had to include waterfalls, beautiful views, and be a distance that wouldn’t leave us sore for the rest of our trip. This hike checked all of those boxes and more. Our guide was knowledgeable and shared interesting history about the levadas throughout the hike. It was immediately obvious how much he cared about land and wildlife conservation. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hike to anyone who asks.

Wonderful trip to do
It’s very very cold ( eyeballs frozen cold) and windy in the mountains, wrap up warm, take good grip trainers/ shoes.
It’s magical, Mother Nature put on the best show, was truly breath taking. There are viewing points so you do not have to walk the stairway to heaven if you do not want, if mobility challenged etc. There is a small cafe, gift shop and toilets there.
Our driver was so lovely, happy, knowledgeable and spoke english, and picked up and drop off at hotel.

Town tour
Margarida, our driver was EXCELLENT. She gave us wonderful understanding of the Island's history, economics, culture, and dynamics. As a local, she was able to answer all our questions with much insight. The tour hit as many top sites as was possible in a 90 minute tour.

An unmissable spectacular experience
This was a stunning walk with some of the most spectacular scenery I have ever come across. It was well led by Martha. It was only 4.3 miles but it's a steep ascent of more than 2000 feet, so isn't easy. There is an option to get transported for the most difficult part. I'm 78 and was able to climb it without a problem. The final section to the Stairway to Heaven is a bit narrow and is a steep up and down and needs approaching with caution if you suffer with vertigo. I found it exciting and the views were worth it - just stunning.

Well organised and really enjoyable.
Really well organised with good information beforehand. The driver, Radko was punctual, a considerate driver and gave good information and was friendly- all in all, great. Part of the P1 hike is closed so you do an ‘in and out’ of the section of P1- brill views, and then part of the P3 hike. It’s mostly downhill, a mixture of terrain- steps, stone paths and then more challenging narrow stone sections. It’s well marked. It’s really beautiful and we enjoyed it a lot. Would recommend the tour service.
