You can stay in the cabin or experience the adventure of the wind whipping your hair, and the sights boggling your mind, while also delighting your eyes on this fantastic fjord cruise in Bergen. Clocking in at 3.5 hours, this cruise serves as a great way to spend a half day on the waters near this history-filled city. While snacks and drinks are available for purchase, it's cheaper to board the boat with items you've already purchased at one of the one million 7-Eleven stores or readily available grocery stores. My best advice: get out of the cabin and stand on the top deck of the vessel for fabulous and naturally theatrical 360-degree scenes as you fly through the water. Take a video of the approximately two-minute approach as you return to the harbor, where on the starboard side, you get an excellent view of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Bryggen, the old wharf of Bergen. It is also an excellent value for the money (I went in the off season--end of October). Enjoy!

Awesome tour with Vibeke!

Amazing, beautiful...

Amazing, beautiful fjords! The cruise itself was great, comfortable and relaxing. The glass windows are large enough to take photos from the warm cabin inside, but I had the best time being outside with the nature and the breeze. We were very lucky to have sunny, clear weather, although that meant the waterfalls in the fjords did not have much water to show for like usual but still a pleasant cruise. Autumn season still gave the fjords a lovely yellow-and-green fall foliage color.

5 star tour!

Such a great tour! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the history of Bergen and the small group size made it much easier to both hear and interact with our guide. There were only 4 of us in the group, my partner and I and another couple from the States. Food was wonderful as well and u would definitely recommend this tour.

Best tour in Norway.

It was fabulous. Every bit of it. We had a beautiful Mercedes bus with charging stations at each seat that reclined. We had 2 diff rail way cars, with bathrooms. We stopped at all the best places to sightsee and the Viking village was magnificent . The tour guide was wonderful as well;) Overall the best luxurious tour we have done. Well worth the money. ;)

Gorgeous tour!

Great tour! We loved our guide Thomas, he is so knowledgeable and fun. We found out so many interesting things about Norway! The scenery is breathtaking! It’s very nicely built tour, you get to ride comfortable bus, gorgeous boat through the fjords and then the scenic train ride!! Unique experience, definitely recommend!!

Excellent & Well-Organized Day Tour

This was an excellent and well-organized tour with Travel North! Our guide, V was fun and helpful, sharing stories about all our destinations and keeping everyone entertained. We were able to stay on schedule to see all the destinations on the itinerary, despite some group members being a little inconsiderate of instructions at times. We traveled on the same bus throughout the whole day, so we were able to leave personal belongings there comfortably. The bus was clean, air-conditioned, and had charging ports which was convenient. We didn't feel like we needed to take much with us every time we got off the bus, except for a water bottle during the hike and any personal essentials like phone/camera, lip balm, etc. There were lots of stops for bathroom breaks and cafes/drinks/snacks along the way. The hike to Bondhus Lake was fairly easy and took about an hour and a half total from the starting point to the lake all the way back to the bus (depending on your pace). The views were incredible and it was wonderful seeing all the little towns and villages, learning about their traditions and culture, and meeting locals throughout the tour. We got really lucky with sunny weather, but I would recommend wearing light, breathable/comfortable clothing and bringing a hat and raincoat just in case. I wore hiking boots, but regular sneakers would probably be sufficient for the whole day. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour for anyone traveling to the area.

Excellent

This was an excellent tour overall. Fjord drive tours did the tour. The vehicle (20 passengers) was clean, comfortable and well maintained with a professional, friendly driver (Gary) who spoke excellent English. As everyone arrived on time by 8:45 we were able to do some additional photo stops. The boat was 100%, as was the train (sit right facing forward) The Viking village is nice but touristy with many of the staff from other countries. This tour makes for a long day but is still an excellent tour. The driver leaves you after embarking the boat but this is fine as it easy to get on the next part of the jorney.
