Yes. Centuries ago, Florence earned its reputation as a center of learning and culture, so consider honoring that history by taking a class or participating in a workshop while in the city. Few travel experiences are more satisfying than taking an authentic Italian cooking class or an art workshop while surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Capital of Artists.

Per one customer who booked the Florence: Pasta Cooking Class With Unlimited Wine, "We have been in Italy now for almost a week, and my three teenage boys said that this is their favorite thing we have done so far! I wasn't sure how they would like a cooking class, but it was so engaging, and the food was so good that my boys were in heaven!"

Most of these classes are created to be accessible for students of any skill level. Consider what restrictions, if any, you may have, depending on the type of class. For example, cooking classes in Italy typically teach pizza and pasta recipes that often contain gluten, cheese, eggs, and other potential allergens. Since many of these cooking classes are pre-structured, it may be difficult for instructors to source substitute ingredients. Be sure to ask any questions well in advance if you have dietary intolerances or restrictions.

There probably won’t be a test at the end. Remember that you’re there to learn and have fun. Nobody’s first pasta is going to be perfect—especially if it’s a risotto. Classes and workshops in Florence offer you a way to connect to the city (the things that really give Florence its unique character), so the best tip for taking classes or workshops is to relax, live in the moment, and enjoy yourself.
