Breathtaking Palace

The palace was breathtaking! We entered through the VIP entrance (highly recommend paying for skip the line entrance), our tour company was The Tour Guy and our guide was Weir. He was very informative, knowledgeable and funny. The palace is huge but gorgeous and gaudy all at the same time. I would recommend a full day tour if you want to take your time and explore the gardens extensively or if you would like to walk around the town a bit.

Wonderful Experience

Phillipe was an excellent guide. He was an extremely knowledgeable guide and offered very interesting details in an easy manner. He was fun to listen to and very energetic. The palace is gorgeous, but crowded (as expected). We grabbed a quick lunch there as well and found the food very fresh and tasty, and reasonably priced.

The grounds are immense! Taking the golf cart helps you explore more of the impressive gardens! We were a family of 4 so two golf carts were needed, two carts were included in the price. Our guide, Alex with LivTours was GREAT! He was extremely knowledgeable about the palace, the kings and French history in general. He was polite, enthusiastic and a pleasure to tour with.

Guide is a must to navigate and appreciate the Louvre

Having a local, knowledgable guide is extremely helpful in navigating the immense space of the Louvre Museum. Our guide Malaika was fun, and knowledgable with lots of information I would not have learned with an audio headset. While I saw other visitors spending time studying maps and trying to figure out what floor or gallery they were near, Malaika efficiently guided us through the "must sees" while allowing time for us to absorb what we were viewing. I would highly recommend her for anyone who wants to experience the Louvre art.

Great tour with Anne-Sophie!

Our guide, Anne-Sophie was fantastic! The meeting point is easy to find. The Get Your Guide Office is right across the street from the train station (Versailles Rive Gauche). The office is to the right of McDonalds. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff there as well. Anne-Sophie made French history come alive as she explained different points of interest in each room. She navigated the crowds flawlessly and provided headphones so we could all hear well. She answered all of our questions and even encouraged them. We freely explored the gardens and Trionons after (as we booked the garden ticket that included them). It’s a very vast estate so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. I had about 20,000 steps that day and that’s with using the “petit train”that goes between the palace and the Trionons. Thank you for a great tour, Anne-Sophie!
