This tour begins outside the “Colosseo” metro station (Line B - ground level). Your guide will be waiting in front of the green kiosk, holding a sign with the ‘What a Life Tours’ logo on it. Please remember that Rome’s streets can be confusing, we recommend allowing extra time in case you get lost.

- Please plan on being at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start time.
- We are unable to accommodate late arrivals as we have a timed entrance to respect. Missed tours due to late arrivals are non-refundable. Please allow extra time to reach the meeting point as Rome's streets can be confusing.
- The itinerary is subject to change depending on the timed entry slot of the Colosseum.

This was an AMAZING tour highly recommended. We learned so much that we otherwise wouldn’t have know if we toured on our own. Our tour guide Daniela S. was great!!! It was fantastic! Our tour guide was like a university professor. He had so much knowledge of history, languages, culture and customs. I did not want the tour to end. He made you want to read up and learn more about the historical periods. He was extremely professional, and warm hearted. He sparked curiosity of all the events that happened within the Roman empire.

This was a small group tour of the Colosseum with arena floor admission. From there we went into the Roman Forum. Truly was a small group tour with only 10 people in the group. Daniela the tour guide was excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable and provided excellent insight into what exactly we were looking at along the way.
The tour allowed us to skip the lengthy lines at the Colosseum and the Forum. There was a minimal wait for security check at the Forum, but we breezed quickly into the Colosseum.
Don’t think twice and book this tour. Matter of fact consider any tour offered by this company, our experience at the Vatican through What a Life Tours was similarly excellent. Cannot recommend them enough!

Overall it was a good tour. Our guide, Carlotta, was knowledgeable and shared a lot of information about the Roman era - almost information overload. But it would be hard without a guide as you wouldn't know what you were looking at. We would book it again.

The tour was very good, and our tour guide John Tinto was very subject knowledgeable, he was considerate towards the needs of the group ( my wife doesn't walk fast). We got a good tour around the old part and the Coleseum itself. Nothing was rushed and all of our questions were answered with a good depth of knowledge. All in all a fantastic experience.

Great experience & a must to book with this company, once booked you are constantly kept up to date via email & WhatsApp. The meeting place is easy to find with the directions provided via maps. The guide we had named Manuella was superb in every sense. She was so knowledgable about the Colosseum, Palatine Hill & Roman Forum. She really cared about our group staying together &, left nobody behind. It’s a busy tour but an enjoyable one & once over you can remain in the Colosseum if you so desire. I highly recommend this guide and this tour. She did an excellent job and her English was clear. She was very knowledgeable and even stopped long enough at great picture sites so we could snap a shot. Our tour was semi private and she even snapped a few important photos for us. Yes! The tour is a 3-hour walking tour, and with the ups and downs of the terrain, there are quite a few stairs and inclines to navigate. However, the pace is more of a stroll rather than a brisk walk, allowing guests time to enjoy what they’re seeing while keeping up comfortably with their guide.

We were, unfortunately, a few minutes late for the tour. They called to make sure we were coming, and did wait for us. (Had trouble getting out of a restaurant.) The tour was very good - though - once again - it went much longer than the time listed in the description. Three and a half hours in, we were heading for the next stop. Three of us were exhausted as we had flown in the day before and had toured all day. Guide gave us an opportunity to leave, and we did so. My husband stayed and enjoyed the finish very much. Very knowledgeable guide with LOTS to share. For those of us with less capacity for all those dates and history, a shorter version would have been fine. However, certainly nothing wrong with anything that was done. - Just our personal preference. And when tours go over the listed time, it is hard to plan out the day.

We were supposed to be on a small group tour and was fortunate to be the only couple on the tour. We were told by the tour guide that this operator takes the word small seriously. They never have more than 6-8 people. Our guide Robert was well versed, took us slowly without rushing us, answered all our questions and was truly enjoyable to be with. The tickets to get on the arena platform IS A MUST!
