A very enjoyable day with Sheila and Gary. Visited Leeds castle and Canterbury Cathedral. Sheila did a guided tour of the cathedral with much insight and information. Then we saw the Cliffs of Dover and walked on the pebble beach. Had a drive by narrative of Dover Castle with interesting war time perspectives.

Favorite tour of our whole London trip!

My husband and I booked this tour with some amount of trepidation (worried that the traveling time on the bus would be excessive), but this turned out to be our favorite tour of our whole trip! And we did a LOT of tours while we were in London! Despite the fact that there were 60 people in our group, our guide, Frank, did an excellent job narrating the trip and giving each stop meaning. Our first stop was Oxford, and we were there for a little less than 2 hours. It was just enough time to eat lunch, use the restroom, and poke around the Ashmolean Museum for a few minutes. We tried to follow the guided walking tour with the rest of the group, but it was impossible to hear anything with 60 people. So we just did our own thing and met back at the bus for the next portion of the drive. The second stop we made was in the little village of Bampton, which was very cute! Our group spent about an hour here. Since this village was not as crowded as Oxford, it was much easier to follow along with the guided tour and hear all of the fun tidbits about filming scenes from Downton Abbey in the Village. Our third and final stop was the crowning Jewel of the tour, Highclere Castle. We were given 2 hours to enjoy the castle and the gardens. This turned out to be a decent amount of time. I really could have spent all day there, but 2 hours was enough time to see everything. We lucked out and had beautiful weather in the afternoon, so most of our pictures of the castle have blue skies in the background. The interior of the castle is just stunning, and the grounds are peaceful and beautiful too. Frank did a terrific job on the bus intercom system giving meaning to our drive. A few times he apologized for talking too much, but in my opinion, he could have talked a whole lot more! I would have enjoyed having him narrate even more the drive, as he was fun and engaging to listen to.

All you will ever need to know about Jack the Ripper!

Mick, our tour guide, has the most phenomenal knowledge regarding all aspects of Jack the Ripper. He has even written a book on the subject. He gave us an enlightening overview of the gruesome murders, which was highlighted with actual printed pictures and even digital slides provided by a portable overhead projector! We learned so much on this subject, and highly recommend Mick!

Great, but be Forewarned

We were not aware that the front of the palace would be covered by scaffolding for restoration work. Also, an area of the interior was closed off and being set and decorated for an event. The other public rooms, the Churchill exhibit, gardens, grounds, and stables were lovely and interesting. Kevin, the tour guide was knowledgeable and funny, and Patrick the coach driver was excellent. We enjoyed ourselves and were comfortable.

We booked this tour for our Dad’s Birthday. It’s a great way to see the sights of Soho, visit small pubs you’d not normally go to all tied together with some well told story’s about the history of rock and roll. A civilised Pub Crawl with History thrown in

Fun afternoon spent exploring historic pubs around the City. Very well organised and our guide Will had some very interesting stories about the pubs we visited. We visited 4 pubs in total. I’ve worked in and around the city for most of my career but hadn’t visited any of the pubs we went too. I liked the fact that the tour was organised for small groups. I believe on the day there were 3 groups in total and we all visited other places so it wasn’t too busy. We had tables reserved in the bars so we were able to sit while we sampled the recommended ales.

Great tour with solar guide

It was a very nice city tour with a great guide. Eva was extremely solar and seemed truly passionate. The tour was made during the evening yet we were able to see everything! She was funny, informative and really helpful for some recommendations around the end. The questions were given at relevant time and not just thrown as a test right in the middle, thus, you can easily search in your memory for the right answer. Thank you again Eva ! You are awesome !

Such a great way to see...

Such a great way to see London and all the lights. We had only gotten off a plane a few hours before and found it to be a great introduction for our visit. We actually loved the whole experience so much that my husband even considered booking again to do it a few days later! The tour guide was amazing, it’s a shame I can’t remember his name because he had so much information on all the buildings we passed and even the story behind how shops came to start going some of the big displays they do.
